watching the second season of jjk truly is an emotional rollercoaster because i’m trying very hard to be happy about satosugu’s silly little bickering and conversations being animated but then at the same time i full on sobbed when suguru said “we are the strongest”. and it’s so bittersweet like yes! yes you are the strongest my two gay fish. and then it dawns what ACTUALLY happened and i’m sat here like,, satosugu nation truly cannot be happy :D

“my six eyes tell me you’re suguru geto but my soul knows otherwise” is such a raw line that you’d think it’s from a satosugu fanfiction but it’s actually from satosugu canon

just realized that satoru saying "love is the most twisted curse of all" is because of his personal experience, and not just because of what happened to yuta

i remember this tweet that goes like satoru cursed suguru the same way yuta did to rika, that he kept suguru alive out of love which allowed him to harm other people, the same way rika harmed people because yuta kept her alive by cursing her

satoru definitely knows that suguru has harmed and will harm people. he called him the worst curse user, he knows that as long as suguru lives, people will be harmed

and yet he chose to let suguru live, because he loves him.

and because of that, he put the people close to him, his students, in danger.

satoru tried to correct that mistake, to "break the curse" that he put in suguru by loving him, by killing him.

and yet after his death, love being the most twisted curse of all still stands true for satoru.

because out of love (either for shoko by not wanting her to be the one who dissect and dispose of suguru's body, or for suguru by him not being ready to let go; either way it's still out of love), satoru was not able to properly dispose of suguru's body, which made it possible for kenjaku to inhabit suguru's body, resulting his students being harmed, killing his friend, and seal him in that box

just. the way kenjaku knew satoru's weakness is suguru (and his memories of them) and bc of that he was able to put satoru inside the prison realm.

the way satoru said "my six eyes tells me you're suguru geto but my soul knows otherwise" and how they can recognize each other by their souls enough for gojo to reject what his six eyes, his power that makes him unbeatable and untouchable, is telling him.

the way the japanese raws for that phrase says that satoru's soul "denies" that the geto in front of him despite the body and cursed energy matches with geto is not suguru. satoru simply denies it bc his soul knows suguru's.

the way suguru's soul took over kenjaku for a split second after satoru talked to him.

the way their existence and techniques has affected the world so much.

the way satoru wasnt able - couldn't - kill suguru and that made way for kenjaku to use suguru's body. akin to how yuuta cursed rika.

the way satoru said "i've always believed love manifests the most distorted curses" and suguru said "you should at least curse me at the end"

the way they are the strongest when theyre together.

the way satoru said "my best friend did. my one and only." and suguru said "he was my best friend."

lowkey gonna rant bc it makes me kinda upset how the fandom tends to forget the depth of satoru’s character. like yes the fanon version of him being a player, a himbo, being immature etc. may be fun but i feel like maybe, just a tad bit people blurred the line between fanon and canon. so now we have this incredibly sad character with a tragic backstory being painted as a cocky mf. like i love the ✨yassification✨ of satoru but can we also talk about the literal trauma he’s been put through :D i feel like we just collectively kinda ignore that and i’d love to see more people talk about his character in the manga and how much he’s offered, besides his gINORMOUS TI- :)

satosugu is just SUCH a funny ship bc you have gojo who is literally the strongest jujutsu sorcerer ever to the point his birth completely tipped the balance of the jujutsu world and everyone’s been playing catch up since, and he’s just this terrifying piece of shit NOTORIOUS for his insufferable personality, untouchable and stupidly overpowered, and suddenly some guy - and he is literally just some guy - shows up being also stupidly overpowered and is just 110% willing and ready to beat the actual shit out of gojo at any given moment
