How would your wol(oc) describe their fashion style?

Stryde is paired with Y'shtola. This is in part due to word getting around of him being wildly in love with a miqote scion. It just so happens that miqote scion is fellow Warrior of Light Char'li Valiente.

Stryde and Y'shtola, on the other hand, have precisely no romantic or sexual chemistry because they're too busy being passive-aggressive intellectual and philosophical rivals.

Stryde finds this pairing horrifying, but impossible to look away from. Like a train wreck. He would probably analyze the material for new ways to mess with Y'shtola for fun.

Your WoL finds a romance novel written about them. Who are they paired with and how do they react?

Stryde has two alternate timeline variants to encompass the jobs that wouldn't make sense for him.

The first is a Stryde who came to Ul'dah to join law enforcement, becoming a gladiator instead of a thaumaturge to start his adventuring career. The paladin questline was basically him working undercover for Ul'dah's Internal Affairs and contributed to the Brass Blades framing him for the end of ARR post game. Afterward, he picked up RDM, MNK, BLU, and AST since he never screwed up his aether circuits like mainline Stryde. Aesthetically, he's distinguished by every job outfit having a pair of sunglasses. Personality-wise, he's kind of an arrogant prick compared to the moody and eccentric mainline Stryde.

The second is a Stryde that survived the Black Rose attack due to his defective aether circuits, but still lost his right eye and what little aether control he had left and couldn't even be a machinist anymore. With no more capacity for direct combat, he resorted to jobs with more potential for subterfuge like NIN, BRD, and DNC and began slotting materia into his right eye socket to bolster himself with a few unorthodox abilities. Aesthetically, he's distinguished by every job outfit having some sort of covering for his right eye. Personality-wise he's tired, depressed without his allies, and abandoned what few scruples he had before the Black Rose took everything away from him.

Do I have a problem needing AUs to justify picking up a job for my main? Yes. Do I mainly pick up jobs because I came up with an idea for a glam? Also, yes. It's still fun, though.

Ink Long Dry epitomizes Stryde. It's eclectic, sporadic, classy, and moody.

Locus is indicative of his hyper-existential thought patterns.

And then there's Who Brings Shadow, which fits his cynical view of the overarching conflict.
