SQL Inventory Manager
View your SQL Server inventory - know what you have where & who owns it
Auto-discover any new servers installed, to better manage server sprawl
Set tags to better organize servers and databases across the enterprise
Perform health checks to monitor server operation and capacity
Quickly deploy and access from anywhere via web-based and agentless UI
Discover all SQL Servers Across the Enterprise
Scan the network to find all your SQL Servers and databases including databases on AlwaysOn Availability Groups. Scan by domain, IP address ranges, and/or import your own server lists from excel or CSV files. Flexibly schedule discoveries to locate newly added servers daily, by specific days of the week &/or at particular times of day. Create an inventory report for all managed, unmanaged, and decommissioned instances within the SQL Server environment. In addition users can discover BI services (SSRS, SSIS, SSAS) running in their environment.
Get Complete Visibility
See all those servers lurking that you may not have known existed including SQL Express instances. Users can manually add or set auto-registration to add discovered instances to SQL Inventory Manager for monitoring and get recommendations to bring the instances up to maintenance. Capture the SQL licensing details for each instance in a consolidated report.
Monitor and Manage Inventory
Go beyond Microsoft’s Assessment Planning (MAP) toolkit for SQL Server inventory tracking. Automatic discovery and a Global Dashboard provide high-level visibility of all server inventory. Learn what you have, which servers are improperly configured and what actions might need to be taken for instances competing for memory and resources. Also compare your current SQL Server builds with the latest build from Microsoft to determine if you have the latest patches or versions.
Establish Tags to Group and Analyze Inventory
Create tags at the server, instance and database levels to organize by owner, location, function or other categories to suit different needs. You can even mark servers as “unmanaged” to revisit for follow-up later. A tag cloud displays on the Dashboard that groups the tags created to quickly visualize the size of those groups comparatively by prominence or importance.
Run Health Checks and Receive Availability Alerts
Perform regular health checks on monitored servers to gauge adherence to configuration best practices. Receive email alerts for key server indicators such as when servers are down, whether a database has ever been backed up or early warning when you are about to run out of space. Generate a customizable health check report to consolidate all active health check findings. Plus view the findings in a simple list with recommendations for improvement from SQL Server experts.
Deploy Quickly and Scale Out as Needed
Agentless, low impact design offers download, install and use in under 5 minutes with no other modules or installation necessary on monitored servers. A stand-alone web application with no need for IIS provides a simple sign on to login and use remotely from anywhere. Plus it is designed to scale up as you grow, capable of monitoring and managing thousands of databases running on DEV, PROD, QA, TEST or SQL Express instances.

Monitor application transactions with SQL Workload Analysis add-on.
View expert recommendations from SQL Doctor to optimize performance.
Alert predictively with settings to avoid false alerts.
View summary of top issues and alerts with the web console add-on.
Monitor Performance of Physical, Virtual, and Cloud Environments
Easily monitor and view the performance of physical servers, virtual servers (VMware and Hyper-V), and cloud environments to get a complete view of SQL Server databases. View performance metrics and alerts for virtual machines and their related hosts including CPU, memory, disk usage, network etc. to get a complete performance picture of the SQL server environment.
Monitor Performance of Queries
Identify and monitor inefficient and poor performing SQL queries, batches, statements and stored procedures causing blocks and deadlocks, such as long or most frequent queries or queries consuming unusually high CPU or I/O. Thresholds can be configured on each individual server allowing for greater flexibility, and the interface makes it very easy to see the most costly queries by looking at individual query executions or query signatures.
*NEW* Monitor Application Transactions with SQL Workload Analysis Add-on
Now available in the Pro version of SQL Diagnostic Manager Monitor query waits, sample SQL continuously, drill down into transaction analysis, view recommendation to improve queries, tune statement plans, and resolve locks and latches with the SQL Workload Analysis add-on. Isolate application problems and receive recommended remedies. Combine the operational monitoring from SQL Diagnostic Manager and transactional monitoring with SQL Workload Analysis to view instance properties and alerts, receive prescriptive recommendations for operational diagnosis, analyze workloads for transactional diagnosis, and arrive at a comprehensive root cause analysis.
View Expert Recommendations from SQL Doctor
View expert recommendations from IDERA’s SQL Doctor that are an integral part of SQL Diagnostic Manager at no additional cost. Enhance performance and speed up problem resolutions with built-in tuning advice and best practices developed by SQL Server MVPs. Analysis workflows embed this valuable information. Continuous Monitoring
Today, the clear direction of government IT management is continuous monitoring or protective monitoring of infrastructure. SolarWinds IT solutions serve multiple purposes simultaneously and are able to generate a vast number of customized views from the same streams of data. For example, an IT operations team requires views into data that provide insight on performance, availability, and reliability. On the other hand, a cyber security team needs to look at the same data with a focus on security, compliance, and vulnerability.
SolarWinds has software that can Collect Once, Report Many, which gives IT, Information Assurance, and security departments the unique functionality they each need, from a single, cost-effective set of tools.

Idera Er/Studio
Create effective data models to build a business-driven data architecture
Document and enhance existing databases to reduce redundancy
Implement naming standards to improve data consistency and quality
Effectively share and manage data models across the enterprise
Map data sources and trace origins to enhance data lineage
Design Effective Data Models
Data modeling helps organizations make better business decisions with accurately interpreted and rapidly changing data. Whether you are creating a new model from a conceptual diagram or reverse-engineering from an existing database, IDERA ER/Studio Data Architect is a powerful tool that helps you easily and effectively design and manage your logical and physical data models.
Build a Business-driven Data Architecture
Data architects need to ensure that everyone in the organization understands what the data is and can explain it in business terms. Data Architect provides an easy-to-use visual interface for data modeling professionals to document, understand, and publish information about data models and databases so they can be better harnessed to support business objectives.
Reduce Redundancy
Import and reverse-engineer content from multiple data sources into logical and physical data models, and integrate the elements into reusable constructs with an enterprise data dictionary. Leverage rich text editing along with relationship color inheritance to enhance model content and appearance.
Improve Data Consistency and Quality
Assign a naming standards template to your model, submodel, entities, and attributes. Those naming standards will be applied automatically between the logical and physical models, simplifying the data modeling process and ensuring consistency between models.
Share and Manage Enterprise Data Models
The multi-level design layers in ER/Studio Data Architect allow for the accurate visualization of data, which promotes communication between business and technical users. Manage model version control and share data assets in the repository. Create and track tasks and view changes to data models aligned to agile workflows.
Enhance Data Lineage
Universal mappings provide links between instances of the same concept across models and databases to enhance traceability even further, and data lineage shows the connections between databases, models, metadata, and data sources for traceability. Organizations can obtain a clear understanding of where their data originated, where it is used, and what the data actually means.
ER/Studio Data Architect is available in two editions: The standard ER/Studio Data Architect edition is the feature-rich tool with extensive data modeling capabilities across multiple relational and big data platforms, along with import bridges for other common modeling tools. The ER/Studio Data Architect Professional edition also includes the model repository for version control and agile change management.
Want to see which version of ER/Studio Data Architect is right for you or looking for next level of collaboration with business glossaries and metadata?
