Hey guys, remember the box of prototype rotg toys for the Carl's Jr kids meal that went up for auction last year? I talked about it in this post

Well the collection is up on Ebay if you're interested. The seller wants to keep it together as a set and will not be parting it out, but I have confirmation that they are the owner of the items so it is not a scam. They were kind enough to send me additional pictures to verify.

This collection does not, unfortunately, include Sandy's Imagination Tube but does have his crayon.

The winner of the auction has decided to sell this collection together as a lot, they will be updating with new photos soon and I will link to their listing.

Carls Jr/Hardees toys

This advertisement claims the Eggs come in 3 colors but it is likely a typo as there have only ever been 2 colors in all pictures.

The complete Carls Jr set, including both egg color variants, unopened will go for around $100. The printed kids meal bag is usually online for around $10, and the Jack Frost straw is the most sought after item worth $25 by itself.

There was recently (march 2024) an estate auction where a box of Carls Jr toy prototypes and design notes was sold for $12. Below are the pictures from that sale.

I’ve never had a reheading go this horribly before. I’d say I’m pretty good at beheading- I may have broken a neck once or twice, but never any parts I actually liked or intended on keeping, and usually a reheading is the easiest thing, right? Just a little squish and a pop and done, a complete person. But this time it just- it just won’t go back on the body?? Which is incredibly frustrating but also, like, why??

And the funniest thing is, I’m not even swapping a head!! This is a curvy dancer head going onto a curvy dancer body!! They match!! This should have been so simple!! But no, this head’s just flopping around like a limp flaccid idiot and my hands are all red and sore now but the head just isn’t attaching all the way!!

Today I did six beheadings and two other reheadings, and I wanted to get this one attached so I could take a picture, but somehow it just isn’t working!! The head is just getting squished around but isn’t stretching over the neck right!! And I’m way too lazy to go and boil the head just to make the slip easier!! And I don’t wanna keep forcing it cuz I might break something but this is!! So frustrating!!

Like, what could I possibly be doing wrong!! Fuck!!

The best thing about being a toy collector is when the kids who dont live with you come over and want to play with all your cool toys and are so excited it gets the kids who DO live with you wanting to play with your cool toys and you find out they have a FAVORITE toy you keep on display in your room and you make plans to leave it to them in your will.

Anyway, my 10 year olds are smacking my $3 Jack Frost mcdonalds toy into my $150 Sonic the Hedgehog figure on the kitchen table and making explosion sounds and I love them more than money so I'm allowing it to happen.

Trying to put together figurine stands to hold my rotg mcdonald toys in their display case and SOMEONE would not stop jumping up on my lap, scattering the incredibly tiny screws for the little clear plastic arm.

Tried them out on my new Sonic toys once I got them assembled. I can finally put Bunny and Jack in my Warren diorama.

I still have a lot of posts in my drafts, I swear. I will resume posting soon, I just need to spend most of my days off recovering from work. I've been doing a lot of overtime lately.
