They’re Hex Tech witch designs, we had a much larger story to them that was unfortunately, cut.

Part 1 of my released production artwork from Wizards.  Being the art director on this project taught me so much and it’s an experience I will be forever grateful to have.  This project was a monster and every single person worked tirelessly to make it what it is.

Hi! Is there any chance you could post your concept art for full-monster-Jim, or talk about what your design goals and inspirations there were, or both? I loved that whole bit (in a, you know, it's ripping my heart out way). Thanks for an awesome show and and awesome leadup to the movie!

Full beast Jim was designed by our director, Francisco Ruiz Velasco, I only helped with getting a bit more Jim in the face and finalizing some details so I’ll leave it up to him if he wants to post it :) otherwise our other artist Andrew Murray was tasked with the orthographic turns and texture painting of that piece and I’ll include a link to his model packets!

So in the main antagonistic trio of Wizards, there's a fire sorceress, an ice sorcerer, and a plant/earth sorceress, but I'm curious; what happened to the air sorcerer/sorceress?

We only planned on 3 wizards, from the pitch from GDT, I think it’s the aesthetic of the number 3 that’s always resonated with him so unfortunately no air wizard, I would have loved to design them though!!!!!!

Hello yingjue it's me again and I already saw your beautiful concept art of your cool female trolls and they are looking well designed but I assume they never got made due to budget and I wonder if you made cool female trolls, maybe you designed cool female akiridions from 3below and I wonder what type of cool female aliens did you designed that never got made?

Actually for the akridians I never got to design that many, most of them were designed by Headless Studios, the only akridian I helped to design were the main cast, Zadra and super early concepts of the king and queen that were finalized and designed by AD Francisco Ruiz Velasco! I would have loved to design some more specific akridians though :)

so im only 2 eps into wizards (watching w my sisters, trying to make it last haha) but i just wanted to say that this show is literally. so. gorgeous. i've already rewatched both eps so far just to go through and pause and try and appreciate each shot, but like,,,the backgrounds?? the characters?? its so beautiful??? ahhhh everything is so RICH in detail, absolutely mindblowing!! (the zoom-in of douxie's man bun is quite possibly my favorite thing ever just...a blessing) SUCH FANTASTIC WORK OMG

Thank you so much! We used every penny in our budget to push everything we could, and we learned a ton about what more we could do... so I can’t wait to up its with rise of the Titans

Hello yingjue I watched wizards toa it is awesome and I love the villains in this show, I love the story but I have one question for you if it's ok.i wonder when you might post the concept art for wizards tales of Arcadia on artstation because I really love your art style for this show of wizards and your concept artwork from 3below and trollhunters is a masterpiece.

I’ll definitely be posting!!!!! I’m going to avoid tumblr because of spoilers but will be posting what I can soon ✌️
