𝐣𝐚𝐞𝐢𝐧

         bitna hadn’t meant to snort the way that she did when minseok’s contraption so obviously failed to do what it was supposed to, but she was never one to be able to contain her laughter when something was just too funny. both hands clamped over her mouth, the girl was quick to hide behind the corner of the doorway she had initially been trying to enter the kitchen from. had minseok heard her? was there even any point to hiding like this? she did live here, after all…

         just when she had thought the coast was clear, she attempted to enter the kitch again, only to collide directly with the boy she had been hiding from. stumbling back with a startled squeak, she took a moment to regain her composure before stepping forward again. she leaned close, perhaps too close, to the machine, brows furrowed as she observed it.

         “it’s not supposed to do that, is it?” she asked, unintentionally revealing the fact that she had in fact been eavesdropping on the other. “knock everything over, i mean–”

    he was clearly just trying to make a quick getaway from the kitchen at this point, though he thought he heard someone laugh from behind the wall - he’d already made the commitment to move in that direction so there was no point in going anywhere else. also it really was just the way to his room. thats when she rounded the corner, and the two of them had a brief collison that he backed up from as quickly as he could, reaching up to scratch the back of his neck, still firmly holding onto the robot under his arm. “i suppose you laughed at einstein too whenever he did - uh whatever it was that he did.” he teased, he was smart enough to know that - he’d been smart enough to know a lot of things, but it was more a spur of the moment forgetting than anything.      he started to take the minion duct tape off the bottom of the robot, the part that was holding the motor to the rest of the wiring - as he knew he’d need it again and he was already bored with the idea of this one - wasnt even worth it for him to try and recalibrate it in anyway, he leaned against the counter near by pulling out some of the wires and stuffing the motor into his pocket.  “well yeah, of course thats what its supposed to do.” he remarked, giving a small laugh before speaking again.   “youre in luck it didnt knock over everything, there is some that made it into that bowl. thought i would leave it for the next person that came into the kitchen.” minseok gave a proud look before hoisting himself onto the counter,  knowing damn well that probably only four pieces had actually gotten into the bowl, and that maybe there was a mouthful of milk compared to everything that was on the table. “you can just call me the most generous person here in the sharehouse, i do take those kind of compliments, of course. handsome is another one that i will take - but genius is just not humbling enough to me.” the red head would never be able to drop any sort of ego, it was absolutely just part personality even if none of it was really all that genuine, while he was full of himself - it was just more fun to play it up.

𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐣𝐮𝐧

𝐌𝐈𝐃𝐍𝐈𝐆𝐇𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐍𝐉𝐔𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄 𝐒𝐄𝐑𝐈𝐎𝐔𝐒 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐇𝐔𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑. on his days off from his part-time job, minjun spent his days streaming, usually mukbangs or video games. today was dedicated to the newest sensation, apex legends. he liked to brag about how he got a headshot on ninja once, but it was probably just some guy with ninja in his username. he was still pretty good at the game, despite playing the most useless character, otherwise known as mirage.

after twelve hours & no food breaks, minjun was famished. nothing sounded more appealing than a bowl of his specially prepared ramen, which was too spicy for those he considered weak ( most everyone fell into this category ). practically drooling & deep in thought about his future runny nose, minjun ran into someone. that someone being lee minseok, his childhood companion & current best friend. anyone else would have received a glare, though minjun had clearly not been watching where he was going, but he only smiled in response to the received quip. ❝ the last robot i bought from you tore holes in all my underwear, so. ❞ he rubbed at the back of his neck, laughing awkwardly. he probably shouldn’t have trusted minseok to create a functioning robot, but the thought of a mechanical servant doing his laundry was too good to pass up. ❝ you better not have left a mess in there, because we both know that i won’t be cleaning it up either. ❞ the aries storm constantly brewing inside refused to allow him to clean up anything, not even his own messes. this was why minjun & minseok made such a good pair in his not so humble opinion: they were simply two chaotic peas in a pod.

    sucking in air behind his teeth and turning on his heel to follow back into the room when he realized who it was that was coming in the kitchen - it made sense that minjun would be showing his face now - after not being around for the entire day, the only reason he hadn’t seen him today was because he hadn’t come to interrupt his stream. as he’d become a pretty expected albeit, annoying staple piece at this point. he definitely wasnt as good at video games, he was more of a strictly nintendo gamer - but man, was he good at messing up minjun’s, if nothing more than to just get a laugh out of him.

“there was fine print, did you not read the listing? said that delicates offend it. not my fault youre illiterate.” setting the mechanical arm down on the counter top minseok turned, placing the palms of his hands down on the island in the kitchen, away from the entire mess that he had made, hoisting himself to sit on the edge of it. “speaking of which,” a smile formed on his face as he did a joking sniff of the air. “so when was the last time you had a shower? or did your laundry, stink boy?  i feel like i havent seen you leave your room in a week.” the red head shot out with a smirk on his face, once again crossing his leg over his thigh and leaning back on his hands. the man did look over to where the mess was when minjun brought it up. “you think i made that? get real. you know im one of the cleanest people youve ever had the pleasure of knowing.” that was just a lie, and the look on his face would have been able to tell it all even if the other didn’t know him so well. “someone will clean it eventually, and in my opinion, i think it should be you. considering i just watched you trying to pour that milk. the energy drink shakes getting to you a bit much, gamer?” minseok knew that the dark haired boy would at least be at three, if not more at this point. “what’s for dinner, babe? you know ive been waiting for you to cook all day.” that would be the only reason why he was out this late, “or you wanna take me out? its the least you could do for ignoring me. we could go bug our favourite lady at the place around the corner. you know she misses us.” the two of them had a few favourite restaurants, but this one specifically was a favourite after they’d been up all night playing games together or watching movies. the older woman who owned it called them nuisances and obnoxious, but she always put extra food in their order - wasnt hard to figure out the actual truth.

𝐒𝐀𝐂𝐇𝐀

practice had gone late tonight, with the coach in a sour mood and the team’s performance less than satisfactory. he��d spent the last hour doing endless laps keeping a puck floating just in front of him. it had been tedious work, more of a punishment than a tool to hone his skills. so now sacha’s about two hours past his usual dinner time with more calories burned than normal. so his stomach is gnawing and turning with hunger. he hasn’t even dropped off his equipment bag back in his room. he’s still in his practice gear, hair damp from the quick shower in the locker room. there’s a box of fruit snacks in the cabinet calling his name.

he lingers at the doorway though, when he sees another in the kitchen. there are a few people in the sharehouse he needs to… tread more lightly around. so any unknown presence causes him to freeze and asses before he charges into the room. but the face is unfamiliar to him, as well as the plastic arm in his hands. sacha’s nose wrinkles and he takes a quick step back. “um.” his eyes flicker from the handsome man to the…. design in his arms. “what is that?” he wants to follow up with what an etsy is, but he’s a little more worried about the robotic device suspiciously calm in the other’s arms.

     minseok wasnt surprised that the arm didnt end up working, actually he would have been more concerned if it worked - considered them more to be practical jokes than a feasible living, he found more joy in the ones that did, usually the absolute bare minimum version of what they were actually supposed too and used them more times just to get on peoples nerves. it gave him something to do between work and the general cloud of ruckus that followed him around and now thinking about it. with the state that he’d just left the kitchen in - that was usually just his fault, not that he would absolutely ever admit to that.      so when the man saw the other at the door, he pointed back to the mess without answering his questions first, with a small hint of laughter in his voice. “man, left some cereal out for you. act a little more greatful.” there was a full smirk on his face, after saying that. he gave the arm under his pat before giving a small shrug. “i made it, pretty sure this ones a keeper.” holding it up in front of him, too look it over. “It’s a robotic arm, i got the engine of a fan and minions flavoured duct tape.” he can tell the other is uneasy, so his need to be a clown  - is taking over moreso than anything.

  ▒ ┈ crossing his leg over his thigh, minseok was rounding through his social media tabs pretty aimlessly. it was later in the evening so the sharehouse kitchen was an easy claim for him. now testing a small - he wouldnt even really call this one a robot considering it was just a poorly duct taped together arm with a motor on it. it was supposed to pour him cereal but as it tipped the box over, missed most of the bowl with the cereal, dumped the milk everywhere and didnt even get the spoon to his mouth. the calibrations were far off. minseok didnt show really any reaction to it, still on his phone he just shook his head and looked at the contraction. “hm.” he hummed before playing with the minion themed duct tape, trying to make it a little tighter.        “ well. i guess i still have to use my hands. “ the red head spoke outloud before peeling the tape off the counter, and picking up the robot going to ditch the kitchen without cleaning up his mess at all, he almost walked into someone on the way out. unsure if they had seen anything he just did a two finger salute with a small smirk on his face. “ you can buy this bad boy on my etsy shop. “ patting the poorly thrown together robotic arm.

BIO ( kind of ) 

minseok used to be in computer science in university, his family runs a business that offers firewalls and online protection to some of the biggest companies in the world. he ended up dropping out and his parents cut off his money because of it. he now works at apple and jailbreaks iPhones in the parking lot to make some extra cash.

he makes terrible robots, you know the kind that are supposed to pour your milk into cereal for you but miss and just pour it on the table, a power drill with toilet paper meant to wipe for you but just unspools the entire roll, an alarm clock with a hand on it that just slaps you in the face. some of them are a bit more practical than others… but not by much. he’s always been interested in engineering and not what his family was up too.

hes a massive prankster, was one in high school and it still persists into his adult life and now that he has the dumb robots. it comes across even more.

he has a shitty bike that he uses to get around everywhere, he’s never driven a day in his life, one time someone stole his bike wheel and all he had was a skateboard to get around and skateboarded into work.

homemade beyblades that are actually dangerous because they’re made out of real metal, yugioh cards, old terrible movies that the general public thinks are bad, parties, being out in the middle of the night acting like a hooligan, coffee at 6 am after no sleep, not caring, being an airhead despise how he used to be an honour student.  cant cook just eats instant ramen, mac and cheese and 7/11 food.

party mates. or people that he hangs out with. minseok loves to party - he loves to be the life of the party. so when he gets drunk he does what he can to have fun and make sure everyone else does. these could just be his regular friends they don’t always have to get drunk. he just loves to go out maybe there is an all night arcade that they go to a lot. he’s competitive.

hookups. i do want an awkward one where maybe he shook their hand once afterwards because he didn’t know how to talk to them. but also some regular hookups and just yeah. you know how it be.

someone who’s annoyed with him. just find him grating. he tends to be very over the top and intense he’s so much of a goof and doesn’t seem to care about anything and that can be super off-putting to people.
