Good Morning from the City of Palms! 🏝 🌴 This morning was perfect weather for a “feel good” run. To reconnect with myself and leave all my stress and anxiety on the pavement. I live for that depleted feeling after a run, because I know I gave it my all! Now, onto the best part about my run 🏃🏽‍♀️... ✝️✝️✝️ Two miles in I received a message from Mama B, my friend’s mom who I love dearly, and it was the Bible verse Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for YOU, declares the LORD." • • • Her message continued on to say- “Dear Woman of God, Be still for a while and praise God for His favor, His grace and His awesomeness. God is able to do the impossible and is always near. He loves us unconditionally.” 💓💕 This made me run a little harder and smile a little more! Never underestimate the power of a quick message to someone on your mind. Even if it’s a chain message; it can change a mood, bring peace and love! Have a great day, World! 🌎 💓💞💛💟✝️

| A Husband’s Role | This morning we were all LATE! We slept through both alarms and woke our son up at 7:15 to get to school at 7:30. After rushing my boys out the door, I sat on my couch and moped around/ whined/ complained about going to the gym, and even called my husband to cry about quitting on my goals. Pitty party??? Right here! 🙋🏽‍♀️ Before I could finish whining my husband prayed on the phone over me, and told me to get up, get my sneakers on, and make it happen. I needed that push and boost of confidence, especially from him. One hour and 400 calories burned later, I left the gym feeling amazing. I glorify God for this power moment that we shared. Moments that we never had prior to walking with Christ. Sometimes our will-power alone gets off to a sluggish start and we need a boost of confidence to pull through. Today I was a Warrior! I overcame and I achieved. And I thank my Husband for speaking confidence into my heart. |Accountability Partner| 📖 Proverbs 23:2 📖 | In the last year & a half I’ve been on one huge journey to find myself! To better the core of the person, of the woman, I am. In that journey, I’ve grown as a Christian, mother, wife, family member. I’ve lost some people along the way, but I’ve gained strength in ways unimaginable. This part of my journey is physical. It’s health based and it’s training my body to do new things. In October I started a journey to better myself. Although I’ve always been active, this journey was a huge challenge for me. I ate a restricted vegan diet, and recently started lifting. When I felt short on energy or desire to push through, I kept one, very dramatic, bible verse in mind, “... and put a knife to your throat if you are given to gluttony.” Proverbs 23:2. 🔪 I warned you it was dramatic! 🤦🏽‍♀️ But I had to remind myself constantly that yes, chocolate 🍫 sounds amazing right now, but my health goals outweigh that desire. In 9 weeks I’ve lost weight, I see my energy up even when 3 kiddos drain me, and I see a new shape in my body. God is so faithful to see me through my goals, and encourage me that I am capable of anything in Christ name. When I workout and I’m tired, I play podcasts of Andy Stanley, Joyce Meyer, Family Life, and other speakers that speak life into me at that moment. If you’ve never worked out with Christ, try it. He’s the greatest accountability partner you can have! 👌🏽❣️😘😇🙌🏽💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽

| Humanitarian | A person actively seeking & pursuing the wellbeing of those around them. These past few months our great country has suffered tremendous loss and devastation, including the attack in Las Vegas last night. Seeking light in darkness is sometimes hard to do, but today I can say that despite differences as a nation, so many have given prayers, love, money, time, labor, and physical/emotional support. To know that less than 24 hours after the attacks donors are lining up to give their own blood for those who shed theirs is amazing. I pray we continue to walk the path set before us as a people looking to help people. Be Compassionate, be loving, be giving. Our greatest skill is not how we impress others, but how we love them... in good and bad times. Restore love. Restore hope. Restore humanity. Restore America.

| Hurricane Irma | It's been a few weeks since we were hit by Hurricane Irma. This picture is from my in-laws driveway/ front yard/ road. We remained safe inside their home. I'm grateful that they prepared extensively and made the home safe for all family that stayed there, especially my children. Our home was without power for a week, and my in-laws were without power for 2 weeks. It was not easy. The luxury of electricity, running clean water, internet, and cell service was taken away for several days. In that time, yes, I whined about the situation but when I got over myself I took advantage to plug into Jesus, and into my husband, and children. I took that time to be present in the moment. Something that I've been trying hard to do more consistently. We were lucky to retreat to a friends home with electricity for a few days to get us through. Which brings me to Maria... • • Today, my heart breaks for Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 and all the islands impacted by the most recent Hurricane, Maria. My husband's grandfather and family are in PR with scarce resources. I pray God's hand of protection and provision touch all those in need. I especially pray that leaders take a stand to provide the essentials they need. No matter how tough we had it in Florida, we were not stranded alone on an island, with limited resources, or gas to deliver the resources. • • Please thank God tonight for your luxuries, and keep all those in need in prayer. I'm wide awake and watching my family sleep as we await the onset on Hurricane Irma. My heart breaks for those islands devastated by Irma, and the path they must walk to restoration. One thing I learned in 2016, is that God is a God of restoration. He designed us to feel whole and restored in Him, should we chose to accept it. He will restore those homes and families, he will make everything beautiful in its time. Now, I continue to be grateful for the gift of life, and shelter and I stand on his word, that though a thousand may fall at your side, none will touch you. | 🎶 Touch the Sky 🎶| "My heart beating, my soul breathing, I found my life when I laid it down. Upward falling, spirit soaring, I touch the sky when my knees hit the ground…" • • • Tomorrow we head over to our family's home to seek shelter from Hurricane Irma. 🌪Growing up in SW Florida, Hurricanes are so natural, that it's just a stronger "rain shower" for us, but Irma is stronger than I've experienced. Today as I packed up our clothes and special items I turned off the news and turned on my worship music. It gave me such calm. 🌸So many friends have reached out to offer their homes and to check in on us! I'm so grateful! 🙏🏽In the midst of the storm, God is working and He's showing me how loved my little family is. Lee County, we've got this!!! Ps- this photo was from my flight last week to NY! The last few nights I've not slept much, frightened for what Hurricane Irma has in store. 😱🙁😳One night I began to recite 2 Timothy 1:7- "God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline." 🙏🏽Tonight, laying in bed restless again, my Mama sent me this post from my beloved church up in Tampa... "He will keep me safe in His dwelling." ❣️ This was a great confirmation for me, that He will protect us. Although I don't know the Hurricane Irma outcome for us in Florida, I do know that God is in control and He has written this chapter. I will focus on Christ and not the storm, ⛈ and I will glorify him every step of the way. 🌟✨💫To my fellow Floridians, join me in prayer that this storm stops in its tracks, for the Wind & Rains still know HIS MIGHTY NAME!!!! This morning I encourage every heart to send a prayer up for Texas. Not just Houston, but the entire state as they pull together resources to help those in need. May we always remember that loss and strife can happen to anyone of us; and if that day comes, we will have to depend on the graciousness of others. Be gracious to those around you in need. 👫🙏🏽Know that in the deepest of seas and roughest waters, His hand is in the midst. I am sending a little extra love to my family and friends all over the great state!

My aunt & uncle live in the countryside, and I can be found there often. Last week I jogged around the neighborhood and farm. I took in the scenery, breeze, and scent (some was animal poo 🐽🐷🐮🐴🐥), but every time I'm there I'm reminded that God made this. He designed the trees, the land, the animals. And lucky for me, he gave me long stretches of road to run to my heart's content.❣️It is in the trees, and the long stretches of road that I feel alone in his arms; covered, cherished, and loved. 💓 Good Night, world!
