STATIC WALL HOLDS @yogamarrakech LENGTH INTO STRENGTH DAY 34 Climbing the wall and aligning your legs parallel, can be a great way to not only strengthen the upper body and wrists, but also quadriceps and abdominal engagement. The wall allows you to focus on holding rather than worrying about balance.😊 (at Marrakesh, Morocco)

STATIC WALL HOLDS @yogamarrakech LENGTH INTO STRENGTH DAY 31 A fantastic way to prepare and strengthen your upper body and arms for any inversion you wish to master, especially if you do it with one arm. Feel how each shoulderblade has to work to support you. (at Marrakesh, Morocco)

FUNKY HYBRID LIFT @yogamarrakech LENGTH INTO STRENGTH DAY 24 I am not sure if there is a sanskrit name for this, I think the closer I can say is that it is a Funky Eka Pada Bakasana before the leg is lifting. It was so enjoyable to do this pose and take the photo, but honestly I really don'to know what I was thinking🤔🤔 alas a hybrid funky is born.😊 (at Marrakesh, Morocco)

EKA PADA GALAVASANA @yogamarrakech LENGTH INTO STRENGTH DAY 23 By extending the leg higher , I find increases the pressure and need for the support on the upper arm. Hooking the foot around the arm is also a wonderful stretch for the hip rotator.😊 (at Marrakesh, Morocco)

GALAVASANA @yogamarrakech LENGTH INTO STRENGTH DAY 22 Galasana or Eka Pada Galavasana with the leg straight. I find for myself a little support on the arms takes away some discomfort so I can focus on the hip strength and leg lift. This is done with a straight leg, but can also be done with the leg extended higher which I will post. (at Marrakesh, Morocco)

UTTANA PRASITHASANA @yogamarrakech LENGTH INTO STRENGTH DAY 20 The Flying Lizard Pose is such a wonderful pose for the upper body and core strength. As much as all these pose's can be called Arm Balances, I find focusing on the strength of the core and different areas of the upper body very important. Such fun and different angle from some of the other arm balances which is what makes flying lizard so exciting. (at Marrakesh, Morocco)

GARUDASANA IN FUNKY BAKASANA @yogamarrakech LENGTH INTO STRENGTH DAY 18 Fun to play with the funky hybtid varietations and I must say this is a fantastic pose for stretching the hip rotator. Sometimes when I see these funky hybrid varietations appearing on Instagram, I do wonder how to get into the pose and this is part of the fun, the deconstructing of the pose to be able to get into it., haha.😁 For this pose I found my eagle legs then plopped onto my arms that thankfully supported me.😊 (at Marrakesh, Morocco)

BEERASANA @yogamarrakech LENGTH INTO STRENGTH DAY 17 Such a fantastic pose for combining our arm strength with the flexibilty of the hips. The feeling and knowing that our foot has to support the lifting of the other leg is quite exhilerating. (at Marrakesh, Morocco)

DEVADUUTA PANNA ASANA FALLEN ANGEL @yogamarrakech LENGTH INTO STRENGTH DAY 16 An interesting pose to work with core strength. To get the legs vertical you need to twist and engage through the lateral obliques. Namaste💕 Fallen Angel....with your cheek on the floor you definitly feel fallen. (at Madrid, Spain)

ASTAVAKRASANA @yogamarrakech LENGTH INTO STRENGTH DAY 9 Crooked in 8 places, a fabulous name for a fabulous pose. Again many ways to move into it and I will post a video on how I teach the various ways. I find it's so much more accessible when you instruct this way and so many of my students understand it more and can apply. But really all the poses are like this, breaking them down so we can understand the biodynamics of it all. Please share any questions or comments you may have. Namaste.💕 (at Marrakesh, Morocco)

PARSVA BAKASANA.... DAY 8...LENGTH INTO STRENGTH SERIES @yogamarrakech I teach Parsva Bakasana in stages with the first leaning over like on the edge of a cliff. Then engaging lateral obliques and uddiyana bandha inhale and lift off. If lifting is a challenge there are many preparation exercise first that one can do as a very good way to feel the core working. #yogamarrakech #parsvabakasana #sidecrow#strengthyoga #liftingyoga #armbalancing #yogafitness #armworkout

MAYURASANA @yogamarrakech LENGTH INTO STRENGTH DAY 6 Mayurasana with legs together seems much harder than legs apart or when in full lotus. Great healing benefit for the intestinal layer as the elbows press into your abdominal area.. Perhaps uncomfortable at first this pressure on the stomach, but it is truely remarkable the theraputic qualities it has for detoxing and cleansing. You will get use to the pressure sensation to the stomach its, light, steady, comfortable. Have a great day💕 (at Marrakesh, Morocco)
