All 7 bases of the Macedonian pike commission based for L'art de la guerre all but done, just some touch ups and some varnish. Not my best basing job by any stretch but getting inbetween all that close order is not easy, had to end up using matt medium rather than glue to put it down. This is done to a tabletop standard. My new washes made cheap, each of those bottles have about twice what comes in the GW washes and what's in each bottle probably cost less than £1. The G is for gloss. Idea came from @lukes_aps youtube channel. https://youtu.be/6vFcRT2wOh8 Also a tree made from Woodland scenics tree armatures, a mix of the Lukes Aps range tree flocks and other foam flocks and sea foam. What I've been working on tonight, was done using rock faces and homemade modelling compound, the pulped and dried out toilet rolls, and a mix of reclaimed and leftover @lukes_aps plaster and some plaster of paris I found in my drawers. Still got a bit of the paper leftover but none of the plaster. The cave entrance has been sitting on a shelf unfinished for weeks and been driving me bonkers. I think at the moment everything that needs modelling compound is finished. What I've done today.

The hills on the board were made using polystyrene foam and modelling compound from the @lukes_aps range.

Outcrops made using expanding foam, rock facings made using a homemade tinfoil rock mould, @woodlandscenics rock moulds and lukes aps plaster and more modelling compound.

Hills made using xps foam and modelling compound.

The covering is a mix of Dorspring models static grass, flock from the Lukes aps range, and a bunch of other flock I had lying about the house.
