Yooran Week 2020
For @yooranweek2020
Short and not-so-sweet. Why do I do this? Ending the week with angst instead of fluff.
*SPOILERS*
Day 7: Free Day
Unbelievable! Yoosung clenched his jaw and punched the wall. What was wrong with him? He had a job to do and he knew he was procrastinating. Damn it! He took a deep breath, closed his eyes and tried to release his tension. The image of Saeran’s face surfaced behind his eyes. The soft amber eyes, the fringe of red hair he always ran his hands through, the smile that lit up the whole room. He tried to erase the image but it was no use, he’d fallen for his target. It was the one unspoken rule of an assassin: Never get emotionally involved.
The Prime Minister would not be happy. Shit, he had to get a hold of himself, this was his reputation on the line. He’d worked hard getting where he was. The fact that he had such a childlike and innocent face had been a great asset. People never suspected cute, sweet, innocent Yoosung of being capable of murder. His first kill had been at age 12. He thought he would be riddled with guilt, but he wasn’t, it was satisfying. Of course, the man in question had had it coming, death was better than life in prison for that disgusting pedophile. And that’s how it had started for Yoosung. Death followed wherever he went, but every single one had deserved death.
That had changed when he began getting paid. He rarely if ever questioned who his targets where, he didn’t care, preferring to believe the lies told by his clients. But now, the twins were his targets. Saeyoung was highly suspicious and difficult to get to, but Saeran, was the weaker twin and Yoosung had decided that would be the easiest way to gain their trust. And he had been right.
Saeran was shy with genius level intelligence. But he was easily manipulated emotionally. Yoosung had learned the boy was gay and used that against him, flirting awkwardly and letting Saeran take the bait and make the first move. It had been excruciatingly slow and in that time, Yoosung had gotten to know the man intimately. Saeran was in love with him, of that he was sure. But was Yoosung in love with Saeran?
“Fuck!” Yoosung slammed his head against the wall he was leaning against. He’d done more digging when he realized he was falling for Saeran, wondering if it was possible for him to drop the assignment, no matter the hit to his reputation. What he found was that even if he did back out, the Prime Minister would only send someone else. They were a secret he could no longer afford to allow. Their deaths were a necessity for the man whose campaign was all about family values. The hypocrite!
His phone rang and without looking he knew it was Saeran. He automatically reached for it before letting his hand fall to his side. Blood dripped on the tile, several cuts crisscrossing his knuckles. After a few rings, the phone went silent. Yoosung fished it out of his pocket and waited for the ding that would tell him Saeran had left a message. He listened.
“Hey, it’s me. I was calling cause, well, uh…if you’re not doing anything this weekend, would you like to meet my brother? He said he’d BBQ, fair warning though, he’s not that great a cook, haha, not like you anyway. Soooo…let me know OK? No pressure. OK, bye.” He sounded a little timid. Yoosung’s heart began to race. This was it. He would be in the same space as the twins. It was his chance, what was his choice though?

Yooran Week 2020
For @yooranweek2020
I have to admit, this one had me stumped and took me a while, but, thanks to @booyakasha516 and her suggestion of a Werewolf Holiday, it was off to the races! FYI, there is nakedness in this fic but no funny business, and no describing the nakedness, very PG!
Day 6: Holidays/Cultural Festivals
Mullin Salang (Love Bite) is a werewolf holiday of reaffirmation. It is a day that only comes every five years. Werewolves mate for life, yet, there are times when this may be mitigated by outside circumstances. The death of a mate, the injury or health issue of a mate, the state of mind (certain mental disorders such as Alzheimer’s etc.). Mullin Salang is a time in which mates either reaffirm their connection or sever it. It is usually celebrated privately, although some packs celebrate together. This will be Saeran’s and Yoosung’s first Mullin Salang Day.
“Come on MC, what should I expect? It can’t be any more surprising than the beginning of mating season!” Yoosung prodded. MC laughed and patted him on the cheek.
“Stop worrying about it! Are you afraid Saeran is going to want to sever your bond?”
“No, of course not. It’s just, well, I’m not a werewolf so…”
“Saeran will tell you what to expect I’m sure.”
“He won’t! I’ve already asked. The little I know has to do with both turning into werewolves, how does that impact us?”
“You’re guess is as good as mine, don’t forget, this will be Saeyoung’s and my first Mullin Salang Day as well.”
“You’re right! 2020, we all got married within the last five years. But, has Saeyoung told you anything else?”
“A little, but mostly he said it would be better if I just followed his direction. It isn’t like the bonding that happens during mating season, there isn’t any magic. He said it was much like Valentine’s Day for humans, just a tradition kind of thing. Though he said the older a mated couple gets, the more the day is infused with reverence. I guess I understand.”
“So you don’t know much more than I do.” Yoosung wilted.
“Why are you so worried?” MC’s brows furrowed above her honey colored eyes.
“I don’t know. I guess…I kind of feel inferior, like, I can’t contribute the same as Saeran, after all, I’m not a werewolf.” Yoosung shrugged.
“But you are Saeran’s Beta. And that’s the only thing that matters.”
“Hey! There you are, you ready?” Saeran popped into MC’s bedroom nodding towards Yoosung.
“Yeah, I guess. You sure I don’t need anything special?”
“Positive.” Saeran grinned and held out his hand towards Yoosung. With a final look to MC, who gave him an encouraging nod, Yoosung stood and took the offered hand. He could feel Saeran’s excitement, his blood pulsed through his veins so forcefully he could feel it throbbing through his skin.
“I, uh, hope you’re not disappointed.”
“Disappointed? Why would I be disappointed?” Saeran laughed. “You’re taking this too seriously, it’s just a silly holiday.”
“If that’s all it was, then you wouldn’t be so excited. Don’t bother trying to deny it, I may not have your superior senses, but I do know you.” Yoosung stopped, in so doing, he effectively kept Saeran from proceeding as well.
“Yoosung.” Saeran sighed and hugged his husband, then pulled away after a few seconds, looking into the gorgeously brilliant lavender eyes. “I’m excited because I get to reaffirm my love for you, my affection, my bond, my desire. I’m excited because I get to show you how much you mean to me and continue to mean to me. If I could, I would ask you to marry me all over again. When you walk into a room, I still get goosebumps and my heart races. When you hold my hand, I still sweat and blood pounds in my ears. When you focus your attention on me and only me, I still get tongue tied and my brain buzzes telling me I don’t deserve you yet here you are. Loving me. Today I reaffirm that I still choose you, over everyone else in the entire world, none can ever take your place by my side. And I hope you feel the same.” His eyes slid away from Yoosung and to the side, worry lines forming on his forehead. Yoosung reached up and smoothed them away.
“Always.” He gave Saeran a soft smile then planted a chaste kiss on his lips. “Let’s go.” Saeran relaxed and led Yoosung outside the house and towards the singular path in the woods.
“Are we going to the lake?” Yoosung asked. It was a favorite spot of theirs.
“No. Not this time, besides, Saeyoung said he wanted to take MC there.”
“Oh, where then?”
“It’s a surprise! But it’s going to take a while to get there, at least the full moon will be high in the sky by the time we arrive.”
“What?” Yoosung was a little unhappy, it sounded as if he would have to walk for a long time.
“Don’t worry, I’ve got you!” Saeran winked at him. As soon as they made it past the first few lines of trees into the woods Saeran began to undress. He took the backpack he was wearing and set it on the ground, folding his clothes and stuffing them into the bag. He handed the backpack to Yoosung and had him put it on. Once that was done, Saeran began to transform, his nose and mouth elongated, his jaw expanded, the teeth sharpening and coming in like daggers. He fell to his hands and knees, paws springing forth and fur sprouting from his pours. Once he was fully transformed, he shook his golden reddish fur, his mint colored eyes luminescent. He motioned Yoosung towards his back.
No matter how many times Yoosung witnessed this miracle, it still left him stunned. Saeran pushed at his abdomen with his snout and huffed.
“Right, sorry.” Yoosung sighed and did as he was expected, climbing onto Saeran’s back. He held on to his fur but tried not to pull too hard. As soon as he was secured, Saeran took off. Yoosung lay close to his back and tried to keep his eyes open. The trees were flashing around him, the wind buffeting him but even though Saeran was dodging and jumping and sliding under all these obstacles, he somehow managed to keep Yoosung perfectly balanced.
Yoousng laughed with exuberance. It took them almost two hours to reach the base of a mesa. Saeran slowed down and Yoosung was able to sit up. Saeran stopped at the entrance to a cave. Yoosung slid off, his eyes large and round, he’d never been this far out from the house before.
Saeran returned to his human form and took the backpack from Yoosung, redressing himself. Once he was finished, he took Yoosung’s hand and they made their way inside.
There were torches set into the cave walls and Saeran quickly had them lit with a lighter.
“Wow.” Yoosung stepped into an opening that stretched out to either side. In the center there was a pool, overhead an opening big enough for the moon to filter through, its mirror image shining in the water.
“I thought you’d like it. It’s not as comfortable as the grass at the lake, but it has its own beauty.”
“It sure does!” Yoosung’s voice was full of awe, but Saeran only had eyes for him. Yoosung was distracted as Saeran took his clothes off again and transformed. He nipped at Yoosung’s backside which made the blond yelp and jump.
“Stop that!” he swatted at Saeran but he also laughed. Saeran bit his shirt and pulled. “OK OK, I got it!” Yoosung began to undress, folding his clothes and setting them atop Saeran’s. Saeran had sat next to the pool and stared at the moon. Yoosung sat in front of him and did the same. Without warning Saeran began to howl, the sound reverberated around the cavern and in the distance another howl could be heard. Saeyoung. Yoosung watched his husband, the hair on his body standing on end. The power in that howl was humbling. He felt ridiculous but the desire to throw back his head and howl was overwhelming, so he did. His blond hair shook away from his face, he closed his eyes and felt the sound originate in his belly and travel outwards until it was released through his mouth.
They howled for several minutes, Yoosung’s voice never even coming close to the breadth and depth of Saeran’s but the intensity was accurately matched. Once they had exhausted themselves, Saeran cocked his enormous head. Yoosung was flushed with exhilaration. He knew what was expected of him and complied, leaning his head to the left and exposing the soft tissue of his neck. Saeran opened his mouth and bit. His sharp teeth pierced the offered skin and Yoosung gasped but did not flinch. It was superficial. Once done, Searan backed away and licked the wound carefully, he then sat back and reverted to his human form and offered Yoosung his neck. Yoosung gulped but understood what he was to do. He pushed up to his knees and sank his teeth into Searan’s flesh until he tasted blood. Saeran’s intake of breath was sharp, lacking pointed and sharpened teeth, Yoosung’s normal flat teeth were more painful on Saeran. Yoosung flinched but reminded himself that Saeran would quickly heal. He pulled away and also licked Searan’s wound. While it had made him feel bad to hurt Saeran in that way, the mark also made him proud.
“Will you remain my Beta for the next five years Yoosung?” That was the only thing left to say, everything else had already been said.
“Yes. Will you remain my Alpha for the next five years?” Yoosung answered and asked.
“Yes.” Saeran whispered. “I reaffirm my devotion to you, and vow once more to be your protector and champion.”
“I reaffirm my devotion to you, and vow once more to be your protector and champion…and lover…and confidant…and friend…and occasional nag…and…” Yoosung went off script.
“OK OK OK!” Saeran laughed and kissed his mate. “I love you dummy.”
“I love you too, idiot!”

Yooran Week 2020
For @yooranweek2020
This was OK I guess…I could write so much more! LOL No editing so sorry for any typos etc.
Day 5: Highschool/50’s
The door opened and Saeran stopped himself from fidgeting with his pink bow tie. He felt like an idiot, but well, Yoosung was worth it. The was a dark blue, his shirt a crisp white. The pink bow tie had been Saeyoung’s idea and when he’d told Yoosung, he had been ecstatic, vowing to match.
Mrs. Kim’s amethyst eyes sparkled as she took him in from head to toe. “Oh Saeran, you look so handsome!” she stepped forward and embraced him. Saeran stiffened before relaxing. The affection she showed him was still something he was getting used to. He smiled and gave her a small hug back. It was most he was capable of. If he was honest, he probably loved Yoosung’s mom as much as he loved Yoosung. In different ways of course. He wished fervently that his mother had been as loving and caring. Thinking of her brought a scowl to his face which he quickly hid as they parted.
“Come in come in!” she pulled him inside and closed the door behind them. “Is that for Yoosung?” she asked, pointing to the pink carnation Saeran held in his left hand. He nodded and looked up the stairs but there was no sign of Yoosung. “How lovely.” She giggled like a schoolgirl.
“Saeran.” Came a voice from the family room. Mr. Kim sat on his usual easy chair, the newspaper open in front of him. They made eye contact, acknowledging each other with a brief nod.
“Mr. Kim.” Saeran stated and the man went back to his reading. That was pretty much the extent of their relationship.
“Oh, there he is, my gorgeous son!” Mrs. Kim’s hands went to her mouth again and the tears that were simply threatening before, freely fell. Saeran ran his eyes up the stairs until they landed on Yoosung. He wore a black suit with a pale pink button up shirt and a matching bow tie to his own. His blond hair was tamed, without its usual fluff. He smiled big and blushed.
“Come on mom!” Yoosung shook his head, but he looked pleased, his eye’s gleamed as he set them on Saeran.
“You look amazing!” Yoosung said as he stepped up to Saeran.
“Don’t move! I need to get my camera.” Mrs. Kim took off into the kitchen.
“Ah, heh, sorry about that.” Yoosung apologized.
“It’s fine, I don’t mind.” Saeran answered. In fact, he rather enjoyed the normalcy of a loving mother. It made him happy that Yoosung had that.
“Uh, so, where’s the collar? And the eyeliner?” Yoosung frowned.
“I thought this would be better, you know, more normal high school prom attire.” He grinned.
“I guess, but, I miss the collar.”
“Well, I did bring these, just in case.” He pulled his studded collar and eyeliner from his inner pocket. He’d figured if he couldn’t wear them, he could at least have them near.
Yoosung’s eyes lit up and he grabbed the collar and quickly slid it around Saeran’s neck.
“What’s this now?” Mrs. Kim came back with camera in hand.
“Oh, wait, not yet, come on Saeran.” Yoosung took Saeran’s wrist and led him towards the downstairs bathroom. He’d become pretty skilled at applying Saeran’s eyeliner in the months they had been dating. Saeran handed over the pencil and sat on the toilet letting Yoosung do his thing. He loved looking up at the blond when he did this for him. Watching the intensity and focus in his gem colored eyes, the tip of his pink tongue peeking through his pursed lips. It always brought a smile to his face and an ache to his heart. A good one.
“There. Now, just one more thing.” Yoosung set the pencil on the sink and ran his fingers through Saeran’s carefully manicured hair.
“Hey! Saeyoung and I spent an hour trying to tame this hair!” Saeran complained.
“Well, time not well spent. Much better.” Yoosung grinned as Saeran stood to look at himself in the mirror. The eyeliner was spot on perfect and his hair, well, it stuck out everywhere again instead of laying flat and swept back. “There’s the man I love.” Yoosung giggled.
“Ok ok. We should probably get back out there.” He ran his hand through his hair and smiled at his boyfriend. This might be a fun night after all.
After pinning the carnation on Yoosung’s suit jacket and Yoosung doing the same for him, they took what felt like a million photos. Mr. Kim even got up from his seat and took a photo of all three of them, Mrs. Kim in the middle. She held onto both of them fiercely, making Saeran feel like her son as well. The thought made him blush because of the assumption, he hoped it hadn’t been captured in film.
“I think it’s time to go mom.” Yoosung pulled away from his mother and grabbed Saeran’s hand. They waved as they stepped out of the house, his mother’s eyes still full of tears. “Sheesh, I thought we’d never get out of there.”
Saeran laughed as they made their way to the car. Saeyoung had let him borrow his new toy. He had recently begun to spend some of the money he had been making, as they were now trying to have a stable life. Saeran, though he was only 17 was already on his way to earning his third degree from Sky University. That had been where he had met Yoosung. Yoosung had been on a field trip with his high school and the Saeran had been the tour guide for him group. It had been difficult to think with Yoosung looking at him with those big purple eyes, they just mesmerized him from the beginning. It had taken a few weeks, but Saeran had finally called and asked him out. It was one of the happiest days of his life because Yoosung had said yes.
Now, here they were, about to go to prom, something he himself had missed out on but was more than happy to participate in. Yoosung looked incredible, and so happy. He was intent on making this a night to remember.

Day 4: Hanahaki/Hospitalized
Saeran screamed and woke with fright. His sweat clung to him, plastering his longish red hair to his forehead. His mint colored eyes were wide and paranoid. He looked around the dark room and felt beside him on the bed. Yoosung, where was Yoosung? Then he remembered and began to shake, tears springing to his eyes. His hands covered his face as he sobbed uncontrollably.
This bed was too small for two people and the last time he had slept next to Yoosung was at least two months previously. Why was this still happening? He pulled on his hair and screamed. He began to scratch at the wall next to the bed and slammed his fists into it over and over until they were covered in blood. The door to his room was yanked open and two orderlies came in. One held him down while the other plunged a syringe into his arm. His vision dimmed and he sank into oblivion.
Hours later his eyes fluttered open and looked around the room. His body felt heavy and lethargic. The same lethargy buzzed around his brain. Blinking he tried to clear his head and sit up. There was a groan in the room, and it took a few seconds for Saeran to realize it had come out of him. A lingering memory of the nightmare that had woken him before stirred behind his eyes, but he pushed it away.
“Good morning.” Saeran jerked his head towards the door and breathed a sigh of relief when he saw Yoosung standing there. “Ok for me to come in?” he asked hesitantly. Saeran hated seeing him like that, but he couldn’t blame him, the incident that had landed him in this place had terrified Yoosung.
“Of course.” Saeran smiled. Yoosung relaxed and stepped into the room, closing the door behind him softly. He walked towards the bed and Saeran pulled his legs into a criss-cross so he would have room to sit. Yoosung took the offer and sat.
“They said you had a difficult night. They wouldn’t let me come in when I got here. I’m glad you’re awake now. How are you feeling?”
Saeran reached out to Yoosung and was grateful to see the man didn’t flinch at all when he took his hand, in fact, Yoosung’s amethyst eyes softened and a smile bloomed on his face.
“Groggy mostly.”
“The sedative they used is powerful, they said it would take several hours for it to leave your system. Because of that, you’re not supposed to eat until closer to lunch time.”
“That’s fine, I’m not hungry anyway. I’m glad you’re here.”
“I’ll always be here.” Yoosung said.
“Yoosung, I…I’m…sorry…I…” Saeran looked down and away in shame. He’d never felt so much shame.
“Look at me.” Yoosung tilted Saeran’s head upwards with his index finger. “We’ll get through this; you don’t need to keep apologizing.” Saeran shook his head and buried his face in his hands. Yes, yes he did need to keep apologizing, what he’d done to Yoosung was unforgiveable. He hated to think about that night, the look in Yoosung’s eyes. The fear. Saeran had lost his mind, his depression kicking him in the gut and his paranoia turned up to full steam. He’d screamed at Yoosung that he didn’t really love him, that he was just using him for his money. He’d shoved him against the dresser all the while spitting out vitriol and bullshit. Yoosung had began to cry when his feeble attempts to reassure Saeran had fallen on deaf ears. He had just stood there and taken the verbal assault like a cornered mouse knowing he was about to get eaten by a cat.
Saeran’s sobs shook him down to his very soul. How could he ever make it up to the man. This beautiful man that he loved with all his heart? How could he ever look Yoosung in the eye again? What would he see? Fear? Disgust? Love? No, he couldn’t hope for that anymore.
Yoosung reached out and engulfed Saeran against him.
“Don’t be ridiculous. We’ll get through this, and we’ll get through the next one and the next one. I know who you are. I know who you’re trying to be. And I know you will stumble along the way. This is a stumble, a big one yes, but nothing we can’t come back from. I love you Saeran Choi and no matter what you do you will never be able to get away from me! I can’t believe you thought a short stint in an institution would rid you of me!” he tsked and chuckled, pulling away from the weeping mess of a man.
Searan’s heart swelled with pride. This man. Yoosung. He was stronger than Saeran could ever be, and those eyes, yes, those eyes were full of love and affection, pride and determination. His chest constricted and laughter bubbled out. He slapped his hands over his mouth, mint eyes widening at the inappropriateness of the action. But Yoosung’s eyes crinkled and laughter poured out of him too. This was love. Pure and unconditional. And it belonged to Saeran. He didn’t deserve it, but by God he was going to fight to keep it!

Yooran Week 2020
For @yooranweek2020
Not exactly fluff, but still….
Day 3: Kids/Pets
The hair on the back of his neck stood on end and he sniffed the air. It couldn’t be! Saeran turned in a circle, eyeing the children that surrounded him. The orphanage was not very large, yet it seemed that it was at capacity. The fact that so many children were in need of a home was disheartening. He caught the whiff again and homed in on the smell. It was easy to find the origin.
A small boy sat against the sandbox holding a yellow bouncy ball. His dark brown hair was cut short but jaggedly, as if someone who didn’t know how to cut hair had done it. The sun picked up some red hues in that hair. When the boy looked up Saeran was astounded by how big and dark his eyes were, a deep rich brown that surely looked black to anyone without a werewolf’s enhanced senses.
“Hi.” Saeran tried to smile as he took in long slow breathes through his nose. Yes, he hadn’t been wrong, the smell was definitely there.
The boy clutched the ball to himself and pulled up his knees, but his eyes never left Saeran.
“My name is Saeran, what’s yours?”
“Uh, K…K…Kino.” The boy’s voice was barely audible, even to Saeran’s keen ears.
“Nice to meet you Kino, how old are you?”
“F…five…I think.” His voice held more confidence and he visibly relaxed.
“Saeran! There you are.” Yoosung was walking up to him, the children playing in the courtyard all turned towards the blond, many with hope in their eyes. It was heartbreaking. A woman that appeared to be at least 70 years old with her white hair in a bun and librarian glasses on her nose walked behind him. The smell that came off her made Saeran’s nose wrinkle. If evil had a smell, that would be it. No, she wasn’t a mass murderer, but she wasn’t what she appeared to be either.
“This is Mrs. Kan, she’s the director. She says she has some children that meet our criteria.” Yoosung stopped and stared at the boy Saeran had been talking to. “Oh, hello.” Kino looked away and hunched over his ball again. Saeran sensed it was because of the woman and not his husband.
“Criteria?” Saeran questioned.
“Well, kind of I guess. She just asked me a lot of questions about what we were looking for in a child.” Yoosung shrugged and appeared a bit embarrassed.
“I wasn’t aware we were looking for something specific.” Saeran glared at the woman.
“No, of course not…ah…” Yoosung stumbled over his words. Saeran reached around his back and rested his hand on Yoosung’s hip, holding him close.
“I’m sure we can find you a suitable child. There are many varieties you can choose from, some, better than others.” Her tone was waspish as she looked down her sharp nose at Kino.
“We’d like to make that determination ourselves.” Saeran countered.
“As you wish. But there are those children that have a tendency to attract trouble.” Again she pointedly stared at the boy at Saeran’s feet. Leaving it at that, she turned and walked briskly away towards a small group of girls fighting over a doll.
“Varieties?” Saeran spat.
“I know, she’s…uh…I wasn’t…I mean.” Yoosung flushed.
“Hey, I know exactly what happened. She started asking you questions, reasonable ones in the beginning, until she had you saying which hair color, eye color, whatever, you preferred before you realized she sounded like she was compiling a shopping list you never intended.”
“Something like that, yes, wow…you should have been the one to talk to her.”
“No, I might have gone for her jugular! She has no business running an orphanage.” Saeran took Yoosung several feet away from the boy so he would not hear them.
“What is it?” Yoosung looked over Saeran’s shoulder at the boy and furrowed his brows.
“I’m almost 100% sure Kino is a werewolf.”
“Kino? Is that the boy’s name? Is that possible?”
“I don’t know. It shouldn’t be. He says he’s 5, pretty small for a human child of that age, let alone a werewolf.”
“So he was probably a runt?”
“Exactly.”
“I don’t understand though, why would they give him to an orphanage? If the boy doesn’t know what he is and puberty hits, there are going to be a lot of surprised, and possibly dead, people.”
“Yes, which makes no sense, if he was a runt, they would have just killed him. They would never have entrusted him to humans. It makes no sense, but my nose doesn’t lie.” Saeran turned and walked towards Mrs. Kan.
“Excuse me, but, can you tell me about Kino? What happened to his parents?” Saeran asked.
The woman’s eyebrows shot up and her jaw clenched as she once again glared at the boy, but she answered.
“We don’t know. The boy was found in the woods when he was about 2 by some hikers. They said they heard faint crying and found the boy, naked and barely alive. There were no traces of any other humans around him. Had they not come across him when they did, he would surely have died out there. The police were called in and they decided not to publicize the incident. They assumed if there were distraught parents, they would contact the authorities, and if the parents were the ones who left the child out there to die, well, the last thing they wanted was for them to realize they had not succeeded. They took DNA from the child just in case, but even the hunting dogs they took out there found not a single trace to follow.”
“I see, thank you.” Saeran pulled Yoosung away from the woman, the wheels in his head turning. “It makes sense. They left him out there to die, and the police were right, if they knew he had survived, they would have hunted him down and killed him. But…he…what he will become…”
“Are you sure he’ll turn?” Yoosung asked.
“It’s inevitable. He needs a pack if he’s going to survive.” Saeran cast his eyes down and bit his lower lip.
“It’s a good thing we have one then.” Yoosung tipped Saeran’s head up with his index finger and smiled.
“Are you sure? I know you wanted a younger child, and…I don’t want you to feel obligated…and…” Saeran babbled.
“Shut up! We said we would make the decision together and that’s what we’re doing. Out of all the children here that need good homes and a safe place, this one is the only one that only we can provide that for that nobody else can. Why would I turn away from that?” he reached around Saeran’s neck and gave him a quick kiss.
“I love you so much.” Saeran squeezed him close and Yoosung had to hit him on the shoulder to get him to let go because he couldn’t breathe. “Why don’t we talk to him and let him get to know us better, then we can talk to Mrs. Kan about a home visit.”
“Sounds good.”
“His eyes are gorgeous!” Yoosung exclaimed.
“He’s a good kid.”
“How do you know that?” Yoosung asked.
“I just do, but he’s afraid, we’ll have to be gentle. And I know you can do that better than anyone else, after all, you tamed me didn’t you?” Saeran grinned and slapped Yoosung on the butt. Yoosung squeaked but smiled knowingly.

Yooran Week 2020
For @yooranweek2020
Day 2: Wedding/Engagement
They held hands walking down the beach. The day was just about to end so it was emptying out. Saeran scanned the sky while Yoosung watched the group of people that were left on the beach.
“Aw…” Yoosung let go of Saeran’s hand as he tried to get his blond hair out of his eyes. He clipped the locks into a small sort of submission, a large smile on his face.
Saeran stopped and inspected Yoosung’s face. His amethyst eyes were large and gleamed with unshed tears. Saeran’s eyebrows knit above his mint colored eyes in confusion.
“What?” he asked.
Yoosung pointed towards the group of people several yards down the beach. “That guy just proposed to her.” Saeran squinted and could see a man hugging a woman and twirling her around, the small crowd clapped and cheered. “Isn’t it romantic?” Yoosung’s smile turned wistful and he sighed.
“That guy is stupid.” Saeran scoffed.
“What? Why? I think it’s sweet.”
“He should have waited for sunset. When the colors of the sky blend, making it look like it’s on fire.” He knelt on the sand and dug out a buried shell. Looking back up he motioned with his chin, “Like that.”
Yoosung turned and his breath caught, the sky did indeed look like it was on fire, the rich full colors so brilliant and perfect he was sure humans could never replicate them. He turned back towards Saeran, still on his knee, and gasped.
His boyfriend held a gold band towards Yoosung, his mint green eyes reflecting the colors of the sunset, his red hair, grown almost to his shoulder, blew around his face in the small breeze.
“Yoosung, you know I’m not good with expressing my feelings. I hope my actions speak louder than words about how I feel about you. I wish I could promise you the world, that I would never hurt you, that we would always be happy, but I can’t. What I can promise you is that I will always try. I will fail, and stumble, but I will always get back up and try again. To make you happy. To support you. To love you. To respect you. These last two years have taught me so much. You’ve given me a life and a future I never thought possible. I want to walk into that future with you by my side. Together, forever. Will you marry me?” There were unshed tears in Saeran’s eyes, the moment so intense he felt he was going to pass out. He had practiced this speech, and he’d fucked it up, but the sentiment was still there, he’d just forgotten all the flowery, cheesy, romantic words he knew Yoosung would love.
Yoosung’s tears fell, his heart bursting with emotion. He couldn’t breathe, he couldn’t speak. He opened his mouth but nothing came out, so he just nodded, flapping his hands like an idiot and hopping back and forth on his tiptoes.
“Yes?” Saeran arched an eyebrow, he could feel the lopsided grin on his face. Yoosung nodded more fervently and waggled his fingers in front of Saeran’s face. Saeran chuckled and slid the gold ring onto Yoosung’s finger, after needing to hold his hand steady. He could feel Yoosung’s pulse racing and his body trembling. Standing, he pulled the blond against him. “I don’t think I’ve ever seen you so speechless before.” He murmured into Yoosung’s hair.
Yoosung mumbled against Saeran’s chest.
“What was that?” Saeran pulled away and stared into Yoosung’s eyes, eyes more beautiful than sunset itself.
“I’m so happy.” Yoosung huffed through tears of joy and he reached behind Saeran’s neck to pull him into a passionate kiss. The saltiness could have come from the ocean, or his tears, it didn’t matter. They were together…FOREVER.

Yooran Week 2020
It’s HERE! And I’ve made a silly silly fic!
Day 1: Band AU/Fantasy AU for @yooranweek2020
Sorta kinda fantasy! Playing FFXIV
“Everyone still here?” Yoosung spoke into his headset, the large headphones indenting into his soft yellow hair. Amethyst eyes scrolled across the screen, making sure everyone was still on Discord. This wasn’t as fun as he thought it would be.
“Here.” Came Saeran’s clear voice. There was a tinge of barely contained frustration. Yoosung clenched his jaws, he was going to have to make it up to his boyfriend for sure.
“HERE!” Zen’s voice was loud and there was no hiding his frustration at all.
“Ho…is…hea…” Jumin’s voice kept cutting out. Yoosung could see that he was going in and out of the Discord chat.
“Stop hitting the button JUMIN!” he growled into the mic.
“…me now?” the man was cool as ice water.
“Yes. Finally. I told you, you don’t need to keep going back into Discord, we’re connected and can hear just fine.”
“Alright then.” Yoosung shook his head at the calmness in Jumin’s voice. The man let nothing fluster him.
“I don’t understand. When do I become a Black Mage? You said this class was a Black Mage.”
“I told you, you have to get to level 30.” Yoosung was tired of being patient with the man, he would invariably ask the same question every few levels he gained.
“For fucks sake Jumin! How much longer do we have to do this?” Zen asked.
“Let’s just try to get through his first dungeon OK? Then we can disband.” Yoosung answered.
Sastasha. It should be easy, especially because Yoosung was on his level 80 White Mage, the healer, Saeran was on his level 80 Ninja, good dps (damage per second), and Zen was on his level 60 Paladin, the tank. Jumin didn’t really have to do anything. They would be level synced down to the level of the dungeon, 15, which meant most of their skills would be unusable. But they didn’t need much for this first dungeon anyway, it was easy.
“What do I do again?” Jumin asked.
“Just click on the mobs and blast away.” Zen retorted. “Make sure you stay behind me though! I lead!”
“Is that so? Why can’t I lead?”
Three voices chimed in with a resounding “NO!”
“Because you’re squishy and you’ll die.” Yoosung answered.
“What does it mean, that I’m squishy? And why am I squishy?”
“Because you’re a caster! You don’t get very protective armor and your hit points are lower than a tank’s.” Yoosung explained further.
“How is that fair? Why does Zen get to have good armor and not me?”
“Can we please just focus and get on with it? Just…stay close to Yoosung OK?” Saeran was definatly frustrated and more than a little annoyed.
Yoosung sent him a private message through Discord:
Yoosung: I’m so sorry Saeran. I thought it would be fun to have Jumin play. I’ll make it up to you, I promise, just, hang in there OK?
Saeran: It’s fine. He’s a little frustrating for sure, but at least there is some entertainment with Zen’s reactions. 🤣
Yoosung: Does that mean you’re not mad?
Saeran: Of course not, I’m just egging Zen on, LOL.
Yoosung: I don’t feel so bad then. I love you.
Saeran: Damn straight you do! 👨‍❤️‍💋‍👨
“Are we doing this or not? Yoosung?” Zen cut through and Yoosung could easily imagine how tight his jaw was right now.
“Yeah, OK, queuing up for Sastasha. Yoosung hit the button and the notification came right up.
“What do I do?” Jumin asked.
“Click on ‘Commence’.” Yoosung answered.
Once they had all ‘commenced’ the screen went black and “SASTASHA” flashed across the screen.
“Follow Zen!” Yoosung said once they were released from their restraints and Zen took off into the dungeon.
Later:
Saeran laughed and pulled Yoosung close to him.
“Oh my God! I thought I was going to pee my pants when Jumin ran into the second boss’s room and smacked him with his staff!”
“Zen was so pissed!” Yoosung joined Saeran’s laughter.
“And Jumin’s only comment after dying from one hit was just ‘hmm I thought that would work’.” Saeran continued.
“I know! I know! I thought Zen was going to log off and leave us there.”
“It was fun though. And I think Jumin liked it. Although, I think I might need to get drunk to play with him again. You’re a good person Yoosung.”
“What? What are you talking about, I just thought it would be funny to get Jumin to play.” Yoosung shrugged and snuggled into Saeran’s side. They were on his sofa, Saeran showing up about an hour after they had all logged off Final Fantasy XIV. Yoosung was glad to see him, he was exhausted but happy too.
“You know what I’m talking about. I know you didn’t forget what today is.” Indeed he hadn’t. The anniversary of V’s death. Yoosung knew Jumin would be alone, not wanting to talk about it. But Yoosung also knew what it was like to lose someone you loved and feel all alone in your sadness. Although Rika was still alive, he hadn’t known that at the time. There was still some sorrow for the person she had become, but at least she was alive. Jumin had no such doubts, they had buried his friend and he would never see him again.
Yoosung sighed and wrapped his arms around Saeran. He was thankful for what he had, for the relationship he had developed with the gorgeous, talented, skilled, genius of a man that he held on to. And he would always be thankful and never take him for granted.
“I love you.”
