Contemplations on the matter of death

Death is often viewed by the common mortal mind as something dark, wicked and malevolent, but they know nothing of death’s gentle whisper until the final moment when it graces them, takes them by the hand and whisks them away unto the unknown beyond.

Amongst Lapine-kind, that is the descendants of El-Ahrairah — rabbits, hares and the like to mortal, so too is this often the case. But those who are wise to the machinations of great Frith above know the tales of Inlé of the moon. Inlé is the black hand of Frith, his shadow, moon to his sun; where Frith grants life and watches over his children throughout their days, Inlé is his servant who guides those children beyond into the next existence and delivers ruin unto those who might fracture Frith’s order. Inlé is death, but as death’s manifestation, Inlé swallows life not out of malice nor cruelty but simply for annihilation is its nature and demise must come for all things. The natural order may not continue without its chaotic shadow.

Though Inlé may strike at many a different time, for many a different reason.. the constant throughout it all is that death comes for all, but, when it comes, it simply does as it must, silent and swift. What comes beyond is for other deities to decide… but if not? Simply pray the moon looks favourably upon you, and serenity eternal shall await.

Alas, these but the musings of mythology - the tales of realities long past. Reality now is much different.. and death has a new face.
