I figured out why this season just makes me feel so disappointed where no other season ever has: none of the side characters seem to really matter, like think about how past seasons the other characters all added to the story and had some kind of involvement and their own thing going on which influenced the main and the main had important and deep moments with various characters that were interconnected with each other, but this season all the important moments are either with sascha or Lou and neither of them are much connected with anyone except isi so it ends up feeling like these two are just plot devices for ismail while all the old characters barely add anything to the story besides being background actors, usually we have some extras filling the background but I guess due to budget cuts they had to revert back to the former main cast being background characters
