Transportation is relatively cheap here in Dubai. Luckily we live in the middle of the city so getting around isn't very pricey - to get to the North end or the South end on average costs around 35 Dirhams ($10 CAD) one-way. Though some of the drivers can be speedy at times, they are a jolly lot and taking a taxi around the city is safe and cheap. But my article is just a suggestion and a valuable tip: ONLY use the regular RTA tan coloured taxis. DO NOT use the "fancy" hotel ones such as a unmarked luxury cars. Though they claim they start at the regular 3 dirham rate their km rates are inflated. The same 35 dirham ride mentioned above actually costs 75 DIRHAMS! So avoid them like the plague - we've been jipped a few times. Have a safe trip everyone! (picture courtesy of dubai taxi)
Dubai's very own 120 million year old #dinosaur now on display at #DubaiMall - was awesome to see it - is it gonna be called the #Dubainosaurus or #Dubaisaurus :)
