one fairly common experience of gifted children is wishing for pain. wishing you had some great big horrible thing in your past so that you can justify the pain you’re in, and so that you’ll deserve help. it’s exhausting and it fucks you up and to anyone out there who feels like they haven’t suffered enough to get help: you’re allowed to want help. you’re in enough pain. you deserve to feel better

…I almost killed myself

I put on my sunglasses, to hide my swollen eyes, over my tears. I cried all my makeup off. Went inside to have a milkshake. I don’t know why. I wanted something to drink as I figured out what I would do. I got a soda and a milkshake. Medium. The cashier looked at me and with a line around the corner of the counter he rushed away from the counter “Hold on “ he yelled to a coworker.

I filled my soda and went back and saw him looking all over. I go up and he gets close and says “I made it a large”.

That was seriously enough for me not to do it. His kindness. Someone went out of their way and as I went back in my car to cry I realized I could muster through a few other days. A few more weeks. Then I came down from that panicky high of anxiety, depression, and pain. I finished my shake. And it was enough time to let me feel better. I… I’m alive. I’ll make it through.

Try and be nice today. Tomorrow. Something as much as a smile. It helped so much.

ok i’ve said this before but the way they’re letting loose all these little threads of conflict for different characters? call me crazy but what if season 6 is structured like the last week of the og skam. the pov is split and every character gets a week. eliott week, yann week, daphne week, alexia week, basille week, etc.

I don't think I've ever cried with a SCU clip, but wow, that last clip really got the job done. As someone who has been struggling a Lot with MI is really frustrating to have people invalidating your feelings and everything that Britt said just hit so close to Home when it comes to what people have assumed I feel because of My MI. But seriously, people with MI have a personality beyond that, we have things that we like and dislike, just like anybody else qnd what we feel is not caused by our MI, we're still humans and we are so much more than what's going on in our brains, I just wish more people would try to understand this.

Speaking of the spooky quiz video.... at one point after a small jumpscare (17:07 in the vid) you can see Dan turn to Phil and ask REALLY QUIETLY “are you okay?” Like it was clearly not meant for the camera, it was DIRECTLY for Phil. And it was clearly a “do you want to stop” kind of question. Ugh they’re always looking out for each other I love them
