"That’s right… but really, I can’t live much of a life now, can I? I’m not human like you used to be; I never was. Unlike Miles, he’s a duration of both, having an inner demon instead of being full fledged, like me. It’s hard, and I understand that…."

"Yep... It's pretty rough, being on my side. Sure, we got Edgeworth and daddy, but that can't be enough to take down an entire fleet."

She tried to smile in return, but that didn't work out.

Trucy would have added more, but that would be revealing too much on her past, she thought.

At his sudden words she jumped a bit.

"O-Oh... ah, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to... um... annoy you."

God, she looked like a wreck. This was probably why she never really talked to him; she couldn't get the words out, and she'd annoy him! If not that, it had to do with something about her rambling, or the fact that Simon always had some sort of wacko inspirational quote to make his words sound more superficial. To put it to base, he was flat, and didn't want to be bothered. 

Trucy turned around to leave, blanketing herself in her cape.

"Wait… U-Um…"

She twiddled with her fingers rapidly out of anxiousness. Phoenix was the one who got along with everyone, not Trucy.

"I… I… Wait…"

Trucy wanted to say that she didn’t want their conversation to end so abruptly, but that’s how conversations with Simon went. They were short, civilized, and to the point; never exaggerated or dragged on. She had to remember that, yes, but then again… they never really meant formally as far as she was concerned.
