Every now and then there'd be this phantom pain in her shoulder where she was stabbed and while she normally joked it told her the upcoming weather, in reality it was some sort of weird 'sixth sense' of impending chaos. And she wasn't sure what was going to happen but it caused her to be slightly concerned. "Huh?" she finally said as she realized someone was talking to her. "Sorry, I totally zoned out, what's up?"

"Yeah, well it's all a bit weird," he said, not really needing the answer from her. But either way, it would good to know the guy who looked like him could get a beautiful girl. He nodded. "Hm, best in Mystic Falls," he said. "Is that like the best in Texas or the best in all of France?" One was impressive the other less.

"Weird question but.. yeah?" She says before shaking his hand. She was weirded out, but... she'd been through worse than playing pretend with her almost step-dad. If she could pretend to be someone she wasn't around Dr. Saltzman, Landon, or Lizzie - she could manage Declan. She nods her head towards the Grill. "Try the Grill, best food in Mystic Falls."

"Pretty sure everyone has," he said, that didn't stop people from smoking. He turned to look up at her. "You need something, apart from the health lesson?"

"Haven't you ever heard smoking's bad for you?"

"Wow, okay," he laughed. That was a new one, looking like someone's step-dad. "Is your mom hot?" He said without thinking. Awkward and totally not a question he would normally ask, or joke about. But it wasn't every day that someone thinks you are their step dad. "Declan," he said, taking the others hand for a moment. "So, ignoring all that, you know anywhere good to eat?"

Hope studies Declan for a moment, remaining quiet for far longer than was necessary. He definitely looks younger than she knew him... too young. "My mistake, then," she finally says. She holds out her hand to him. "I'm Hope," she greets. "Sorry, it's been a long day and you looked a lot like my step-dad." She smiles, trying to put him at ease.

"I date your... who?" He looked down at himself. Did he really look that much like his father? God, he hoped not. "I don't- I don't think I know a Hayley-" Maybe he went to high shcool with someone that was called Hayley but that felt impossible for them to have a daughter her age. "How old do I look?" That was a good question. Not old enough to be dating her mother he hoped. "Sorry," he said, shaking his head. "Must have me confused with someone else."

"You dated my mom, remember? Hayley? I painted you pictures that you hung up in the bar?" She stops. "Well, I haven't really visited since my dad died." She tilts her head to the side to match him. "What hospital visit?"

Declan titled his head to the side to look at the other when she knew his name. "Why do you know my name?" He asked back, pushing himself off the wall and watching her. "So this is Mystic Falls?" She at least new the towns name, that was good. "And clearly by your accent we aren't in Ireland. Half expected my dad to fly me home after my little hospital visit." He watched her, with curiosity at her words. "How often do you visit?" He asked, focusing on the part of the conversation that made sense.

"Well, I don't really expect you to know much, Declan," she says with a slightly guilty smile. "Why are you in Mystic Falls?" she hasn't seen him since... well, since everything went down in New Orleans. "I haven't been back to New Orleans in a few years, you know that. Otherwise, I would've visited." While he was never going to be her dad, Hope had liked Declan. He was the closest thing she had for a while.

"Not really," Declan said, looking over to the other. "Where you in New Orleans too?"

Declan walked through the unfamiliar location. This was not New Orleans anymore, that was easy enough to tell. Though he wasn't sure why he was here. Though there was something peaceful about it, so he found a place to sit and took out a smoke, taking a puff.

DECLAN O'CONNELL has returned to mystic falls! he is a 23 year old HUMAN and looks like FREDDIE THORP. he has been described as being COMPASSIONATE, but also NAIVE. his last memory is unknowingly having his heart stopped by a witch friend for a spell.

did your character survive the legacies finale? if so, what have they been up to in the past year?

2026+ - After the originals, Declan is noted (after learning about the supernatural) to have became the human faction leader in New Orleans just like other members of his family, his uncle Kieran and Cami, working with Freya, Keelin and Vincent to keep New Orleans safe. I also like to think he tried to keep in contact with Hope, given their previous relationship, even if she did push him away.

what is their last memory?

(between season 2 and season 3 of the originals) - Declan has a break from college and has gone to see his cousin, Cami in New Orleans to check in with her. While in New Orleans he meets a girl that he is charmed by and she ends up using him unknowingly in a spell, that involves stopping his heart and then bringing him back to life a few moments later.

what are your character’s goals?

at the moment, he is just trying to live his life and get some distance from his parents. more to be added when he works out that he is in the future. but the boy just loves to cook and sometimes a good party.

any headcanons about your character’s past or present?

Full Bio Declan O'Connell-Jones is from Dublin, Ireland, raised there by his parents, along with his siblings (if someone wants to apply for them). He is Cami and Sean O'Connell's cousin on his mother's side, but his parents hyphened keeping both his parents names. He is the child of a powerful leader, who is a CEO of many wealth businesses. Declan however has always disliked his father choices, due to his corrupt nature, knowing his father believes money can buy anything. He has known since he was in high school that his father has affairs, one of them even being with a girl he was friends with from high school. His father a very very charming man when he wanted things. And distant when he didn’t. Declan is one of the few people that know his fathers true colours due to Declan not following the path his father set for him. Declan always wanting to be a chef and never wanting to follow in his fathers foot steps. Declan at 21 (against his morals and after leaning of the death of his cousin, Sean) threatened his father, saying that he would tell his mother the truth of his father’s affair if he didn’t pay for him to go to college to be a Chef. Declan did this, knowing that his mother already knows about the affair and that his father wouldn't pay for him to go to college otherwise. He become a well known and popular chef after this. 2013 (between season 2 and season 3 of the originals - this is where his memories are from) - Declan has a break from college and has gone to see Cami in New Orleans to check in with her. While in New Orleans he meets a girl that he is charmed by and she ends up using him in a spell, that involves stopping his heart and then bringing him back to life a few moments later. in 2026 canon - he has been living in New Orelans and has been dating Hayley for a number of years, noted to have taught Hope to drive and that they cook all their favourites together. He was also working at Rousseau's and is a great chef. Hayley is noted to always had one foot out the door with him and never told him about the supernatural. I am headcanoning that he was in New Orleans since 2020 (when he was 30) to continue his chef career.

any plots or connections you’d like to have?

witch that used him in his youth. girl that he was friends with that slept with his father. siblings. friends. would be great to have some vampire drama for him, someone compelling him. exes and flings also would be great (i think in his mild now he was open to throuple relatonships). maybe someone he was dating after hayley if someone wants a like modern connection. also might be up to a child of his own connection with the first plot.

what do you ship?

we really didn't get to see declan with hayley that much, but it seemed very cute. so open to that. so like the idea of declan and bonnie having been together in the future after hayley died, but will wait for player for that to be canon in the group. so for declan i am pretty much open to anything. though the boy is currently heterosexual.

TJ was born Tristian Connell De Martel. He is the son of Declan and Aurora. He was born in French and was raised by the famous chef and his immortal mother. TJ has had a relaxed life, enjoy the many gifts of the life his parents gave him (more family history to be planned since we have his family).

But after living in French for many years he wanted to explore the world, travelling from city to city to see what the world has to offer. He loves to met new people and party, and explore all the best food in the world. He has just come to New Orleans as the next city on his travel list and is living out of the le pavillion hotel of his parents credit cards.

tj is up for all the drama and fun with basically anyone that has been traveling outside of new orleans. he would love a throuple relationship or hook ups from random cities before this one. He loves a pretty girl. hit me up and we can plot!
