General Ragna Headcanons

Ragna's probably. Not very experienced in romance at all.

In his defense, when had he ever had the time?

Needless to say, when you first asked to join him on his little journey, he blatantly said no. No matter how close you two were.

Eventually, he gives in. Perhaps it's the only way he can keep you safe and quite frankly, he didn't want to lose anyone else he cherished.

There's not much Ragna can really do, being a wanted criminal and all.

Though, know that during all this traveling, you two see some rather amazing sights.

It becomes rather normal that whenever there's a meteor shower, the two of you stay up and watch them for example.

Ragna himself is rather protective. As stated before, you're someone he doesn't want to lose.

He may be a bit harsh if he catches you doing something that otherwise could've ended poorly, but you know he's just worried.

Because of his strength, Ragna can easily carry you around.

He probably doesn't go to sleep until you do either. Don't think he needs much sleep anyways.

Despite his appearance, he can be rather soft at least. You're perhaps the only witness to such kindness.

The others tease him about this relationship, of course. Expect lots of jokes from Rachel, Taokaka, and maybe even a few others.

Lord help if you tease him as well. He has the strength to easily lift you up and show he's not one to be teased-

It was a normal evening in Kagetsuchi. The center was filled with many people as usual, with much activity. You noticed many couples were out, though, it was expected.

After all, it was Valentine's Day.

The day of celebrating love, where people can confess their feelings to their crushes, while couples treated themselves to appreciating each other.

You and Ragna had been dating for 2 years, and in doing so, you got to know the man beneath his infamous reputation as the "Grim Reaper".

You were thinking of this when his voice interrupted your thoughts.

"Hey. Where do you want to go today?"

"Hmm... How about we go to that restaurant over there?"

You pointed to a restaurant over to the right. The restaurant wasn't fancy but it looked nice enough. As you are walking over there, you hold Ragna's hand. Noticing this, he blushes slightly and turns his head so you can't see his face but you do anyway.

After dinner, you and Ragna go to the outskirts of the hierarchical cities. You two sit next on a tree, with the moon shining on both of you.

"You know, I never celebrated Valentine's Day that much. However..." Ragna looks at you with a small smile and gently pulls you closer towards him.

"With you by my side, maybe this day will be a little more happier for me..." Hearing this, you pull him into a kiss, with him being a bit surprised, before going deeper into the kiss.

Once finished, you lay on Ragna's shoulders, with you two looking at the moon.

"Happy Valentine's Day, Ragna."

"Happy Valentine's Day to you too, Reader."

The original request for context:

Honestly I could probably go on about the entire Remix Heart team but that's not the request and I have yet to sit down and finish reading Remix Heart past chapter 1.

-The slow burn pre-relationship is going to drive someone insane. Whether it's any combination of you three or any spectators to it. Probably all of the above.

-Makoto was the first to develop feelings between her and Noel, the latter being held back somewhat by her extremely low self confidence. She tries to hold these feelings back because as far as she's concerned there's no way you should realistically fall for her next to someone much more attractive and self-assured like Makoto.

-Makoto soon starts dating you, only amplifying these feelings for Noel. The squirrel girl doesn't take long to notice this and turns on supportive friend mode.

-What initially starts as a joke soon begins to escalate. One thing leads to another, and before any of you can realize just what happened, you're all dating each other.

-Initially it seems more like a situation where you're just dating both of them at the start. You go on dates with either Makoto or Noel, but not both. Noel sorta freezes up and takes a backseat in the relationship because she has no idea what the hell she's doing. Please be patient and understanding with her.

-After around 2-3 months, the three of you start getting used to this relationship and throuple dates become much more often and comfortable. It's a cycle of one of you choosing the dates to go on.

-Makoto gravitates towards more physically active or generally extroverted type dates. Going to see a game, take you two to a new restaurant she'd caught ear of, etc. Noel prefers the quieter, more lowkey dates. Usually at home or a cafe with a relaxing atmosphere.

-The two are very much an opposites attract deal. They both definitely find each other attractive, even if it took Noel specifically a bit longer to actually grapple with that fact, and their strong friendship as a basis keeps them from stepping on each others' toes when it came to sharing you as well. You act as the middle of the relationship, keeping the other two grounded and being a mediator on the rare times it's necessary.

-There's no doubt it can be a bit draining sometimes, but for these two, it is most definitely worth it.

Hugs with Mei are always private but she squeezes you really tightly and expects you to do the same.

When she gets jealous she immediately attacks her perceived rival with a barrage of insults.

R – His favorite moment in the relationship?

The moments that stand out most to him are the moments that prove you're here to stay.

He's not afraid of you leaving- if you’ve suddenly come to your senses and want to ditch his ass, he won’t stop you- but he is terrified of losing you. Nothing in life is forever. A single night can turn everything you love to ash. That's a lesson he can never forget.

So his favorite moments are the times when he gets to see that somehow, you’re still here. When he wakes up from a nightmare and you’re still sleeping soundly. When he finishes a fight and sees you uninjured, cheering him on. When he sees he’s strong enough to protect you no matter what may come.

G – How gentle is he?

Ragna isn’t good at gentle. Nothing in his life has even been gentle. It wasn’t a luxury granted to him, and it’s not a skill he’s ever learned. You’re left with two flavors of Ragna; rough or clumsy.

It’s not that he doesn’t want to be soft with you. Your ability to be gentle may be something he admires. But he’s had to dedicate his life to survival, and gentle doesn’t help you survive.

So he rarely holds your hand, too used to holding his sword, and when he does reach for you it’s to drag you along with him because you were walking too slow. Your conversations are full of cussing, eye rolling, heavy sighs, insults that come to sound like petnames, and the occasional rough flick to your forehead. It's always rough around the edges and a little imposing. But if you know Ragna, if you love him, you know how soft he really is under all that edge.

N - How are nights spent with them?

Unusually, to start. Ragna’s ‘day’ typically begins late in the evening. He’s pretty nocturnal by this point. So a lot of the time, a night with him starts with his breakfast and your dinner. He loves it when you bring him food; he’s low on cash, and starting his day with a dine-and-dash can be a problem for the criminal activities he’s planning to get up to. Other times, he'll be cooking for you, but you have to find him first.

When Ragna's about to be in the area for a while, it's usually Jubei who appears on your doorstep to let you know. He won't answer any of your questions directly, but he drops enough hints to give you an idea of how long Ragna will be around for and where you can find his campsite. Ragna's constantly telling you to stop coming out here, especially so late at night, but he also keeps cooking enough food for two, so you know he's expecting you.

Once the food's all gone, he'll start to shoo you away, but for the first hour or two he doesn't really mean it. He likes having you around, hearing about your day and bantering with you.

Sometimes he'll let you fall asleep on him. He always feels like an ass when he has to wake you up, though. He insists on walking you home.

A – How affectionate is he?

We touched on this topic a little in the G entry. Ragna is loving, incredibly loving, but he’s awkward in how he shows it. As you learn his unique little language you’ll be able to see that he’s actually very affectionate. It’s just that affection, from him, doesn’t look like candlelit dinners or slow dances.

In some ways it’s very juvenile. He’ll pick on you for all sorts of things, sneaking in whatever stupid jabs he can and dropping “dumbass” the same way a more conventional boyfriend would use “baby."

In other ways it’s strangely nagging, like all the years he missed out on being an older brother are being taken out on you. Don’t wander off by yourself, put on a damn jacket already, have you eaten yet, isn’t it past your bedtime.

You have to wonder if he's having fun, being the one lecturing someone else for a change.

Happy Valentine's Day! Short Thoughts Collection, Calamity Trigger

Assorted thoughts that came up during a Discord discussion, under the prompt "what would the characters give you for Valentine's Day?" Dedicated to @straymoonblood as the prompt was their idea.

RAGNA = THE = BLOODEDGE

Ragna might work up the nerve to buy some stupid little candy bar or card for you, but he feels awkward about it, and the more he thinks about it the harder it is to do. He's most comfortable just having dinner with you as usual, only realizing it's Valentine's Day while you're already eating, and blushing a little over having cooked you dinner.

JIN = KISARAGI

Jin leaves a card and a single flower. He doesn't have the nerve to look you in the eyes, and until the last minute he's flip flopping on whether or not it's even worth it to give you anything. It's also up in the air whether or not he signs it. If you're dating, he won't because it's obvious he did it- but at the same time if he's struggling with his feelings too much he still won't sign because of that uncertainty.

NOEL = VERMILLION

Noel is absolutely going to cook for you I am so so so sorry. Spends WEEKS making Pinterest Inspiration Boards plotting how she's gonna do the visuals, packaging and all that. She daydreams about writing you a poem too, but isn't actually prepared to let you see her writing. If she's comfortable enough she might include one quote from a romance poem or novel she likes though.

RACHEL = ALUCARD

Rachel oh god. She either watches you all Valentine's Day from a distance like the jealous and stunted little stalker she is, or she 'invites' herself to hang around you all day. If you're already in a solid relationship she'll be more clear about wanting to spend the entire day with you, sharing meals and getting all your attention; but if you aren't, she's just going to hover and tease and antagonize you because she struggles with the vulnerability of just admitting she wants this to be romantic. She might repeatedly accuse you of crushing on her.

TAOKAKA

Taokaka is unfamilair with Valentine's Day, but quickly picks up the… general idea from the way people in Kagutsuchi are acting. She's hunting you down, pouncing you, and DEMANDING her treats, immediately forgetting that she Just Learned About This and deciding that you MUST have something planned and prepared for her. This is gonna happen whether you've been dating for two years or whether she still hasn't fully realized she likes you as more than a friend. It might be when she accidentally admits it, honestly, as she gets all pouty if you don't have anything for her and tearfully asks "Is Tao not your super special favorite person, meow!??!?!!"

IRON = TAGER

Tager. Finally, someone prepared and mature. The biggest issue with Tager is the threat of Kokonoe working him a little too hard, leaving him with little room to plan. He may be mature enough to take your relationship seriously, but he isn't healthy enough to go as far as requesting the day off. He'd like to do dinner with you, and he probably has a carefully wrapped gift he made (something intricate and delicate, in line with his model ship hobby), but he almost ends up late for your date after getting swamped with work. But Kokonoe does care about him, and she already memorized his plans and set aside time for him to meet you, even if she acts like she doesn't care.

LITCHI = FAYE = LING

Litchi is another person who puts active effort into planning a date, but also another person at risk of missing it due to overwork. As long as there's not some ridiculous Comedy Of Errors keeping her too busy at the clinic, everything should go smoothly. She spends some time either the day before or early that morning making chocolates with Tao, Platinum, and a few more friends, and has them beautifully wrapped by the time she plans to see you. Whatever the date is, she plans to end it at her house, adding herself as part of her gift to you.

BANG = SHISHIGAMI

Dear god. Bang. Unless you're also bombastic, or love over-the-top things, Valentine's Day might be a little rough for you. Whether he means to or not, he's going to end up WAYYY too loud, flashy, and probably draw a crowd. He doesn't just want to give you a gift, his love for you is SO much stronger than that!! He wants to give you a passionate declaration of love! Something with a dorky speech and fireworks. I'm sorry, but his homeboys will probably be somewhere clapping.

It's a strange situation. If you say it to her she'll try to say it back but will stop herself. Only says it by accident in very intimate moments. Accept it and don't push further because you will get electrocuted.

She's kind of possessive so she tends to scare away people she considers a threat to your relationship.

Do not use her height to tease her with a kiss. She will harm you to make you keel over so she can return the favour.

Having kids would be a huge decision for her if she even decides to do so.

It's a bit hard to understand her with the strange push and pull of her affection and teasing. From the outside the relationship might seem borderline abusive but you know that's just an act.

She'd sooner die than admit how much you actually mean to her.

Can Hakumen even have sex? Well, even ignoring the debate about what that armor may be equipped with, if one were to open their third eye and accept that ‘sex’ isn’t limited to Penis-In-Hole Interaction… well, the man undeniably has hands, and plenty of body to grind on, is all I’m saying.

Being what he is, everything he’s meant for and everything he seeks to embody, he’s not very open to the idea of sex. Ever since his past life, Jin has always been the type to reject intimacy. But he’s never been immune to it. To the contrary- despite his best efforts, he’s always been desperate for it.

He’ll humor this, at your insistence. You must be mad to see anything desirable in this body… but he loves you too much to deny you forever. He’s felt the pain of leaving feelings unsaid, unshown, before.

You can tell he’s enjoying himself by how quiet he is. No snide remarks to be found. He holds your hand as gently as he can, but being what he is, that isn’t saying much. The Susano’o Unit was never meant for gentleness, it was never meant for this, and the long-dead Jin Kisaragi within feels a need to cling to you with all his strength lest he lose you somehow. He’s prone to rubbing your hand with his thumb; the talons he bears may prick your skin, but they won’t draw blood.

Rest your forehead against his mask. Grant him a fleeting dream of what could have been.

KAZUMA = KVAL ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆

Kazuma’s sense of self is so… blurry. He’s got one foot in humanity he has no right too, a longing for purpose, connection, a family somewhere out there who might be missing his absence… and the other foot stepping off a ledge, into an abyss that sees no worth in human connection, no joy in tenderness.

So hold him. Look at him. See him. Want him. The closeness is almost threatening, but this far in he can’t bring himself to ruminate over it- not now, not with the way you’re cooing at him. The chance to get a glimpse at his blushing face through those bangs is divine. He keeps squeezing your hand, overwhelmed by this sense of presence he’s never felt before- like for once in his life he’s a real part of the world, not some lost foreigner wandering through it.

Deeply intimate sex also feeds a hunger he doesn’t know he has; it satisfies some urge in his programming, his purpose as a Grimoire and vessel to mix, merge, become one with another.

Just be careful. Shy as he may come across, Kazuma goes kind of crazy when his emotions heat up.

The Hazuki family has, since its inception, been the strongest of the Duodecim. They have held onto this title as the generations passed and the other families grew weak by mercilessly snuffing out every shred of vulnerability within their heirs. To be the head of the Hazuki family, one must be a perfect soldier- a perfect weapon. There is no room for emotion. There is no room for love.

But let’s be honest. Nothing can truly kill the human heart. Suffocating our feelings only makes them more desperate. Clumsier, hungrier, needier.

Houichiro is a man so full of tender words he will never be able to say that he could choke to death on them. It’s about the trust, the closeness, the dedication. If Tsubaki is having sex with you, she intends to spend her whole life with you, and she wants every loving moment you share to express her dedication.

Additionally, she can actually be a little shy about expressing these sorts of feelings; this kind of position keeps you close but also hides a lot of her body. She can stabilize her nerves by focusing on the way you’re holding her, able to view this as something shared, rather than her being on display.

M -- How are mornings spent with her?

Growing up as military nobility, Mai is accustomed to a strict schedule. She’d get up at the same time every morning, have breakfast, be briefed on her schedule, attend tutoring and training, etc. Working for Sector Seven offers her a lot more freedom than the Duodecim did, but she’s still very prone to routine.

She’s an early riser even on days off, and is quick to start her day- though waking up next to someone else, and having the time to enjoy that, is a luxury she’s come to treasure. If she wakes up first, she takes the opportunity to savor the moment and just watch you for a while. If you’re both up, she loves to take a few minutes to cuddle before the two of you start getting ready for work.

Then there’s the issue of breakfast. She likes be with you while you eat, chatting and continuing to enjoy the morning with her favorite person- but when it comes time for her to eat, she prefers to get it done quickly right before she heads out the door. Without access to Noel’s magic cuisine, eating is always a rough part of the day for her, and she doesn’t like to darken your morning with her suffering.

Always wishes you a good day before you go your separate ways. A hug and a kiss are appreciated, but she’s not often bold enough to instigate them herself.

A -- How affectionate is she?

Mai isn’t a very physical person. They didn’t hug in her house, and she’s still a tiny bit awkward with her body at this point. She’s not necessarily against touch, but as said above, she’s not going to instigate it. She’s also not the kind of girlfriend who does big, flashy romantic gestures. Are you kidding? She'd be mortified!

Mai’s love is a quieter, gentler sort of thing, though she does love deeply. She’s plenty affectionate if you know how to see it. She expresses her love for you in how much she listens to you, how well she remembers all sorts of innocuous little things you’ve said or done, and the amount of time she likes to spend with you- no matter what she’s got going on, she stops by to see you every chance she gets.

Acts of service are also a staple of a relationship with her; showing how much you mean to her by helping you somehow could be considered one of her favorite parts of the relationship. She wants to pay you back, even just a little bit, for how much you improve her life on a daily basis.

I -- How long until she says 'I love you'?

Mai probably won’t be the first to say it. She’ll be in love with you before she fully understands the feeling, and even once she does realize, she may choose to hold onto them for the ‘right time.’ Though her feelings are very earnest, she’s always been the type to keep them to herself if she fears they may rock the boat; and this is one of those cases.

In her mind, if you haven’t said those words yet, there’s probably a reason! If she were to say them now, she could come on too strong and scare you away! She’s never even been in a relationship until now, so she knows there’s a lot she could misunderstand, and a lot of room for her to mess this up. She doesn’t want that. So she’ll choose to let you set the pace.

Her silence will break in emotional, high-stakes moments. If there’s ever a time when you’re in danger or hurt it just spills out. Her anxiety doesn't mean anything compared to you. So if you’re a more shy or reserved kind of person, expect your first “I love you” to be a teary-eyed one, accented by the tightest, safest hug of your life. It’ll be emotional.

Once the words are officially on the table you’ll hear them before bed every night. They’ll probably continue to come up in your more serious or intimate moments too. The words come easy to her when she’s feeling passionate and her earnestness is on full display.

In more lighthearted situations, though, she struggles- if you tell her you love her while teasing or in a crowd, she gets all blushy. She’ll still say it back, but she’ll be looking at her feet while she does so.

Due to the circumstances of her life she is ready to both give and receive any form of affection. She’s very careful about finding out and sticking to your preferred love languages.

As usual with Fate someone has to be master and someone has to be a servant. As a friend she can be a bit of a tease but is nice overall.

She almost always falls asleep when cuddling. The feeling of warmth and security really helps her relax.

Caster tries very hard to be a good housewife to varying degrees of success. Most of the time before cooking anything she has Shirou give her a lesson. She’s happy to clean as long as it doesn’t intrude on your time together. If it does she’s having the golems do it. One thing she does excel at is sewing, she’s great at fixing up your clothes and even making new ones.

You will be betrayed and killed.

While she would be over the moon if you proposed it’s very hard to actually pull it off. If she sees you moving around suspiciously or trying to keep something from her her paranoia will get the better of her. This will most likely lead to you getting stabbed and bleeding while she monologues about how she saw through you and knew you were cheating. When you tell her about the ring she immediately does a 180° and starts apologising through tears while healing your wound and saying how happy she is.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

No matter what kind of person you are or what she’s doing she always has an extremely delicate touch.

Everytime you get back home she jumps you with a hug giddy to show you what she’s been working on in your absence.

She would not hold back about gushing to anyone who will listen how much she loves you but only if you’re not present. When she attempts to say it directly to you she gets incredibly shy.

Easily gets jealous due to her paranoid nature.

Losing the one person in her life that didn’t use or betray her would definitely lead her into going completely insane and lashing out.

At some point in the relationship when her insecurities get the best of her she would decide to use a love potion on you. However whatever she’d try seemingly wouldn’t work. She tried slipping it into your drink, putting it in food and even convincing you to drink it directly but nothing seemed to have an effect. She knew it should be working due to her proficiency in crafting and she even tested it on other people. She would eventually confront you about using some form of protection magic or being under the influence of someone else’s spell. This leads to you explaining that there’s no change because there’s nothing to change. She has never been more embarrassed in her life.

She would not enjoy you being secretive.

I feel like Hinata would have a breeding kink

Y'know, I'm thinking about this, and I can't decide if I agree with you or not. My first thought is to disagree, thinking that Hinata's pretty vanilla inclined overall, and that her status as an adopted child with a found family type situation would skew her toward being neutral to that kind of thing.

But then I think more about it, and I think I'm being narrow minded. You might be onto something. The closeness and intimacy of positions associated with breeding kink, and the framing of "we're going to start a family, I love you and want to stay with you, the kids are gonna love you" are both things that overlap with other kinks I've already started exploring in my draft of the smut request from a while back. Hell, after all the loneliness Hinata's faced, this fantasy might really scratch an itch for her. Trauma is a GREAT catalyst for sexual fixation.
