Kindle tilted her head to the side, a blank expression on her face as she seemed to be trying to remember. She looked at his hand and happily reached a paw out to shake it. His voice and scent were familiar to her and it didn’t take long before she trilled in delight upon seeing him again! “Char char!~”  “I’m certain it would be pretty hard to forget you, Leon. Especially since she watches your matches almost religiously to better her training. Isn’t that right Kindle?”  “Char charmeleon!” She nodded to confirm before her gaze turned towards Ham. Noticing his squint only made her glare in return, not in a threatening way but clearly there was a determined glint burning within her eyes. 

Kindle’s reaction was way too cute. Leon had to smile and chuckle in response. “I’m happy to hear that, Kindle! Say, how would you both like to show me what you’ve learned. Fancy having a go at battling me and Ham?” Leon’s smile changes to a more confident one as he stands up straight to perform his old charizard pose, flipping his hand up into the air. His charizard instinctively steps up to pose with him, roaring in agreement. After doing this he laughs and stands normally again, hands on his hips.

Leon just about chokes on his cola. “The internet says WHAT?!” The shock of hearing this makes his face go SO red SO fast. Feeling embarrassed, he covers his face with a hand dramatically. “That’s unfair-- I mean untrue! We have never even ONCE been on a d-d-d....” He pauses, closes his eyes and clears his throat before finally getting it out, a stern look on his face. “...a DATE!!”

Maybe Leon couldn’t help but sound demanding, considering his position. Still, when Raihan points it out, the ex-champion feels bad about it. “Oh, sorry, mate. I didn’t mean it that way.” It was hard for him to catch on to sarcasm or jokes. “You know me, I’m passionate about good airflow!” No he wasn’t. Why did he say that? Why did he ALWAYS say such stupid sounding things around his friend? He clears his throat and quickly changes the topic. “Right!” He sets his own bags down and reaches in to grab the contents and set them out on the counter to see. “Where do these Oran Berries go? Milk goes in the fridge, I assume...” This shouldn’t be hard but Leon doesn’t put away groceries usually. He doesn’t even shop for them. At this rate, putting up the groceries is going to take a while. What a shame... having to spend more time here with Raihan. DARN.

❛ we just got back 'n' you're already demandin' things? ❜ raihan laughs once he kicks the door to his home shut, the warmth sheltered within the space was welcoming as raihan held the bags in his hands. ❛ besides, before any windows are opened, you're helpin' me put all o' these groceries away. ❜ when heavy steps move into the kitchen, he's placing everything down on the counters with a small grunt. such heavy bags, raihan wonders how they even managed to carry them all up the staircases without them breaking. ❛ 'cuz last time i checked, you made these plans to hang out 'n' decorate at my place. ❜

Victor had just finished training his team a little when Leon stopped by, the brunette perking up a little upon hearing the chairman’s voice causing him to turn his head and smile. “Ello Leon, it’s been a while!” His Inteleon, Oswald, waved at the duo before stretching and walking off to relax. He tilted his head slightly upon the mention of the fire type. “You mean Kindle? Oh she’s wonderful! In fact, she’s quite powerful now. Would you like to see her?” He questioned, grabbing his Pokémon Box to find the Pokémon in question’s pokeball. After a bit of shuffling he perked up and beamed. “Ah there she is, come on out Kindle!” He tossed the ball into the air, setting Yuki’s heal ball into the box for the time being. The pokeball spun before popping open, a blue beam shooting towards the ground and materializing a Charmeleon before them. “Chrraaaaa!!!” She roared, the flame on her tail burning bright before she looked up to the violet haired man.

The smile on Leon’s face becomes wider and more genuine once he sees her looking up at him. In her eyes he can still see that she is indeed the same Pokémon gifted to Victor. “You’re right, she’s much stronger now! Growing perfectly, I might add. I’d expect nothing less.” The young chairman bends down and offers his hand out to the small Charmeleon. “Kindle! Do you perhaps remember me?” His Charizard seems intrigued by the other simply because it is of the same species and leans in a bit closer, eyes looking surprised to see her come from the ball. Something seems... familiar. Hamburger gives a soft snort, worried Leon had been having Victor training another Charmander in secret!!! Was his position as Leon’s best friend in danger?! Surely not... but he can’t help but be a bit jealous and it shows!! That is, until Leon smiles back at him with a smile. “And you, Ham. Do you recognize her?” The question shocks the lizard who steps back a bit, looking from Leon to Victor to Kindle and back around a few times blinking to show his confusion. Ham then decides to squint at the Charmeleon.

@behemothbash  “Lee…?” It’s odd - and a bit scary, if he’s being honest - seeing his brother so… vulnerable. But the fact that he’s being shown this side of Lee, the fact that Lee is coming to Hop for something… Hop reaches out to hold the other’s hand and gives it a light squeeze.  “A reason… fer what?” Is this about losing his title and switching professions? Hop knows all about losing; is that why Lee came to him? He gives another squeeze to his brother’s hand in reassurance.  “Lemme help, Lee.”

Of course, this is a bit scary for the ex-champion as well. Knowing Hop saw him as a hero kept him playing the part, not wanting to show any signs of weakness physically or even emotionally. “A reason to keep going... that isn’t for other people but for myself.” He sighs but the hand squeeze makes him huff out a small laugh and crack a small tired smile. “It’s been such a long time since I had the power to make any decisions about my future and all I do is default back into battling... into being that hero everyone says they see in me.” He looks at his brother for the first time since this conversation started with sad, tired eyes. “Did I make the right decisions? I don’t know. Is the Battle Tower even a good idea?” A long pause happens before he breaks eye contact and looks away, hiding his face in his free hand. “...Or is it just the only thing I know how to do?”

“I’m okay” he replied “Spikemuth can get pretty cold too so I’m used to it, but if you wanna warm me I wouldn’t mind” then he was silent for a moment “eh….that came out a lot differently then I meant for it, sorry”

It sure did and it also caught Leon completely off guard. He is now staring with wide golden eyes at his black, white, and pink companion. “Uhhh!” He says before laughing and scratching the back of his head awkwardly. “I am naturally pretty warm... like Charizard!” Changing the subject to his partner was always a safe fallback.

⟡ ═══ ♛ ═══ ⟡ Gloria can’t help the laugh at the words - full and hearty. It’s not hard to imagine Sonia’s face ; she doubt it’s too different from the face she still pulls at times. If anything, it’d be even WORSE since she was younger at the time.

        ˙ At the added statement, she recollects some of the things Sonia calls Leon while grumbling about some of his impossible requests after certain visits of his- “I don’t think ya gotta worry ‘bout that. I’m pretty sure she knows.”

        ˙ But, it’s those 'impossible’ requests that have landed them here, hasn’t it? All bundled up, shin-deep in the snow of the Crown Tundra to check some tracks. Never mind how Sonia kept Gloria aside at the train station for a moment, and told her not to let Leon out of her sight for even a moment. The researcher seemed honestly worried, but Gloria figures he’ll be fine even if she DOES lose him for a while. Maybe. But she’s not planning to test it. Hence why she called dibs on the map, which she raises up to her face. Sonia marked the area they should check out first, and judging from the paper…

        ˙ “Thatta way.” she points into the direction. “Should be past the village, or d'ya wanna make a stop there first? I think Prof Son said somethin’ bout tourism shirts, we should pick some up on the way back.”

    Odds are, she’s very likely to lose him since he tends to run off but at least he doesn’t run the risk of freezing to death since he has Charizard with him at all times. Both of them are dressed in matching cold weather outfits, scarves and all. Hamburger even has a cute little toboggan on over his horns.    Leon really shouldn’t be here as he’s strapped for time as is but how was he going to say no to Sonia? The young chairman’s excitement certainly had nothing to do with the possibility of seeing any one of these legendary Pokémon Sonia believed to be out here hiding in the cold, nooo. Don’t be silly!    “Yeah we should stop in and say hello, I think! I’ve never been here before so I’d like to meet some of the people, see what they know... you know?” Leon smiles and heads off in a slightly different direction from the way she’s pointed him. Don’t worry, Charizard is used to nudging him the right way to which he responds. “Just looking over there, I wasn’t running off!”
