Speaking of Hugo I had a question about his relationship with his Pa! I couldn't help but notice in the times we see them together, Mewtwo doesn't seem to have any endearing nicknames for Hugo. For Amber it's Munchkin or Baby girl, you know very sweet names a dad may call his daughter but for Hugo I noticed he's usually calling him by his name or boy. Like he isn't as close or hasn't really called him something similar for Hugo. Is that intentional? Like something from how traumatic his birth was for Mewtwo still playing some parts or is it more-so Mewtwo had a lot of girl dad stuff in his nickname mind vaults and can't really place anything for a son to call Hugo? I just found it interesting and wanted to know your thoughts!

Technically yeah, it's intentional. Jeo doesn't even want to see or interact with Hugo at all for the first week due to trauma, let alone give him a name. So "the boy" is what he's referred to as for awhile. But calling him boy eventually just kind of sticks. Jeo might call him kiddo every now and then too, but not anything like the nicknames he gave Amber. He does get closer with Hugo overtime, but he also has different relationships between his kids. A father's relationship with his daughter isn't always equal to the relationship he has with his son, but that doesn't mean he loves his children any less just cause one has fewer affectionate nicknames than the other.

"Hey lovely!" Victor pokes his head into Hop's office with a bright smile on his face. "A little Scorbunny told me you were in here today, you aren't planning to work all the way into the next year are you?" He fully walked in holding Skip in his arms, making his way to Hop's desk to turn and lean back against the piece of furniture. "Or is this your way of saying you don't want to spend the last of this year with me?" He inquired with a playfully sad pout.

Hop almost didn't hear Victor come in - he maybe got a little bit carried away with his work and didn't realize how much time had passed. He'd told himself he would take a break for the holidays, but it was so hard to tear himself away from his research.

Still, when he heard Victor's voice he did look up from the book on mega evolution he'd been reading.

"Huh? No way, there's still tons of time left until the year ends, right?" Glancing at the clock, Hop winced, realizing just how much time had gotten away from him.

"Okay, okay, no more work! Promise!" He closed the book to prove it and stood up, reaching out to pat Skip's head before he leaned in and pressed a kiss to Victor's cheek. "You've got my full attention for the rest of the year!"

*Now that he had the free time Leon had decided to pay Victor a visit. After all it was rare that he got a day free and he wanted to thank Victor for the Valentine’s gifts. So he sat inside the Corviknight taxi taking in the familiar sights, a box on the seat next to him, waiting to be opened by its intended recipient.*

“I’ll get off here and walk the rest of the way.”

*With that the taxi descended and let Leon out, he paid the driver and took the box, making his way back.*

“It’s been quite a bit of time since we were last able to chat like this, Champion. Don’t sweat it, I get it, duty calls.” Nessa doesn’t bother to tailor the fondness in her voice, delighted to see an old, yet familiar, face. Having down time for her to truly engage with her company felt like it was few and far between. She was certain the same could be said for Galar's Champion. She lightly waves her hand off in the air before giving a tilt of her head, hair giving an airy sway with her movements.

“How have you been? How’s your team doing? How’s Oswald doing? He’s not one of my weepy little Sobbles anymore...Now he's a mighty Champion's companion. I still let everyone know that I knew him before he was cool.”

"I can't believe it!" Lack-Two Sighed, Frustrated as he Walked Deeper into Pinwheel Forest, his Zoroark Following suit, "The Galar Champion is coming to Unova, yet I still haven't Caught the Three Remaining Sages of Team Plasma!"

Aaah - No Wonder Why he's So Frustrated! With Potentially Dangerous People being Free, the Foreign Champion could get Hurt! Or Worse!! After all, Lack-Two Knows just how Dangerous Team Plasma is. And Zoroark is just Allowing his Trainer to Ramble - Never Hurt to Ramble On.

"Ah...But...I Guess I Understand it could Look bad if Someone Said Something..." He Sighed.

"Though they could at least have gave Me a Three Day Notice..."

The Trainer Sat Down by a Tree, Sighing as Zoroark Laid Down Next to him. He Smiled, Soon Returning the Pokemon back to his PokeBall as he Rested there. Team Plasma...The Galar Champion coming...Just - Everything. Everything is So Stressing for him...

       Galar was uncharted territory. From the place itself to their gym challenge structure there was little to be found that was familiar beyond the pokemon living there. Even the few battles Mothy had engaged with so far were different, no mega evolution, no z-moves. His little camp in the wild area was nice enough none-the-less, Ornstein at his feet nibbling on a berry and Duchess trying to wriggle her way into his tent. This was the best part of the region so far. He sat in the grass staring out into the wild land, and off to Wyndon. If he got lucky he might be able to do some battles in the gym challenge, if not maybe just some auxiliary battles could be arranged. All in due time he supposed, getting up and walking over to duchess who had gotten herself stuck. Aggrons were not meant to fit in a tent that small, and she had yet to learn that lesson.
