Vincent being relatively protective of Darlin', onto having heard how strong they are, but not really believing it himself.

It makes Darlin' chuckle because they (and most other people) know that if they wanted to they could FLATTEN Vincent (partially because Vincent hasn't done much fighting but mostly because Darlin' is a beast).

It's one of the only shows of protectiveness in that way that Darlin' allows. They know they don't need people to defend them, they've proven they can handle themselves (usually). But Vincent is a worrier in the same way Sam is. He isn't as bad but he definitely is.

Okay so yk how Porter said vamps will just kill each other for sport...

Do you think they have (semi) organized fight clubs?? Like everybody shows up to a warehouse on a Tuesday night and they beat the shit out of each other?? I think they do.

And I think Quinn was heavily involved in the biggest one in Dahlia. And I think Darlin' fought in it for funsies. And I think their fight name was "Wolfie" because you don't get to decide it yourself but also no one was creative enough to think of something better.

And I imagine even after the fall out with Quinn, they were still tight w a lot of the vamps (rouges and clan members) that were regulars at the fights.

I also imagine a lot of vamps are just generally scared of them for that reason like, "no dude don't fuck with them, I've seen them round house a 50+ year, old-blood vamp. They can take a hit like a brick wall on steroids dude. It's not worth it."

To which causes mass confusion at events like the Summit when people are literally parting like the red sea when Darlin' is on the move. Like yeah get the fuck out of their way, they are NOT afraid to throw you through a wall.

Darlin and their dad ohh their js his baby(╥﹏╥)

Darlin going home after Quinn is executed and finally being able to cry about the whole situation in the arms of their dad. Their dad is the only person who has ever and will ever see them cry.

Darlin and their dad having the same habit of just coming home and knocking out on the couch in their outside clothes. Darlin has accidentally just thrown themselves on top of their dad while he was sleeping, they both fell to the floor and couldn’t be bothered to move.

Darlin’s dad who could never have a slice of cake to himself because Darlin was always around the corner to ask him for a bite, at some point he knew better and just bought another slice that they both ate while watching his sports programs.

That jacket that Darlin always wears was their dad’s jacket. He gave it to them while they said their goodbyes at the airport officially leaving Darlin on their own in the hands of the Shaw pack in California, they promised Darlin would move back home with them soon. Quinn stopped that from happening.

While they were asleep, Sam used to carefully roll back their sleeves to check if they had any wounds they didn’t tell him about.

And more often than not, they did.

Curse their stubborn-ness.

He knows that they’d rather get injured and die alone than tell anyone.

He’s scared he’d wake up one day to a cold bed and spend a day searching for his Darlin’ to find them passed out in the middle of nowhere, because they couldn’t tell him; or worse, because they didn’t want to tell him.

The thought of them bleeding out alone haunted his mind.

He’s not one to have any significant fears in life after everything he went through, but it’s different now that he has something to lose.

As much as he told them constantly that healing them wasn’t a burden on him, he could tell they never really believed it. Their smile when they finally caved and promised to tell him if they had any injuries didn’t reach their eyes.

Hence, the sneaking every night, long after Darlin was asleep. He didn’t miss the way their expression would soften after he closed the gash on their upper arm.

Sam shook his head, heart racing from the thought of them in pain the whole time they were with him earlier, and head throbbing from the overuse of magic.

They’d rather deal with potential death than be a burden to him.

His stupid mate.

I think we should spend less time on fluffy audios and more time on developing relationships and lore. I like Davey and “Angel” as much as the next person but they’re in a stagnant place rn and it doesn’t interest me to see them cuddling in bed for the 82nd time. I was to see Morgan develop his relationship w/the other obscura, I want to see more of Vega and Hush. Hell, I’d even prefer Guy audios that further along his career as a writer and talk about that more. Just give me some modicum of plot
