Effectiveness of Selected Botanicals Against Coffee Borer. Hypothenemus spp. (coleopteran: scolytidae) in Coffee canephora Authors: Ms. Mariel B Guban and Dr. Evelyn D. Singson H. hampei, otherwise known as the coffee berry borer, is the most serious pest of coffee in many of the major coffee-producing countries in the world. Crop losses can be very severe and coffee quality from damaged berries is poor because of this pest. Because Cavite State University produces its own coffee, this is one the problems they’ve facing yearly. As producing it, they have to maintain the quality of coffee they plant. Coffea canephora From over 100 species within the Coffea genus, C. canephora is a coffee species that is well adapted to warm and humid equatorial lowlands, and is considered more resistant to diseases and pests. Since coffea canephora can adjust to the warm climate of the Philippines, Cavite State University uses it to prevent the coffee berry borer. Coffea canephora, is usually used in coffee blends or in the preparation of soluble coffee and is known for its higher bioactive compounds content such as caffeine and chlorogenic.

Media Law: Privacy
Media Law is a legal field that relates to legal regulation of the telecommunications industry, information technology, broadcasting, advertising, the entertainment industry, censorship, and internet and online services among others.
WHAT DOES THE PRIVACY ACT DO?
It regulates the way agencies can collect, store and use information, and gives us rights of access to it. It also creates a complaints regime. Broadly speaking, agencies that come under the Act usually have to tell you when they’re collecting information about you, keep it secure, try to make sure it’s right, and only use or disclose it for the reasons it was collected.
WHO DOES IT APPLY TO?
Almost everyone. All government agencies (Departments, Ministries, the Police, SOEs, other Crown entities, local government, you name it). Private sector agencies too – companies, charities, incorporated societies… even individuals.
WHAT ARE THE RULES?
They are broad and general, and are set out in a set of Information privacy principles.
Very generally, anyone collecting personal information should:
make sure it’s relevant to what they do and that they’re lawfully allowed to collect it
where possible, collect it from the person concerned rather than someone else
explain that it’s being collected and why
ensure that the collection is lawful, fair, and not unreasonably intrusive
*take reasonable steps to keep it secure
before using the information,
*take reasonable steps to check that it’s relevant, up-to-date, complete, and not misleading
*discard it when it’s not needed any more
only use or disclose it in keeping with the purpose for which it was collected.

Citizen Journalism
In American Press Institute Journalism is the activity of gathering, creating and presenting news and information. It is also product of these activities. While in Wikipedia, Journalism is the production and distribution of reports on the interaction of events, facts and ideas.
When you disseminate or share information like pictures, audios, text and videos on your account in social media you are one of the citizen journalist, or commenting your insights and another information, you are one of them. Because for me citizen journalism is the easiest way to share and gather news online. Timely and easy to access are the advantages of Citizen journalism because in one click you can share the news immediately, but timely is disadvantage also because if you share fake news another issue will come out .
Nowadays there's so many fake news, they sharing and commenting links online but they didn't open it. They give their opinion about the issues yet they don't read and analyze the whole thing. For me being a citizen journalist is a big responsibility because sharing information can make a change, so always name your sources and get an information from reliable sources and don't forget the most important thing that is THINK BEFORE YOU CLICK.

Ikalawang araw ng pagdiriwang ng Buwan ng Wika taong 2017. Isa ako sa mga nakinig sa leksyon ng Panata2017, ito din ang unang taon ko na dumalo dito.
.
Sa aking pakikinig ay madami akong natutunan, hindi lamang sa tamang pagsulat, pagbasa at pagbigkas kundi natutunan ko rin kung papano ang tamang pagpapahalaga sa sarili nating wika.
Hindi lamang tiyan ang nabusog sa seminar na ito kundi pati na rin ang aking utak dahil sa mga bagong kaalamang aking natutunan sa PANATA2017.

Takbo para sa Wika TAKBO!!!
Umaga pa lamang ay nagtipon-tipon na ang mga kalahok para sa pagtakbongayong taon. Karamihan dito ay mga estudyanteng unang taon pa lamang nila sa kolehiyo dahil mahahalata mong eksayted sila. Ang ibang kalahok naman ay ang mga estudyanteng kumukuha ngayong taon ng asignaturang Filipino.
Limang istatsyon ang aming tinakbo upang makarating sa katapusan. Bawat istasyon ay may binibigay na papel at nakapaloob dito ang mga impormasyon tungkol sa Laro ng lahi.
Wala man kaming nakamit na premyo sa #TakboParaSaWika2017 ay malaking karangalan naman para sa akin, para sa amin ang pagtakbo para sa sarili nating wika.
