Honest answer? Mixed.

The actual workers deserved better. The average person there did care. The lower ranked folks were sold a dream that didn't exist and worked to hell and back. And now they, like me, are out of work.

But a company that to it's death continued to utilize harmful business practices, manipulate their employees, harbored people who were groomers and abusers, and who claimed to "be doing better" while actively changing nothing is effectively dead. And that means that they can't manipulate or harm people anymore.

I hope that the poor workers who had nothing to do with RT's bullshit and that are only doing their jobs are ok and I hope they get picked up by other job asap. They have nothing to do with any of this.

But other than that, the RT founders and anyone else in that company who created an unsafe and hostile workspace for other employees absolutely deserve this I don't feel sorry for any them.

Im sorry, im maybe watch some different volume 8 or maybe even different show at all, but didnt a whole speech was about million years old something with name "Salem" that they dont know how to beat (and almost drop that Salem is immortal to the whole world) and now plz help us ("We didn’t have time to prepare for Salem. But now you do"), that Ironwood is actually meany mean that you dont need to believe in it, even if a whole ass kingdom will fall dont give up and believe and hope in something? Oh also there is things like Maidens and Relics, but you need ask someone else about it. And this speech didnt even have a ending. "I hope Amity Tower will help bring us all together. Because in the end, that’s how we’ll win-".

Even Ironwood\Robin speech that was also having a problems, was more about uniting together and telling more about everything (maybe not specifically about wtf is Salem, but why its all need to be this way?) that Ruby "message". What message? That message that sound like almost confession that there is no plan for how to beat Salem? (that also made R/WBY and Qrow losing they mind in vol6, when they find out after Ozpin\Salem flashback but when they tell this a whole world its fine?) That message that just drop Ironwood under a buss? That message that tell that Atlas under attack, but even if its will fall (oh its nothing when a whole ass flying land-sity fall on a whole sity with no information what will happens with citizens from those lands.) - dont give up?

What always amazy me - she was one of the lead animators in the team. She was animator for RWBY since vol3 and did a lot of populars shots from vol3. She did one of the best parts for vol4-5 (SHE DID SUN/ILIA PART FOR FUCK SAKE) and did really fucking good job for GenLock animations. You dont have to be “”animation fan”” to hear her name at least ones before vol7-8. But even as a lead animators who did A LOT she cant get any compensation for A BROKEN SPINE.

You save in this company only if you are besty popular figure, but definitely not if you animator in this show.

What happened to Kim Newman?

tldr was that she was mocapping & ended up fracturing her spine, as well as having further pain related injuries due to this initial one. she attempted to put in for worker's compensation to deal with her medical bills & being out of work only for rooster teeth to fuck her over, which. burn in hell rt.

Will forever be sad about the fact that Salem is not some kinda grimm that just evolve into a human-type-of-grimm. Oobleck give us this absolutely amazing part of lore about grimm being able to adapting and evolve after sometime into some bigger and much powerful in vol2 and its never was bring up again. This absolutely banger idea never was there after that and dont have anything to do with Salem herself because she just magical human who "got evil and powerful".

You can say "oh what about The Hound" but this Big Bad Wolf was MADE by Salem, its not just "part of evolution with some mix of Salem help\control". Its maybe a cool idea on paper with "Salem can just create grimm by herself" and maybe even having some kinda "desire" for experiments and creating something new, but its just there, existing with this whole "Now she evil grimm human because of evil juice". And dont get me start it about post credit scene from vol6 and flying monkeys.

They really turned Yang into the worst version of herself she was mesnt to outgrow: violent, aggressive, hot-headed, unempathetic, whiny, hypocritical, boorish, ungrateful, insolent, abrasive, spoiled, crass, impatient, myopic, traitorous cunt.

they turned her into raven. & that sucks because we could see that beneath all this behaviour, that she wanted to be so different from the woman who abandoned her & yet, much like the show dropping that conflict, the show also pretends that she has absolutely no flaws.

but then also portrays her as this angry, thoughtless girl who "scares everyone around her" as if yang's anger isn't stemming from years of trauma & she did have other traits, the show runners have just forgone them all to promote this narrative. it really fucking sucks as someone who relates to yang so deeply.
