The ceremony starts and he can’t help zoning out, the whole event too painful for him. He thinks back on years of pining, of feelings left hanging in the air, of almosts and could’ve becomes, of if onlys and wishes that never came true. He feels like crying.

The priest starts his litany, with a formality that feels unnatural, unnerving, and Namjoon thinks back on this entire wedding, how soulless it feels to him, counterfeit to begin with.
