A belated trip if you asked him seeing as he had longed to visit the capital ever since his youth however, he took appreciation for such a visit now as opposed to never at all. He had only a few days on land before once again returning out to sea along with the rest of his crew so, the boy had done all he could to make the most of his experience in case, by some unfortunate series of events, he was unable to return again. He had taken in the obvious sights (of course), taking in long afternoons amongst the grass in Jardins de Luxembourg, hunting for The Arènes de Lutèce and taking in the aimless wandering that Anthony usually found himself doing in just about every city he had the privilege of travelling to although even the most ignorant tourist couldn't ignore the prevalent factor that not everything was as picturesque as it appeared but that came with every corner of the world . On his way from his temporary form of current accommodation, he would often pass many houses. Many occupied, some not and all of them feeling rather generic in terms of appearance . . . however, something about one of them had caught his eye slightly and that 'something' was about the occupants of it. A man and a young woman. A family of some sorts who had the presence of some kind of staff perhaps? Maybe there were more whom he simply never saw. The man was evidently older with the cusps of grey and age starting to creep up on his expression as though he had seen many things over the course of his life and stories that no doubt would cause the most mundane of businessmen to let out a gasp and wide-eyed glances to the side of them although maybe Anthony simply saw that kind of look accompany the face of any man who were older than he was with this being an appearance he wished to hold to passers-by someday as they did to him. This man certainly wielded it well with his furrowed brow and oddly overly-tense demeanour. Anthony wondered if he knew that. While the male basked in the glory of age, the girl bathed in the beauty of youth with her yellow curls and soft blue-eyed gaze with a memorable exterior that stuck with him despite not seeing her as often as he did the elder. Neither seemed outwardly cruel or unkind, in fact, they appeared the opposite. Anthony wasn't certain what made him curious about these strangers but, whatever it was, it pulled him to hang around the area more than what would be considered normal every day at varying times during his walks as if there were some secret he were waiting to catch a glimpse of but he attempted to keep any looks or advancements towards the house at a minimal in order to not give the impression of any kind of act with a negative connotation that may cause the members inside any unease. That was the last thing he wanted.

The chilly night had begun like any other with Anthony making his way back from another afternoon of tamed tourism and his pace slowing once sensing the warm glow from the home of the nameless individuals within it yet his ease suddenly shifted once noting someone emerging from the property, the brunette starting to attempt a quick escape at the realisation that he may have been spotted and whomever did so had understandably not taken so well to some young boy staring at places he shouldn't. The tension eventually dissipated when he saw exactly who it was - it were the girl - and that she had come to bring him something in a gesture of kindness that Anthony was incredibly grateful for, taking the cup with hands slipped into a fingerless glove and offering the blonde a gracious smile in return although the guilt for his behaviour was pretty prevalent in their interaction, ❛⠀Thank you, mademoiselle, truly, I...apologise if me wondering near your house so often has been .. strange, I hope that you can forgive me if I disturbed you without much of a cause to ⠀❜

she could feel her father's eyes burning in the back of her head as she walked out with a mug of hot chocolate for the boy that always seemed to be near her house the past couple of nights. cosette felt bad for him and, desperate for a friend, she asked her father if it was okay to at least bring him something warm to drink. "i live over there and i've seen you out here a lot lately. my father and i just thought this would help with the chill." cosette should know. she's spent one too many nights outside with no jacket. she didn't know if he'd even accept it. "are you looking for something or someone?" she was curious and desperate for conversation with someone other than her father and housekeeper.
