Krittika and Her Shadow

Aries: 26°40' to 30°00' - Taurus: 0°00' to 10°00'

Krittika is often misunderstood due to its connection to the early stages of the Sun’s energy. This nakshatra embodies the shadow period before the Sun fully emerges in its brightness and light, symbolizing transformation through a journey of darkness. This transitional quality gives Krittika a distinctly Lilithian essence, particularly in women who are natives of this nakshatra. Let me explain what I mean.

Krittika is told to also be a representation of Adam, from the biblical mythology of Adam and Eve, but his first wife was Lilith. Both of them wanted dominance in their relationship and Lilith refused to submit to Adam, asserting her own dominance. This marked her exile and brought Eve (which represents Rohini) in as her replacement. However, she was still one of the first with Adam. That being said it would make sense that Krittika also embodies Lilith’s boldness before she was exiled. Producing this dominance within the woman natives.

Lilith is also the representative of the dark feminine and Krittika being the first solar has that dark “shadow period.” This is before reaching purification and radiance—reflective of the dark feminine qualities.

Independent , dominant, and unapologetically unwilling to compromise in partnerships, mirroring Lilith’s assertive and untamable qualities. They’re quite intimidating but at the same time are able to pull others into their magnetic aura. Many Krittika woman are often emboldened to speak their mind and liberate other woman around them. Much like Lilith, they are a commanding presence, balancing the duality of shadow and light within themselves. Krittika’s complexity lies in its layered nature. While its hot energy is often oversimplified or misread, the interplay of shadow and transformation reveals a nakshatra of profound depth and strength. Rajaswala

रजः प्रवर्तते यस्मान्मासि मासि विशोधयत् ।

सर्वान् शरीर दोषांश्च न प्रमेहोस्त्यतस्त्रियाः ।

Transliteration :rajah pravartate yasmanmasi masi visodhayat || sarvan sharīr doshanshcha na pramehostyatastriyah | Every month (yasman masi masi) the menstrual fluid (rajah) is produced and released (pravartate)/excreted; the whole (sarvan) body (sharīr) is thus purified(visodhayat) of imbalance/toxins by facilitating excretion of them (doshanshcha na) from the body so that diabetes/polyuria (prameha) is not (na) prevalent in (asti ataha) females (striyah).

Rajas is one of the three Gunas. It denotes flow, movement, passion, energy and imparts dynamic nature and this corresponds to color Red .

In the physical body, Rajasvara represents the flow of menstrual blood, which contains blood, cervical mucus, vaginal secretions, and endometrial tissue that are being removed out of the physical body . In the vital body, Rajasraava represents the flow of excess Rajasic energy, i.e. Prana Shakti (especially the Apana vayu). And thus the women who is menstruating (अर्तववात्याम स्त्रियां स्त्री) is termed as Rajaswala .

Blood is the carrier of Prana-shakti within the physical body. Thus, through the excretion of the blood, excess Prana Shakti, which is Rajasic in nature, is thrown out of the body during menstruation. In the mental sheath, Rajas represents thoughts and emotions such as anger, frustration, uneasiness, irritation, mood swings, etc. to which menstruating women are more exposed. Therefore, menstruation is a complicated physio-psychological process that exposes a woman to the excess Rajasic condition at the physical, vital, and mental levels. Menstrual process itself is Shaucha (pure)Thus, the monthly periods must be understood as a form of austerity and self-purification.

Okay so…. I made a post a while back attributing my obsession with mother Mary to my Ardra Venus💎 since a lot of Mary’s depictions include tears and that’s Ardra nakshatra’s symbol.

But I think Mary may have a link with bharani as well

Which would just add extra confirmation for me and my resonance with her energy because im a bharani moon :

If you don’t know…yoni refers to the female reproductive part(the vag). It is also a very strong symbol for Bharani Nakshatra in sidereal astrology. It’s beginning to making sense now to me it’s tropical association…Tropically speaking, sidereal Aries becomes tropical Taurus, a place where most western astrologers classify the moon to be in exaltation. The unconscious classification to be the true epitome and the true embodiment of motherhood in western culture (mother Mary)…is actually sidereal bharani nakshatra.

Claire Nakti also made a video linking child birth and a strong connection between motherhood/birth and reincarnation/incarnation symbolism and Bharani nakshatra. It’s also funny the symbolism of the “in between” in films that have strong bharani influence on them, -mother Mary is said to be the in between-between us and God in heaven “intercession”, as they call it. And in a Catholic practice , you can pray to her on your or another’s behalf regarding your sins or otherwise, so she can bring to God on the behalf of whoever is praying.
