really hoping they spent as much money on the plot as they did on the visual effects cuz I did try to watch the one with gongjun in it while it was airing and couldn't even get past the first episode ( •ิ Θ •ิ)

this was the first c drama I watched without skipping and actually wished it had more than 40 episodes!

I immediately went for a rewatch after finishing it, only stopping myself when I got to the 9th rewatch, afraid I might get tired of it

I even made a Tumblr account just to read the lore and other people's opinions on it after persisting for about 15 years! ✌(ಥᴗಥ)

mentioned this to a friend of mine two weeks ago, all hyped up and they said "ok, what's so special about it? is the world ending then?" (⊙ᴗ⊙)

mostly posting this because i haven't seen anyone talking about it on here. there are also lots of planetarium apps like stellarium that use your location and will show you where all the planets and constellations are. it is important to note that your night vision is much better if you're away from and phone or white light for about twenty minutes, you can use a red filter on your phone and either buy red light flashlights or put something like red cellophane over a flashlight with a rubberband. also you would be surprised how many more stars you can see with even the most basic pair of binoculars and while you're at it you can also see a lot more of them moon with them too! we did also see the orion nebula pretty clearly with our binoculars as well! it's also worth looking to see if there's a star party going on near you, sometimes people will have really cool telescopes set up that you can look through and also have many people there eager to help you out

I have Feelings about these shots

This 1 second framing is the only signal you get that Li Lianhua is wiped out from the energy he just spent getting the skull back. You get this for one second, Fang Duobing looking at him for two, and then when he walks over Lianhua's act is being hungover

And Duobing buys it, you don't really register it even though you know what happened, we move on so incredibly quickly to the next plot point

Idk, it just feels worth shouting out specifically cause it's glossed over so effectively

also his little 'mmh...' of vague dismay while Fang Duobing tells him how awesome he looked is precious to me
