Louis yelped out of surprise, he wasn't exactly expecting a back from the dead resuscitation. He wrapped his arms around the girl, hoping to steady the girl and himself. She was shaking all over and it was hold, his actions seemed logical. The half Asian boy looked up at Katerine, surprised at her commanding voice.
Girls really are demanding.
"Are you all right, Miss?" Louis asked, turning back to the weak girl.
The black lake// Kat, Louis and Helena
Helena felt pressure on her wrist and low murmuring, her eyes shot open. Was the monster back to finish her off, once and for all? No, her blurred vision could just about determine that it fortunately wasn’t, but instead two students talking to each other, the nearest positioned amongst the crowd of flocking spectators.
Almost instinctively, her free hand grabbed the shirt hem of the student nearest to her (who was most likely checking her pulse), to steady herself. She would have done that to the other student too, but doubted she could crawl far enough to do that.
With the extra support, she hauled her self up into a sitting position; yelping at the sudden pain she felt in her right leg.

Louis Yukimura: I hear you've got a bit of a craving for home cooking. I've got three plates of your mother's own pancakes, and all I ask for in exchange are three brooms belonging to Ravenclaw students. Leave them in twelfth class room on the third floor for your reward.
Louis looked at the owl message, he wasn’t too proud to admit that he felt more than uneasy. It wasn’t the demands that scared him, it was the fact that this… man figured out a part of him that he hasn’t even figured out himself. He thought the first letter that came in the mail was nothing but stupid spam. But this… this was more.
Tumblr media
He scribbled down angrily, “I don’t care who you are, and where you’re from. But if you try to contact me again… I won’t hesitate to contact my father. Signed YL"

This was the very reason Louis stayed, protocol demanded that one of them should call a teacher. but the girl was so insistent on staying. She lithe and slender, not the type to be catching flying girls when it happens. The raven haired boy didn't follow the other at first, waiting for where the girl landed before chasing her body there. When he heard the loud noise associated with falling, he hit himself secretly for not thinking of a spell that could've made her fall less painful.
When they finally got to her, he crouched down and took hold of her wrist... "She still has a pulse..." he looked up at the other, "One of us should go get a teacher"
Helena felt numb. More than that, she felt as if she was dying. At some point the cold of the lake had seeped into her, because she had stopped feeling warmth; only hearing the the distant cries of the students. The clutch of squid no longer hurt, or felt as if it was there at all. Her body felt oddly…grounded. Her body felt too heavy, her eyelids too heavy, and- She could breath. All at once, it hit her. The wind on her face, the screams and grabbing of people all around her - she was saved. She was alive. Helena’s limp form tensed and shot off from the ground, only to fall back the floor - clutching herself in a vain attempt to stop the sudden pain.

Louis was still on the floor, staring at a shoe end before hearing two girls saying the words, Caspian. The half French boy froze the moment he heard that very name. This was the first name of the boy he has been interacting with in the last few days of summer. He looked up, his dark eyes meeting the face of the friend he only knows through mail.
"Grey?" Louis' mouth hung open, "C-Caspian Grey? Is that you?"
The Passageway || Caspian & OPEN
“It’s odd being a second year. Things are… Different now. Expectations are heightened; mistakes don’t go unpunished. Smart students, however, find loopholes; some in the form of passages. Are you smart, little reader? Go to the fifth floor and find Gregory the Smarmy. Who knows? Something just may be lurking behind the old stone…”
Caspian tapped his journal, scaling it down to fit in his pocket. Teivel was an odd guy, but his advice had proved helpful so far. Spell tips, chapter summaries… The guy was a genius, for a Slytherin. Quickly, he jogged up the stairs, quietly, of course. An advantage was more valuable when no one else had it.
"Fifth floor," he murmured. "This is it." Eyes scanning the corridor, he quickly caught sight of lone statue. Carefully he peeked behind it, unaware of another person’s presence.

Pancakes
Desire
Nothing is more exotic, more refined and definitely more beloved than the cooking of one’s own mother. Everyone goes on and on about a grandmother who is loving and kind, the never ending supplier of cookies and emotionality. But Louis digress, the one that pulls his heart into a never ending string of passion and ultimate desire is that of his beloved Maman.
This is no biased opinion, a creation of just eating the food of one mother all his life. This is the root of his heart’s desire. But what gets his stomach churning is the thought of his mother’s pancakes, fluffy with always the right amount of syrup. Never too much that it goes beyond a plate’s limit and never so little that he is left with half a un-syruped pancake.
There are no words to describe a pancake so magnificently crafted, a pancake no god has ever tasted because it was always Louis’ own. If the angels dropped from the skies, it was all because they were dying for the simple taste of pancake that wasn’t easily accessible.
Beyond the borders of infatuations and crawling through the web of zeal and obsession; there’s nothing like dear Maman’s pancakes.

Louis nodded, a little bit thrown off the loop with what jus happened. He just realozed now that they were facing against the resident squid, who happens to be a very large creature. The raven haired boy let himself be dragged by the girl, something he rarely let's happen.
He followed her, both in running and in thought. He already had an idea what she was going to do, although deep down he wasn't sure if it was going to work.
The moment she shouted Accio, he stood beside her. Waiting, waiting for the fallen student to come back to them.

If there was a god, he was kind enough as to give Louis the kind of bony legs that makes running a little bit faster. He knew there was some sort of danger at hand; his fear was soon realized as the girl uttered her words.
Dragged in the lake?, the boy thought frantically, this was serious. His mind was working at the speed of light, one thought running over each other frantically. The idea of telling a teacher was ideal but this was a situation that was less than and there was no time to go back and forth.
“A containment charm” he remembered reading about those things in a spell book, good thing his dear old father drilled him into learning as much spells as he can when he was still at home. With a bit of shiver going down his spine, he lifted his wand arm up. Throwing away doubt, he stared at the thing that took away the supposed victim and pointed his want, “Contenio!*”

It was strange to say the least but unlike most students- most students who aren't in the Ravenclaw house anyway- Louis has a notebook full of chicken scrawls already. The Euroasian was already snooping through his notebook of Wizard Literature notes, trying to remember if he has enough information in them to study over if ever a quiz would find itself on the first day. He was just going to find himself a nice patch of green grass on the outskirts of school when he realized that something amiss.
"Stupefy!"
For a moment, Louis stood still, almost as if he was the one that was affected with a stunning spell when he shook himself out of his reverie. The noise came from in the general direction of the great lake and he was taken aback by a girl waving her wand and running towards the lake.
Sensing danger, the boy stuffed his almost tattered notebook and ran as fast as he can to the girl. "Hey you!"
The Black Lake - writing prompt
Hogwarts had been somehow blessed (or cursed depending on whom you asked) with some unseasonably warm weather. Instead of the usual crisp winds, and grey skies, the Scottish Highlands were bathed in warm autumnal sunlight. Having grown up in the south of England, Katerine was used to slightly warmer weather, and found herself drawn outside.
Having carefully ambled down the steep bank, Katerine had settled herself against one of the trees that lined the east side of the lake; it was quieter and she could hear herself think. Peace and quiet; It was something she had grown so used to in Oxford, and now it was rarer than bottle of Felix Felicis.
She had just began writing in her journal, organizing her thoughts and cataloguing anything she’d learned about the castle, when a piercing scream interrupted. Katerine quickly looked up, her eyes widened slightly at the sight of a girl being dragged of the bank not far from her, and pulled into the water. Katerine quickly stood, tucking her journal into her pocket and moved closer to the lake, her eyes never leaving the other girl, until she was tugged under the surface.
‘What is going on at this school?’ She thought, pulling her wand, her mind scrambling over her options. She wasn’t about to run into the lake and get herself killed, but Katerine saw no other attempts being made to save the other girl. Seeing no other option, Katerine pointed her wand at the lake, and with a steadying breath, fired.
“Stupefy!”

Louis Yukimura | Ravenclaw | First Year
Blood Status: Full-blood Wand: Kaya, 10 inches, Dragon Heartstring core, Flexible Pet: Boreal owl (called Lauper) and a St. Bernard (called Cindy) Patronus: St. Bernard (one that looks very much like his dog Cindy) Boggart: His father with a belt
Background
Louis Yukimura was born and raised in France by Akira Yukimura and Beatrice De Grigny, a French witch. The daughter of a prominent Wizarding family, she was at the same social event with Mr. Yukimura. Louis’ father worked under the Ministry of Magic with the Department of International Magical Corporation and through his job there, he met the woman who would become his wife later on.  It was exactly one year before he finally asked her hand in marriage; it was a very social affair with both his and her family being very happy with the proposed matrimony.  It would take them another two years before they finally had their first child.
At the age of seven, Louis was forced into lessons by his father so he could better prepare himself when he got his letter from Hogwarts, a school recommended by a lot of his father’s peers. His father may not have been in Japan anymore, but he tended to hold a lot of traditional values from his first country and often rained it down on Louis with an iron fist. The reason why the youngster’s boggart is his father is because he grew up with that kind of strict discipline. He doesn’t hold any ill bearing towards his old man because his father generally is a mild mannered person, and he is one never to refuse Louis his other wants and needs. The boy would often insinuate that his father never really loved him, that Louis was just being groomed into the next heir to his father’s estates and such. But he constantly does his best to make his father proud, hoping that one day his father will look at him as an equal and not just as a child anymore.
His relationship with his mother is softer and more emotional; she is kind to him and would often take him out on little dates. She is the hand that tends to his wounds and ill feelings, the opposite of his father. One of the things that he loves about his mother is that she would whisk him away to the Muggle world for their little dates. This was her way of trying to show him that there is more to the world than books and the four corners of his study room. One of the things that astounds him in the Muggle world is that their pictures never move, and he pestered his mother constantly about it because it just seem so odd to him.
Louis has a three year old sister named Aimee whom he loves very much. His relationship with the baby girl is nothing short but overprotective and adorable. He treasures Aimee very much, even if he doesn’t say it out loud. When she was five months old, his mother caught him talking to the little girl— “… You should never date… please stay cute forever, okay imouto?”—which made his mother’s heart melt a little at the sight.
Louis has shown a strong affinity to both Potions and History of Magic. Potions made sense to him as a young boy because for him, everything is nothing short of a balance. He discovered this kind of thinking when his father talked to him one time, telling him the oriental belief and in Yin and Yang, creating connections between the four elements of the world. He applied his understanding towards Potions.
His constant achievements in academics and his being  the first born son of the family has made him a very pompous individual, a trait that is not well received among his peers. Apart from his achievements, he can speak three languages: French, English, and Japanese.
The boy has shown a talent for being a very good Beater; however, he was forbidden to join his House’s Quidditch team because of his father’s strict orders. He holds a secret contempt towards people holding the Beater position.
The boy is tall and a bit lanky; he’s been called “zaru” (Monkey) by his Japanese counterparts and father because of this. He can never gain muscle to save his life, and this is a source of frustration for him. This clashes very strongly with his very tough guy persona; unconsciously, he makes up for his lack physique with his brains and brash personality. Despite all of this, he a softer side to him which is something he only shows to his sister and mother.
Personality
The more charming aspects of his personality lie in his work ethics and assertiveness. A lot say he is a prodigy, but that’s not true; he was just ingrained with a very impressive work ethic at a young age. It carried through his older years and helped him achieve his good grades. His assertiveness goes hand in hand with his persevering values, although they only work in class. When applied with the social circles, it seems like he falls flat and disastrous results would ensue.
On the negative side, his two main sins are his being conceited and his lack of tact. Just like his positive traits, these two things often go hand in hand. He does try his best to get friends, but they are always put off by his brash statements and way-too-honest opinions. The reason he brushes off friendship and social contacts is mainly because people always take him the wrong way—although with good reason. Instead of trying to change his habit, he always decides to stick with it, thinking that they got him wrong all the time, and that they are the ones who don’t understand.
+ hardworking, assertive - conceited, tactless

Remembralls are curious things; see if you think about it they are a strange play on words. “Remember it all”, like a constant pin on your head, telling you things that you should always take note of.
Louis liked his little toy, although it serves a higher purpose, its physical appearance never fails to make him giggle like a little child. Despite looking it was made out of glass, the material was far superior and would not break easily. Besides, it needs to be see-through as it contains smoke that constantly changes colour (red like blood if he has forgotten something, or empty like a damned crystal ball when he has everything tapped in his head).
Currently though, it’s clear enough that he can see his palm on the other side of the little ball thing. This makes him smile as it is a sign that his memory is not bad yet- the worst possible thing to become of a mind like his! The raven haired boy smiled and threw the ball up in the air, intending to catch it when-
“Damn…!” he said out loud, the ball going to a direction that wasn’t in his line of intentions. The boy jogged a bit for the thing, swearing his lack of eye and hand coordination. When he bent down to pick it up, he was beside a statue. His ball hitting the sneaker of a passerby.
