hate when people say shaunas forgetting what Jackie looked like and for some reason its become such a prevalent comment like no I hate it please you aren't this stupid its just a bad wig sometimes because Ella has other projects or an aesthetic choice like the “what if” early 2000s grocery store version of her. as if Shauna could ever forget what Jackie looks like, she sees that girl on the backs of her eyelids when she blinks.

oh woah :O i didn't know people actually read my little reblog tag ramblings. it's funny i get this ask now because i actually have been rewatching new girl again lately :p
ig i don't have any like specific parallels? they just have similar auras to me... like if jackieshauna were a silly little sitcom couple instead of experiencing The Horrors, i could imagine them being like nick and jess...
shauna and nick are both grumpy broody chronic flannel wearers who are so Stupid when it comes to talking about their feelings and nick ends up being author which is what i think shauna would've become in a no crash/jackie lives universe. jackie and jess are both silly girlfails who are endearingly annoying and i can def imagine jackie working with kids in a universe where she actually got to grow up
maybe im just making stuff up because i have jackieshauna tinted glasses on that force me to see almost every other ship as jackieshauna coded in some way but it just makes sense to me... like early seasons nick and jess especially are just soo jackieshauna in a happier world coded
there's actually a fic on ao3 that somewhat feeds my jackieshauna new girl au hunger :3 it's 'kingdom for a kiss' by hanjisgirlfriend. idk if its intentionally new girl inspired and it's not rlly a one to one comparison but it does involve jackie being shauna, tai, and nat's new roommate and it's very cutesy and romcom-esque
