trying to conceptualize asc protag designs with picrew.
#not in the mood or position to draw cats so picrew#these are like. kinda razorverse i guess? idk? halfway? made it with them in mind but idek if these guys will make it into razorverse#uhhh frostpaw has the seal point gene from the bluestar family. shes got a fucked up family.#i was thinkingggg she and splashtail were siblings but now im considering that theyre first cousins through curlfeather and havenpelt#so its more similar to canon but theyre like. diegetically considered family#nightheart is following the ''hes the newest cinderpelt reincarnation'' change so no more firestar angst#but while i did wanna give him some orange i didnt wanna give him too much for the sake of recognition#so hes got a little bit aaand fucked up blue eyes that he loses when he breaks the cycle#sunbeam..... has nothing. i just kinda followed canon. i have no idea what to do with her. she doesnt interest me rn#maybe when i eventually get to asc in my challenge ill change my mind and suddenly she'll be my blorbo but rn i dont care abt her#besides making jokes that she should fuck nighthearts mom. or sister idk idc either one of them

as neat as i think froststar would be, i fear that nothing in canon will ever top "the unknown leader" fancomic in answering the question "what if an abused apprentice suddenly became responsible for an entire clan without processing that trauma and what would the realistic repercussions of that look like
#while i think itd be cool to finally get an example of an apprentice skipping the initial naming ceremony just for fan content#i also think that the erins just arent interested in exploring something like this#anyways its kinda wild how similar these plots would be if they do go with froststar#not identical by a long shot and the comic came first but still. fun to think about#i finished the new moonkitti vid if you cant tell sjdlkjfkdsf. i agree that mothstars probably more realistic and likely#i think both froststar and mothstar have a ton of really good potential and would be pretty cool to end the arc off on#which is why my prediction is that the erins will choose neither. ngl im sticking to leader nightheart. not bc i want it#but bc i can genuinely see it happening and the fans will be PISSED. altho probably not bc then we'd have a third nightstar#unless they make his name flamestar. which would make absolutely no sense. so its on the table!

one of the retcons was that leafstars warrior name was changed from leafdapple to leafsquirrel because “she can climb like a squirrel” and firestar actually named both of his daughters after her bc he was deeply in love with her. they kept the other dead woman vs wife love triangle stuff too so it was a love square

ive got to get into rv darktail and violetshine some more…. im thinking that rather than being removed from shadowclan by needlepaw while joining the kin, darktail strolls into camp and declares that he wants to take his daughter home. (this is where violetkit learns hes her dad, though other shadowclan cats like needle figure it out first- tbh im considering needlepaw specifically tips him off so shes still got some responsibility here but in a “shes clearly being groomed” way)
theres some conflict because the cats want to keep violetkit as a pawn in the prophecy, or use her ghost powers which have begun to bud. but the leader (who is either russetstar or tawnystar, not rowanclaw. theres gonna be a shift there but i havent decided which one), exhausted of the rogues, just lets darktail take her, saying she should be with her family, away from the clans. thunderclan strictly refuses to give up twigkit. this fucks violetkit up even more, because suddenly, NOW keeping her from her family is bad? when this family is not the familiar warmth of her sister, but a manipulative tom with a history of violence, who’s been villainized constantly by her clan? NOW theyre okay with letting her go?
darktail uses this to manipulate her, tell her that the clans discarded him just like they discarded her, how they ruined their family and how they only have each other- he saved her in time, but they cant save twigkit because she’s been corrupted by now.
#i want a moment in the aftermath when blackstars wins ‘’who’s the baby daddy’’ where russet/tawnystar pats violetpaw on the shoulder or head#head#and goes ‘’its ok now. darktail failed to be an honorable warrior. he was all rogue. he couldnt be anything like his father#but YOUVE proved yourself. you carry blackstars legacy better than he ever could. we’re proud of you’’#and violetpaw rejects it. hard. she doesnt want this fucking legacy. she doesnt want to be her grandfather#not when all she knows about him was that he hurt her grandma and father. that her father used his image to hurt her#shes not her father or her grandfather. shes not a warrior or a rogue. shes violetshine and she will break the cycle#razorverse
