After thinking about it for a bit I've decided to suspend updates on my Tumblr. I'm just not really into FFXIV as I used to be, and barring new patch updates, I don't really have much to post anymore. I also noticed many people I followed have pretty much ceased posting as well. I think a lot of us are having a burn out. I am going to continue playing the game (whenever I come back to it) but dedicating myself to gposing/screenshots is just not something I am really interested anymore....at least not enough to warrant an entire dedicated account.

I'll still be posting screenshots on BlueSky to consolidate all my hobbies over there. I won't be deleting this and I'll leave it up for archive purposes or in case Bsky dies and I have to return here. 🤪

Here's February's calendar photo. I'm still unsubbed but I'll probably return to the game next week to do the Valentione's Day event and hopefully be able to squeeze in Little Ladies Day before unsubbing again. Not sure when Patch 7.2 is but hopefully it can rekindle my flame for the game. 😐

We did a map for Wondrous Tails and 2 of the mount tokens dropped because we luckily got to the final room. I ended up just buying the 3rd one for 370k on my Japan alt to just get the mount. Kinda wish I had done this with the pink elephant back in Endwalker but maybe I'll revisit it when Bluemages can go into those maps.

Because of the recent token change announcement, Japanese players have been having a price war trying to sell off the new hair style. I swooped in on my alt and grabbed it for 9 million. Glad I waited it out and didn't spend 20 or 30 million like some people did. 🤣🤣 Glad I don't have to do that stupid Savage WOD. My sub expires in 5 days and I'll probably be taking a break until the Valentione's day event rolls around.

Not sure how everyone I follow does it, but I am absolutely burned out by FFXIV's forced group content. Just a rant below, feel free to skip if you are still enjoying the game.

Whether it's ex trials, cloud chaotic, or even PVP. I am just tired of playing with random people (because all my friends basically quit months/years ago or we just grew apart). I know, seems weird in an MMO right? I feel like my only motivation is the main story (which has been mediocre this expac) and the side content, which has been few and far between buried by all the harder content they have thrown on us. It just makes the whole game not fun and I wish I could unsub for more than 45 days but then I lose my house. 😐 Doesn't help that I can't play for long periods of time rn anyway due to my shoulder recovery. Truly wonder why I continue playing for these 11 years. I think playing Nikki has truly opened my eyes to be able to enjoy an open world exploration game, where battles are fairly easy, and I can collect at my own pace and get cute glams without having to find 7 others to grind and wipe with for hours/days.

I actually ended up cancelling my sub (although I still have 18 days left) and I'll probably take a break through February as I don't expect there to be any new updates until March at this point anyway. Only thing they will be adding is the New Year event coming tomorrow, and the Valentione Day one. I'm still grinding out the cursed PVP series for the outfit and I hate every day of it even though all I am doing is the daily frontline roulette. That alone just makes me want to ALT+F4 lol. 🤣

Starlight is nearly over and it felt so oddly short to me this year, but maybe because I was too focused on my recovery. (Everything hurts. 🥲) I've also been busy playing Infinity Nikki which really gets my glam kick in ways that FFXIV cannot lol. I won't be posting Nikki stuff here but here's a couple Nikki gposes I took 😙
