Part of the Phillips collection auction. Starting a new painting with a new improved length to width ratio for a painter's canvas of 1:1.575 The standard davinci from the golden age 17th century of 1:1.618 is too long. It represents the spiral found in nature but it's too long for a canvas. Nor is the short and stubby A2 or A3 correct for a painting.
