I live across to the town's known dealer, and me and grandma always joke that our dog is out smoking weed when he goes out to bark, like, if we see that he looks annoyed throught the day we say "oh he hasn't had a hit of the devil's lettuce yet" and my aunt, his legal mother says "stop saying that, he goes there because he's a little detective, he's keeping guard, he doesn't smoke weed!!!" and we're like "yeah sure... (◠‿◕)"
#he's an old man too#so we add that he's probably doing it because his knees hurt#btw my town is really small#less than a thousand people live here#so everyone knows everything about everyone#and it's a little bit unnerving

[Siren wailing]... Big pink hawkmoth season is upon us. I repeat, big pink hawkmoth season. This is not a drill.
This is an elephant hawkmoth, warming up its wings & taking off. It's caterpillars are also magnificent chonks, and they eat rosebay willow herb (AKA fireweed in the US I think?) This is a perfect reason to do less weeding. Keep some weeds, get big pink hawkmoths like this one.
