Okay why the hell are people so pressed about adbell??? Why do people hate whimsy?? If you don't like a dumb ship then just block the tags, you're getting yourself mad for no reason "Oh my god youre mischaracterizing them!" So?? We get so little content for either of them that you either redo the same 5 tropes over and over, move onto a different fandom, or explore different ways to portray these characters. Maybe I just have a different fandom background than most people into COD, but changing the characters and making them your own is not a bad thing!! You don't need to be so afraid of it!! Also why post a thing about how much you hate adbell on the adbell tag?? I thought something having an older fan base would mean the fandom is more mature, but clearly not 🙏

Do people just forget that art is about having fun? That people can draw a character vastly far from canon and still enjoy it? Why does everything have to be canon to be enjoyable nowadays??

As much as I shouldn't after being on the internet for YEARS, I find it just impossible to believe that actual people decide to sit down and type out a full complaint about something that they can just scroll pass, that only effects them if THEY LET IT. People have literally forgotten how to just keep scrolling if they dont like something and its to a point of being pathetic. If you dont want to see someone's posts theres a fucking block button, some apps even have a "not interested" feature so you dont get stuff like that on your feed. If you do not like something that is legal and safe, dont comment, dont interact with it, just scroll about your day. That should be common sense.

Be for real, you're whining about an adult fictional man being portrayed in a rainbow light and complaining that it isnt catered to your version of him. Hes a bunch of pixels with a slutty waist who the fuck cares if he wears panties or briefs. Maybe he is a femboy behind closed doors do you REALLY think Call of Duty gives a fuck?

Okay I have one more thing to point out before I'm done posting here for a while

This whole part in that one person's post is obviously about my version of Adler, correct me if I'm wrong. "Changing his whole personality to match some twinkle dinkle femboy" first of all is an insane thing to say in the first place, its the same thing as using "gay" as a derogatory term, and arguably worse considering the terminology used. And I thought this was clear but obviously not, just because my Adler is flamboyant does not mean I think he really is that way canonically. My version of Adler is very far off from cannon, and I am incredibly aware of that. I do like the original version of Adler, but I also like MY version of Adler even if its not at all close to the original. The whole tone of this post just urks me, none of it is to actually be civil, none of it is to actually just be factual, its all out of hatred and most likely ragebait.

"From what I saw its mostly him going with him from one extreme to the other" is another comment I'd like to touch on because I know I do like to experiment with the extremes and considering the fact they obviously were talking about me previously, I think I have every right to assume thats about me as well. I think it's very funny when people complain about the extremes when it comes to artists. Yes, not all art is "extreme" but to me the "extremes" are the interesting part you get to play with especially when playing around with pieces.

I am very aware of how I play around with different characters, how I make them my own and turn them into something I can personally enjoy to the max, I stretch the truth and sometimes forgo the truth entirely. I WASN'T aware that this was such a big issue to some people, I now understand why writers are so afraid of leaving their comfort zone for fear of "mischaracterization". (Not just this poster by the way, originally it was about what ive been seeing in the community in general but since they decided to get more personal because they clearly don't have a job or a life of any sort, it is now directly about them. And yes, while I still have them blocked. And no, I don't care if I'm being hypocritical and immature anymore.)

All this hatred in the community is doing is pushing people away and shutting down creativity, let people enjoy things how they want even if it may seem wrong to you, if its not hurting anyone it shouldn't matter.
