Sometimes, Moon is all we have!
Not every morning is that perfect: folded linens, pillows fluffed up, and laundry hung up for air drying in the sunshine kind of morning; rather, it is dirty laundry on your bathroom floor, a blanket twisted, and pillows scattered on the bed. I have always been peculiar about my morning routine and daily chores. Still, since my baby turned one, I sometimes intentionally let him sleep through his…

Motherhood: A journey of healing and exploration.
The concept of Motherhood isn’t essentially about sacrificing yourself for your baby. Taking care of yourself in the first place isn’t selfishness, rather it is the most important thing to do if you analyse things from the futuristic perspective. Taking care of yourself is the first thing that you could actually do for your baby and most importantly, for your own well-being. Motherhood comes…

Where shall the broken hearts go: A poetry of unrequited love.
Where shall the broken hearts go Who have been told to let go Of the agony and destruction Caused by shallow souls that met On the subways and crossroads. Shadows on the moonlit walls They say you would forget it all What they never told however They too possess the aching souls Like tea stains on a diary page Love once done can never fade The shrapnels from a hand grenade If taken…

A winter tale.
Crisp winter breeze in the morning making love with the golden fallen leaves as I watch them from the foggy window, while the kettle on the stove whistles passionately. It’s the love that makes the dead fallen leaves rise high, yet giving them another chance to breathe before they take their final plunge of sleep, into the dewy grass.

An Ode to Evening.
And evening, trust me it belongs to all of us differently. Evening is not a timeframe but an emotion that we all feel in our own way. Clinking champagne glasses, crimson ball gown with pearls and tassels, burning cigarettes, bubble bath, kissing in the golden hour, waiting in an empty restaurant, smoking weed, burning desires, chasing sunsets, tuning in the favourite song and dancing by the…

Remember that morning when you woke up and looked yourself up in the mirror. Your hair scattered in the air and eyes plump from crying the whole night? How did the void sound to you? When you knew there won’t be a text from the one you talked to for a million hours of your life. Tell me that morning your forlorn eyes and shattered soul stood stagnant right in front of that same mirror that…

Like a pouring night of December, first love can never be forgotten, he told me with a glimmer in his eyes. Was he lying to me all along? Or did my delusional mind fail to comprehend the naked truth shining bright in that moment of dancing ecstasy; He was just being honest. -The Art of Lying and Misconceptions.

Capsules of Memories.
We all have our struggle! A series of unfortunate events and thriving hard to survive them is how we describe life nowadays. Busy in getting our gigs done and devoting our lives to a single cause, that is where we tend to forget is that life is the name of breathing, and living every moment to its fullest. It is a worthwhile experience, not a frame of time in which we contain ourselves like a…

Life: A beautiful semblance of experience and memories.
Life surprises you, doesn’t it? A moment ago you were thinking about something and now you want something legit pole opposite. A beautiful semblance of experiences and memories, life is all about changing preferences and evolving priorities and this is totally fine. A month ago, the only mission of this girl was to avail a foreign scholarship and fly past the globe to wander in the wet evening…

“It was October again…a glorious October, all red and gold, with mellow mornings when the valleys were filled with delicate mists as if the spirit of autumn had poured them in for the sun to drain - amethyst, pearl, silver, rose, and smoke-blue. The dews were so heavy that the fields glistened like cloth of silver and there were such heaps of rustling leaves in the hollows of many-stemmed woods to run crisply through.”

It's okay not to be okay.
It’s okay not to be okay.
“If we could look into each other’s hearts and understand the unique challenges each of us faces, I think we would treat each other more gently, with more love, tolerance and care.” — Marvin. J. Ashton
Our life is a bitter sweet semblance of different phases. At one time we are extremely energetic and creativity diffuses in our veins like an ink drop in the sparkling water. However, it is very…

the signs as french expressions
Aries: Après moi, le deluge - “after me, the flood”, something thought to have been said to Louis XV by his mistress Madame de Pompadour, implying an indifference to what (damage) happens after you are gone, a disregard for the consequences of your life.
Taurus: Plus ca change… (plus c'est la même chose) - “the more things change, the more they remain the same”, a way to express disillusion or defeat in regards to how things always stay the same at their core, even though things change.
Gemini: Savoir-faire - “know (what to) do”, the quality of being capable to handle any situation with grace, having mastered adaptability and ingenuity.
Cancer: Enfant terrible  - “unruly child”, refers to someone (often a child or one of childish spirit) who, by being overly candid and untimely in behavior, embarrasses and shocks their surroundings.
Leo: Roi fainéant - “do-nothing king”, an expression for a king with no (real) power, a play-king left to his riches, vanities and dissipations.
Virgo: Le mot juste - “the exact word”, coined by Flaubert, searching for le mot juste is the tireless and hopeless effort in finding the perfect word to describe something, to fix the unfixable.
Libra: Cherchez la femme - “look for/seek the woman”, a presumption that if a man is acting strangely, out of character, or inexplicably—there’s always a woman lying behind it.
Scorpio: L’appel du vide - “the call of the void”, being plagued by intrusive thoughts of destructive nature, feeling momentarily drawn to demise.
Sagittarius: Esprit d’escalier - “staircase wit”, the frustrating phenomenon of coming up with the perfect observation or comeback after the opportunity to use it has passed.
Capricorn: Nostalgie de la boue  - “mud nostalgia”, a desire or yearning for what is depraved, degrading or crude.
Aquarius:  Poète maudit - “doomed poet”, used to describe the fate of the great poet, who is doomed to obscurity and to live as an outcast to, or against the world.
Pisces:  Flâneur - “stroller”, a leisurely wanderer of city streets, an aesthete and observer of life.

Gothic Fiction: A Direct Imitation of Reality?
Gothic Fiction: A Direct Imitation of Reality?
Gothic fiction is a whole mood. I mean I just finished reading Edgar Allan Poe which included one of his enchanting poem, The Raven and bewitching short story, Tell-tale Heart. I wont lie but they left me awe-struck and I definitely recommend you all to give them a read, especially now that the October is here and the nights are getting colder. They would serve as an enthralling bed-time reads…

A day of October 1st.
A day of October 1st.
It was like a breath of fresh air, the golden October. Cider mills started whistling again in the countryside, crushing and grinding the fresh apples and turning them into the magical elixir for the crisp, golden season at the hand. Pumpkin patches were bejeweled with ripe, bright tangerine winter squashes and a crowd of locals swarmed in by noon to get their hands on the best one.
People were…

Charles Bukowski: “I've never been lonely. I've been in a room -- I've felt suicidal. I've been depressed. I've felt awful -- awful beyond all -- but I never felt that one other person could enter that room and cure what was bothering me...or that any number of people could enter that room.

Blank Spaces.
Have you ever looked up in the sky, all plain and blue and wondered how overwhelmingly enormous the cosmos is? We, humans, are inherently wild, yet enormity somehow has a terrifying effect on our natural instincts. One can meet a million people throughout the day, yet upon recalling how many people one actually knows could be overwhelming.
A blank white canvas, standing errect in an artist’s…
