cattails are actually a weed, they can grow anywhere I've seen them by body of water mostly. these plants are actually my mom's favorite plant. I remember when I was little I would use scissors to cut one for her on her birthday,, they are a perfect gift also if cut correctly and takin care of well they can be replanted. these plants also have extremely cool health properties like they can help prevent cancer, they have properties in them that can help fight off possible cancerous cells to help prevent gaining cancer. these plants also help with preventing anemia. these plants are known for being rich with antiseptic properties. this is sometimes used as a natural remedy for women while going threw menstruation to help with discomfort and flow. this plant can be crushed to a fine powder and made into a cream to help with any skin irritations such as boils, acne, scratches, hives, breakouts and even help with older scars to help promote smooth healing help the scar fade.

parsley facts

     yes, I know you have heard of parsley before it is used as a spice and seasoning. parsley is a member of the Umbelliferae family. this family group also includes celery, carrots, dill, cilantro, cumin, and poisonous hemlock.no one really knows where this tasty plant originated from. The most used types of this plant are the flat and curly leaf. the flat-leaf parsley is normally considered Italian.

     ancient Romans love parsley the ancient greeks believed that parsley sprung from the blood of the hero schemes after killing a dragon greeks used by parsley as funeral wreaths in garlands for the winners. there used to be a greek saying if you say your enemy's name while plucking a piece of parsley it can and will bring upon the death of your enemies. 

     it is said that those pregnant women are not supposed to eat parsley because of it being uterine and can sned pregnant into early labor. two teaspoons of parsley contain 153% of the recommended daily value of vitamins K. 2 tablespoons of parsley are only 3 calories parsley can be used as a natural breath freshener parsley is told to be toxic to birds.

pineapple fruit facts

      Pineapples they are such a tasty treat. perfect for hot summers and you need something to eat to help you cool off from a long day in the sun. they are even delicious in winter when used to cook the most delicious and outgoing foods for a Christmas dinner just dinner in general. these amazing fruits come all the way from Paraguay and brazil. this fruit is indigenous to South America. they are known worldwide many places love pineapple and are even claimed as the most eaten fruit or very popular. not only are they known for the wonderful and watery sweet flavor they are known for their aesthetic. 

     this fruit has been around for decades the first-ever pineapple dates back to 1398. Christopher Columbus took the fruit back to Europe in 1493. now this fruit is widespread across the whole world. pineapples are loved s much there is a state considered the pineapple state called Hawaii. some places have pineapple farms to help produce enough fruit to be widespread around the world for people to eat. pineapple is very praised fruit because not only are they good as a meal or snack they are used for beauty products an put in drinks pineapples have many uses.

      growing pineapples isn't a hard job. you just half to understand how to take care of them and make sure they grow healthy. what you do is put the crown of pineapple into the ground but make sure it is dried first. once the fruit is harvested it doesn't ripen anymore it stays as is. pineapples can only be grown from one plant one time in a single season. a pineapple can take up to 3 years of growing and becoming a fully mature plant ready for the pick and be sent off and eaten. hopefully, these facts give you more of a different perspective on pineapples instead of just yummy, yellow, and aesthetically pleasing.

Lucifer plant

        The lucifer plant a very interesting name but it also goes by crocosmia. this wonderful plant is from the Plantae kingdom its in the Iridaceae family. their sub-family is lxioideae in the lxiea tribe. these flowers have relations with many different species of plants. they can be evergreen or deciduous perennials that can grow basal underground witch I found very interesting. these plants are plantable in America and Ohio. if they are well taken care of they can last all year round to several years thanks to some of their evergreen qualities.

      This plant is normally easy to point out was your ability to remember what this flower looks like. this plant is very easy to point out when it comes to colors. they have colorful inflorescence of 4 to 20 vivid red and orange subopposite flowers distractedly branched on the stem. it has a very vibrant color red that varies in how bright it may be determining the part of the flower focused on. they have alternative leaves that are called cauline and ensiform witch is a fancy word for sword shaped. the style of their branches is apically forked. 

     these plants become pollinated as well. the species that pollinate these flowers are insects , birds ( favored by hummingbirds) or even the wind. an alternative name is montbretia it is commonly used while not being used the lucifer plant. that name comes from the greeks words kokos. meaning saffron and some meaning “odor” from the dried leaves emitting a strong smell like that saffron.

poinsettia flowers facts will drive you mad!

poinsettia flowers I'm sure you have seen these wonderful bright red flowers threw your everyday life, but not growing in gardens or up and down streets, but as decorations. these are normally seen as decorations throughout thanksgiving and Christmas. these flowers are not bland they actually have a lot of secrets about them. they can cause illnesses and even death to dogs and animals. these plants are produced in every 50 states but these are mostly produced in California. 80 percent of these plants are bought by females. 

this plant requires 12 hours of darkness every day and 12 hours of light every day as well 5 days in a row to keep the bright and vibrant color od red.  Because of the brilliant red coloring in the bracts of the Poinsettia, it is also sometimes referred to as the flame-leaf flower and the lobster flower.  In the United States, the preferred color of Poinsettias is red but in other parts of the world pink and white are favored. To the Aztec Indians, the Poinsettia represented a symbol of purity and they called them Cuetlaxochitl.

Throughout history, the Poinsettia has been used for more than just its beauty. The Aztecs used the latex to help reduce fevers and the bracts to make red dye. The Poinsettia is from the Euphorbiaceae family which is known to produce a milky, white sap. Because the sap contains latex, people with a latex allergy may experience slight reactions after handling or ingesting the leaves of the plant. Once the bracts have reached full color the more sunlight they get the brighter and more vibrant the colors will be.

Aloe is known as the united states number one medical herb used in the united states. aloe has been shown to help aid in many different things one of them is to aid in weight loss and contribute to a stable healthy diet. the aloe plant will only flower annually if properly cared for.

 hummingbirds enjoy the nectar that the aloe plant naturally produces causing these birds to often visit this interesting plant. the known Egyptian Cleopatra used aloe vera all over her body as part of her beauty regimen. Native Americans referred to the plant as “the wand of heaven” because of its multitude and benefits. 

the origins of this plant are very shocking but yet extremely interesting. this plant is found originally from Sudan which is a very humid and dry place. this plant thrives better in arid dry climates, it's a desirable environment for this plant species to flourish properly. Africa has the greatest amount of species when it comes to aloe plant5s.

Succulent facts that’ll suck you in

succulents an interesting plant. they don't really look much like one or if they are even real but I promise they are. succulents come in a variety of different shapes, colors, and sizes. the word succulent is a loose term for plants with fleshy parts such as leaves, stems, or roots that can store moisture to tolerate drought. they bloom every 10-15 years. Aloe is a succulent plant. their are over 250 different kinds of aloe plants. cacti is a succulent. I bet you didn't see that one coming. well its true and something even cooler about cacti being a succulent is that they also make up more than 1,300 of the succulent population  according to birds and bloom and their article “ 7 surprising facts about succulents”. That's completely crazy I know! but I promise its true cacti are a large portion of the succulent community.

succulents are not verry picky on how they are planted as long as they have what they need to survive you can literally almost plant succulent plants anywhere. you can range from planting them in a birdcage,  small toy truck or even a teacup. succulents have so many things about them that not only make a good plant but they can create a beautiful aesthetic to your home or yard. their are so many different kinds theirs at least a different kind of succulent for each person and plant them to your liking creating it to your own style so basically, not many succulent is planted and looks the same making them perfect for your own unique style. 

maybe now that you learned a few things about these amazing and interesting plants you can own one yourself. decorate your home, bedroom or garden with them. they are such amazing plants that bring such beauty to the world. so when you go and pick yourself one up now you know a little more about these plants so you can pick out the perfect one and at least have a good idea on how and where you will plant them. tree facts that will make your head bloom

when you think of cherry blossom trees you think big pink trees, and technically your not entirely wrong these trees are known well for being humungous trees. but I bet you don't know anything interesting about these trees. these trees are known for many things and a lot of the facts that are mindblowing.for starters when you think of trees you think years and years well these trees cant live as long as others these trees only live up to 16-20 years before dying. the average life span of trees is around 100-200 years old. each species of this tree does have different life spans tho. the black cherry trees can live up to 250  years before dying.

did you know you can get arrested for taking a pretty flower off this tree? what in the world that's shocking isn't it? it's stated in Washington D.C if you pull a blossom off a tree you can risk getting a citation or arrested as it is controlled as their public property and can be considered vandalism. its considered vandalism of federal property. Insane I know. so maybe next time you see one of these beauties admire.

did you know these trees petals are completely edible? well, they are 100 percent edible. these petals are used even for some foods. there is even a cherry blossom ice cream. that is insane sounding. an ice cream made from a tree itself. it is actually a very popular flavor. these petals are also used for the U.S most popular and best-selling fragrance in perfume. cherry blossoms are not only beautiful but they are useful and hold many interesting facts and history. so next time you see one maybe you can appreciate it more than just for its beauty.

cacti facts that'll stick you

cactus or cacti if we are talking about more that one. when you think of the cactus you think green spikey plant. you're not wrong it is a spikey plant but those pointy things that hurt you are actually called glochids. I know that's a really weird name for some kind of spikes. ill be honest I couldn't even pronounce this word right. but these painful little guys are actually a very important part of these plants survival. the glochids are the plant's defensive mechanism against predators that will try and eat the plant or just destroy it. these plants have plenty of amazing features to them and when you ask some people will say the flowers that grow on them or possibly you might hear someone say the fruit. yah that's right you read that right I promise you. fruit it grows on a cactus how amazing a shocking is that. not just any kind of fruit the best kind my favorite kind. dragon fruit it can be made an used in a lot of different ways fresh, put in water, made as a fancy drink or dessert. dragon fruit gets its name from the color. wanna know something else really cool about this plant its consider a succulent. suck-you-lint that's how you pronounce it anyways, this plant can hold its ground threw out varies of different weather and temperatures. they mostly grow or are sen in sandy a dessert-like areas but not for the heat its for the soil, in the dessert it gets extremely cold at night so these plants learn to adapt to the temperatures threw out the days. these amazing plants can also hold up water inside of them. nice and fresh. when you think of a water container, flask or cup and how much each of these things can hold think of the cactus. they are a great source of water and hydration when it comes down to it. well, I hope these amazing facts about these very popular plants stick with you for a while. see you all in my next blog!

sunflowers and why they are interesting

sunflowers well what can i say well more like where do i start? These flowers are amazing and are sometimes underestimated for their look of being pretty or the yummy snacks you may get sunflower seeds, They are salty but a good treat! 

They have many different uses, they are used for food, plants and decor. Their are also a bunch of different types then just the plain old yellow sunflower you think about when you think of the well known sunflower. They also don’t just grow in certain a place they are even able to grow in small an confined places. sunflowers help produce oils for things we use in every day life, from seeds to butter,  beauty creams and lots more! This isn’t even the start of how cool these annual plants really are! 

They bring a calming vibe from their bright and loud colors witch makes them so easy to spot out. their is a state that is sometimes known as the sunflower state because their is so many that grow, Kansas! supersizing right i know what a random state to be named after some random flower. well these flowers are more then just pretty and bright. stay tuned for my next post and we can go into detail on how amazing these flowers really are!
