zayne longingly gazes at jaemin when he doesnt receive a quick giggle and dismissive comment like most times. he could see the cog wheels turning in that beautiful little head of his. he wasn't sure why jaemin was always so hesitant to accept his offer for a date but he had his guesses- namely the struggles and consequences that accompanied any idol for dating. a problem zayne thought could easily be explained away. what idol isnt always being followed around by a cameraman after all? however that small glimmer of hope is soon snatched away. zayne's eye twitches upon hearing jaemins answer. he couldn't tell whether jaemin was truly this thick or just pretending to be. hes sort of hoping the former. "no thats..." he pauses. "yanno what? i'll take it." at least then he had one foot in the door.

jaemin knew it was coming yet it didn’t stop the slight surprise every time. maybe he was haunted by the memories of getting asked out as a joke when he was in school and maybe there was some sincerity in zayne’s words but it was hard to tell. “a date?” he repeated, his words echoing in his mind as he tried to figure out the tone in them. despite it all, there was that look in the videographer’s eyes that had him second guessing his intentions. “oh, you want me to return the favor by buying you a meal?” he asked. minnie felt as though he was missing something, lost in translation or ‘dense’ as hyeona would call him. it kind of irked him, only because he knew she was right. sometimes. “i can do that. whatever you want.”

"of course. anything for you." not a hint of sarcasm in his voice as he said it. zayne kneels down next to the table, his elbows resting on it with his hands balled up into fist tucked under his chin as he gazes up at the idol with a grin. he loved the pretty pink hue on the other mans cheeks. it's no wonder he always feels compelled to flirt with him even if he knows jaemin has no interest in reciprocating. the thought of missing his shot was more daunting than embarrassing himself. "pay me back? hmm~" zayne thinks about it for a moment. he had no interest or desire for anything as simple as money. "sure. how about a date?" he suggests as an alternative.

jaemin could feel the familiar heat rising up to his cheeks and he was sure he pink colored the skin there. it was a normal reaction when it came to zayne however he always felt embarrassed that the videographer affected him so easily when he could just be messing with him. the thought of giving in only to be laughed at and teased was horrifying. “i’ll take the-“ he was interrupted by the cool cream being smudged on his nose, blinking in surprise before he offered his own giggle; albeit a nervous one. “i’ll take the caramel one. if that’s okay.” he finished shyly as he pulled his sleeve over his hand to wipe at his nose. minnie wasn’t sure how to respond to the flirty line directed at him, he adverted his gaze down to his iced coffee, clearly flustered. “um — i can pay you back for the drinks.”

"yes it does." zayne huffs, mimicking how out of breath jian clearly was. however that small give away does bother him. it meant the idol was either nearing the end of his little gym session and he'd missed precious footage...or the other was just really out of shape that the tiniest bit of effort exhausted him. yikes. "yanno~ seeing others scurry away is a bit of a compliment. it means they know i always get the best dirt on people and honestly i take pride in the views i'm able to rake in." he says proudly. it was always hit clips he saw circulating on social media after all. "so can we re-do the introduction without the cursing. try to look a little less miserable and get rid of the resting bitch face if thats even possible." he instructs.

jian hated working out. loathed it even. however he knew he had to, his staff always insisted on it. and when he suggested he could go to the ice rink more often they refused, something about such activity not counting. whatever that meant. though he could admit they were right when they said he needed to keep up his stamina building — phoenix’s choreography wasn’t for the weak. so the vocalist needed them off his ass and he begrudgingly forced himself to step foot into infinite’s gym. luckily there wasn’t anyone here, no judging straying eyes to watch him. until that familiar yet grating voice broke through the music playing through his airpods and he knew he was done for. taking one of the buds out, jian groaned in annoyance as he stopped the leg exercise he was doing. “oh for fuck’s sake, not you.” he huffed, ignoring how breathless his words were. “just because everyone runs from you doesn't mean you can bother me.”

after hours of recording lackluster material, zayne was ready to call it a day. but he had one more stop on his list to hit before he could clock out. that way he could tell his boss there really wasn't anything entertaining enough to air and this time it wouldn't be a lie. he pushes the gym door open and walks in, his camera already recording in time to catch jian carrying out a workout by himself. "oh look...jian finally chose not to skip leg day." he teased, zooming on the idols flushed and sweaty face. "say 'hi.'" @jianlol

"ooooohhhh~ my twitchy witchy boy. i think you are so nice. i give you bowls of porridge and i give you bowls of ice creammm!!!" zayne sings to jaemin as he came swaying in with two large drinks in his hands. "now i offer a matcha latte with oat milk or a caramel iced coffee." he says, setting them down on the table to the side. "both of them with extra whipped cream." zayne adds on, grabbing a small dab of the sugary substance with his index finger and gently smearing it on the tip of jaemin's nose. "but you look even more delectable. why weren't you on the menu?" he giggles.

ngl im mostly just winging it bc i wanted a shiny new toy and i had a slot to fill saurrrrr....hes very much a work in progress but i shall be fleshing him out as i go. in the mean time he's what i have.

zayne went to film school and worked on a lot of small projects. he uploaded a few videos online that gained quite a bit of views but otherwise he doesn't have much experience

honestly no one is sure how he landed a gig at infinite since he wasn't the most qualified to work on the cam crew when the company started up their reality show idea

rumor has it he has family higher up in the ranks which is why he got the job so quickly out of school. nepotism babyyyy. zayne has declined to confirm or deny hehe

But it’s true. The CEO is his uncle on this mother’s side. And his father works for Samsung. He’s RICH rich but he does flaunt it. He is mostly seen wearing plain tshirts with jeans and scuffed shoes that he refuses to throw out.
