originally born with a silver spoon in gangnam, south korea ( cheongdam-dong district, to be exact ) to a family of old money chaebols. the middle child.

with parents that were too focused on themselves and their careers ( mother climbing the ladder in the entertainment world and later becoming a cj enm director and shareholder && father becoming the executive director of asan medical center / hospital ), aera was pawned off, akin to the same fashion as her older brother, at the age of two to be raised by her dotty, outgoing uncle in manhattan.

a child that struggled with healthily expressing her emotions, yet had an abundance of energy — so, after multiple failed methods, aera was put into dance lessons. that was how aera learned to release her emotions instead of letting them accumulate. by now, she has learned to use her words. there are times when she struggles !

found her place with contemporary and hip-hop dance. became inspired by popular pop artists such as britney spears, lady gaga, and beyoncé ( to name a few ), as well as early kpop idols such as lee hyori and boa. it was boa that inspired her the most to pursue wanting to be more than a dancer in a dance group after school.

moving back to korea years later felt jarring, but with the "support" of her parents ( enrolling her in more dance lessons, along with vocal lessons ) when they felt settled enough to parent their children, aera once again found her footing.

it is rumored that her parents sponsored her to eventually debut in braveheart, taking the spot of another deserving trainee. neither she nor the label has ever addressed the circulating rumor, causing netizens to form their own opinions.

known for giving people whiplash with her personality and behavior. one minute she's lively, bubbly, full of herself and the next she's speaking without a filter, being rebellious, or randomly getting up to something she shouldn’t be doing. a sour candy.

given the nature of her family ( ahem, connections in the entertainment industry ), people don't fully believe her story of being street cast — especially when she was already making a name for herself as a figure skater.

huiseok looks just like his father. even if he didn’t already think so himself, more and more as he gets older, he hears it often enough that it must be true. he thinks maybe it’s their way of comforting him, but it’s been years and his dad lives on in his mirror; in the pictures that cover their family home; in the comments that people leave under everything he does, good or bad. he lives. and sometimes, when huiseok has a particularly rough day, when the people around him go out of their way to make him feel like he’s as good as wearing his father’s skin, he kind-of hates him for it and then hates himself for hating him for it. all of the best things that huiseok has wouldn’t even /be/ his, if it weren’t for the industry “in” he’d had by virtue of his parentage. he’s gong hanwook and choi sunhui’s only son, the sole carrier-on of his father’s legacy, and that means something. it means everything, actually. he starts young, a fresh face on a children’s show, a child in the presence of adults who make all the decisions for him. he’s cute and he’s charming, and obedient in the way that all introverted little kids tend to be. he takes direction like a champ and they decide, before the velcros are even off his shoes, that he’ll be a star. he is his father’s son. mercifully, they give him his youth, and it’s of his own volition that he comes back into the industry, first through acting and then, finally, through music. becoming a member of indigo feels like the first thing that he ever really does on his own. with acting, he’s a name and a face, but as a member of a group…okay, he’s still a face, but he has his merit, too; his voice, his dancing, his words. that much feels true. for a while, at least — and, for years, it is. he does “music” and takes on acting roles when time allows to appease the tiny voice in his head that still, always, wants to make his father proud. his father dies in an “accident” in late 2019 during the early unfolding of a scandal. huiseok does not take it well and neither do his father’s fans. he feels suffocated. people are a lot more forgiving than he deserves when he lashes out about it. there’s headlines about him partying, getting belligerently drunk and causing scenes that are only ever documented through hearsay, the year after it happens and people respond with pity. he’s a boy without his father, afterall. he’s 22 and that ship has long sailed, but he lets them think that they understand what things were like between them. it’s complicated and, more than that, none of their business. maybe it’s guilt, a sense of obligation (the persistence of millions of middle-aged women who want to relive their glory days,) or just time that leads huiseok back onto the screen. he couldn’t tell you for sure himself, but his big return to acting following the passing of his father is a major role on a drama. the comments are about what he expects him to be, but he learns to tune out the part of his brain that aches with the comparisons and copes with the money he rakes in from brand deals, more roles, growing publicity, higher demand; the lucrativity of a pretty face - his father’s face. it makes his mother happy. his father, Gong Hanwook, is a household name, an actor who rose to fame in the early 90s, first through a popular drama and then eventually for his visuals and multiple roles in deeply culturally impactful movies and media. there was a point in time where he was more or less the equivalent of a brad pitt, a tom cruise or a leonardo dicaprio in hollywood and, to this day, he's always a part of the "great actors of south korea" conversation. his wife, huiseok's mother, Choi Sunhui is a retired supermodel who rose to prominence around the same time as his father with a career more comprable to a devon aoki or a kate moss in terms of iconography. her star has faded some, but she's still someone that young women look up to for visual inspiration and it's fairly often that pictures of her modeling, and even off-duty, in the late 90s early 00s go viral. huiseok was always closer with his mother than he was his father and that really only worsened as he got older, tossed into the spotlight, and people began to compare the two of them visually. his father's passing unearthed a lot of really complicated emotions about this and coming to terms with those emotions has been one of his more complex points of development

he trained for six months, haters speculate that it's because the company was eager to push him after news of him signing with them dropped to capitalize on his name, but fans argue that he was just that talented upon arrival — the truth lies somewhere in the middle.

every now and then, a cover he did of grind on me by pretty ricky when he was like 17 makes its rounds through the fandom. people argue about it being spread because he was a minor and the subject matter is objectively super suggestive but others say it's funny, so it's something people fight about for forty days and forty nights whenever a new gongdoongie unearths the clip again lol

despite his focus these days being on his acting and honoring his father's legacy (and self-promo tbr...), he posts cover (dance and vocal) videos to the group's official youtube channel every now and then. he's also, in the last year or so, opened up a youtube channel of his own, but it's heavily curated and a lot more focused in Gong Huiseok the brand and legacy than it is on gong huiseok, the guy

huiseok went out on a limb during their relationship and said the quiet part out loud, while muse, either unprepared for the seriousness of a love confession, hung up on another lover or not ready to say it at all, left him hanging. it’s not easy to be the first one to say the l-bomb, and after taking a chance on their relationship, only for muse not to say it back, huiseok ended things, ego bruised, but head held high. years on, wounds healed and seeing each other being an inevitability considering how small their world is, huiseok is willing to pursue a friendship. forreal this time. it’s just that… old habits are so hard to break, aren’t they?

in their rookie days, reckless and, quite frankly, cynical, huiseok and this muse went out on the town and made quite an event of things. so much of an event that pictures leaked onto forums and started quite the conversation. the only problem is that, in all of the commotion, muse wound up being the only one to take the heat. things were never quite the same after that. it’s been ages and huiseok wishes they could just move on, but that’s really easy for him to say.

something about this muse breathes life into huiseok's drearier days, they’re a breath of fresh air at the end of a particularly rough work schedule, and a warm reprieve from the coldness of the industry. it’s impractical to see each other all the time, but huiseok makes it a point to see them as often as possible. with no siblings and his mother constantly on the go, it feels nice to have someone that feels as good as blood in his corner and he hopes that, in some way, he makes them feel that way, too.

huiseok and this muse have been hooking up pretty regularly, both content to keep things mainly transactional while they blow off steam but the more time they spend together, the more they find they have in common. and what’s worse, they’ve started working together now, too.

huiseok and this muse are industry rivals, filling a close enough niche in the market that it causes constant comparisons between the two of them. fortunately, (or unfortunately, depending on who you ask,) the rivalry translates into a beef that’s withstood both the test of time and petty match-ups during variety show specials. they pretend to get along to keep things from flying into a media shitstorm, but if they were anything but celebrities, it would probably be on-sight.

huiseok overheard a conversation in the waiting room of a music show that put a bad taste in his mouth. now, he looks at this muse with something half-way between disdain and confusion. for muse’s part, they don’t have the slightest clue what could have caused this animosity and have taken to believing that the rumors of huiseok being cold and difficult to approach behind the scenes are true. on both ends, this is all a terrible misunderstanding, but it’s hard to clear up when neither of them has a clue in the world what the other’s problem even is.

someone who initially hated huiseok for being the kid who got put into the lineup through connections, not merit, but has come to understand him a lot better due to their forced proximity over the years - he’s still kind of a brat who got into the group with an unfair advantage, but he’s more than proved himself a capable and valuable member of the team (more than likely an indigo member but i’m open to exploring other idols having some initial wariness about his relatively easier path to debut)

someone who saw huiseok through his spiral in 2019 following his father’s passing; they offered him a reliable shoulder to cry on, someone to come to when everything felt like too much, a genuine friendship, and usually cleaned him up after his benders. huiseok loves and respects this person, and has spent the years since paying all of their love back

they’ve done a special stage together (award show, music show, any of the gayos)

FAMILY/EARLY LIFE

• jaemin was born in busan on september 28, 1999

• he’s always been closer to his dad while having an okay relationship with his mom

• it wasn’t until a year a after she had his sister that she parted ways from them. it wouldn’t be until jaemin was older that he was told she left because she wanted to find herself and be happy again and for the most part, he understood. however he was still upset

• he saw how much it impacted his dad and the way he lived for a while; couldn’t eat or sleep, just work the days away while jaemin had to step in to take care of his younger sister at 7 years old

• it took most of his youth away, not having much time for his friends outside of school or dance classes

• he was enrolled in dance classes at 5 years old and it was one of the things that kept him going after his mom’s departure even if he had to miss it sometimes but it was an escape, a passion that made him feel at ease

• his dad had got back on his feet when minnie became a teenager though and that was when he knew his efforts were worth it seeing the smile back on his face

INDIGO

• he was scouted after doing some dance busking on the street when he was 15 and being as indecisive as he is, it took him a while to agree

• minnie couldn’t, shouldn’t leave his dad and sister behind ! what if his dad slipped through their fingertips again, what would happen to his sister ?

• but it was the endless encouragements from the two most important people in his life that pushed him to do it and who was he to say no to them ?

• so he began his training at new star entertainment and his dancing only got better however vocal and rap training were difficult for him

• he’s never gave much thought to singing, much less rapping so it took some time before he deemed himself decent — which was much after his trainers did

• eventually he came to debut at 17 and he was v shy with the cameras and fans and just the general spotlight at first

• what was the biggest obstacle was becoming one of the younger members even though he was the oldest at home so being treated as such from fans and the older members was definitely a shock and something to get used to

• but he tolerates it better than before and keeps taking care of the members. it kinda helps with the homesickness and how he was so used to being there for his sister

• i view minnie’s dancing as smooth and sensual and clean with contemporary being his strong suit but he adapts to other styles as well

her mother and father divorced when she was 10 years old, her mother is an actress and her father is a korean-american music producer. they met bc he moved to korea to work on an upcoming group

she lived in gwangju until she was 5 but often visits her grandparents, her satoori has stayed due to this and she's proud of it.

her parents did one of those baby tv shows so she was in the public eye at a young age.

from age 9 - 12 in a few popular drama's. mainly at the pushing off her parents. so when the divorce came, it was messy (mainly on her dad's side) and very public. finally, the cord was cut and her father went back to america. they've only talked on the phone a few times, he sends money and gifts but they don't have a relationship.

her mom threw herself into work and was barely around, deeming sienna old enough to fend for herself.

her mom never really wanted kids so jisoo was able to be a wild child for a bit (still is sorta)

she faded from the spotlight and developed her interest more, jisoo always liked attention so becoming an idol was her new goal. in trying out her skills, she was a good performer and leaned well into rap and dance but she doesn't consider herself a horrible vocalist.

she was 15 when she joined the company, after calming down her ways a bit

she joined a company and there were red flags but her debut came fast! due to lack of funds, they had to build the group themselves really and the company banked on her former fame. her training period had only been six months

honestly, the group didn't do horrible but there were long breaks between comebacks and then it came out the company was a front for money laundering.

they disbanded when she was 17, so a good two year run

wild child bloomed then, more partying, drinking and smoking. at one point she had dreams but now she was aimless, doing what she could to get attention with no goals.

this was channeled into making her own music but it's not something she shared, she still enjoyed busking and dancing and hanging out in the 'underground' scene but it amounted to nothing

the adults around her didn't care and those that would, jisoo was good at putting up a front

she's an out-going girl, maybe a little desperate to be liked at times. she doesn't manage her anger well in that it she bottles it up until it explodes on the right or wrong perso

she was 19 when she finally moved to japan to be with her father and his new family and it just did not go well at all, jisoo didn't change, she was burden to him and by the time she was 21, she was back in seoul

she passed her audition due to twisted luck, her father was a tiger dad and kind of delusional. he had her join acting, singing and dancing classes at a young age on the chance she would get scouted by a talent agency due to her looks. at first she thought it was annoying and unnecessary but soon realized sometimes you have to be delulu!

she became a trainee at vibe productions and bid her parents farewell as she moved to south korea on her own. her main focus was korean classes since she was at a beginner level and spoke with an american accent — the one thing her dad didn't consider was the talent agency being from his homeland

after finding out she was pregnant, she decided to move in with her aunt and they would raise bomin together.

his mother didn't know the father, so she reached out to every rich client she had & got as much money as she could so she could try and give her child the life she'd never had.

from a young age, he showed an affinity for music.

when he entered school, he joined any musical extracurricular they had available. he was a natural at everything music related.

he eventually began busking at 13 to earn some extra money for his mom and aunt.

he was approached by a scout for a relatively unknown company, he at first thought it was a scam but after some encouragement from his aunt he decided to take the scout up on his offer.

he trained for five years at this company, even dropping out of school to focus on training while working.

in 2012 when he was 18 he debuted in a six member group named apollo (based on b.a.p, daehyun vc) where he was the main vocalist & face of the group.

his group quickly gained massive success and put their company on the map.

bomin had a massive issue with sasaengs during the height of his success, but his company refused to take action because "any press was good press"

the company became greedy and withheld pay from him and his members, paying them next to nothing for the work they had put in.

however, in 2014, the six members filed a lawsuit against their company saying their company had not paid them.

the group entered a hiatus until 2015 and eventually a settlement was reached, but bomin still decided to leave the group.

he floated around different entertainment companies for three years, attempting a solo debut that gained little to no attention.

bomin had become bitter and jaded about the industry. he was always angry and could never seem to calm down.

he eventually began to abuse cocaine, which didn't help his anger but certainly distracted him enough to prevent his anger from coming out.

he periodically released music on soundcloud, but never anything else.

he was living off the settlement from the lawsuit and the bit of money he had earned from his solo career until early 2023, when it began to run out due to his addiction and lavish lifestyle.

bomin decided to reenter the industry, but not as an idol, as a vocal coach. he figured he had enough experience to help guide the new generation of idols down the right path while providing them top tier vocal training.

he reached out to infinite during their tour and was hired during it, he stayed back for a good majority of it but was spotted with idols a lot during the final leg.

kit is an older muse of mine but as it's been years i'm just going to be feeling him out through character development as time goes on. sorry for the one million words... feel free to skip to the TLDR / tidbits section. the important stuff is there!

EARLY LIFE -- TEEN YEARS ;

jiseok was an only child for the first handful of years of his life. in those first few years, his parents bounced around jobs, and they lived in a run down, one-room apartment while they attempted desperately to get settled. his mom’s life long dream was to be a novel writer, but ended up teaching high school literature. his dad was, and always had been, a teacher himself. 

when jiseok’s mom got pregnant with him, she went on maternity leave and struggled with postpartum depression that made it difficult to go back to work. his dad tried to make it work with just a single income, but ultimately it wasn’t enough. she bounced around from job to job, often cleaning up homes and business and taking on other odd jobs as she couldn’t handle the stress of teaching again. 

as jiseok grew from being a toddler to being a school-aged child, they finally settled down in seoul after what felt like a miracle situation — his mom got on the proper medication and was able to work a stable teaching job again. unexpectedly, his mom announced that he would be having two siblings come the spring, twins, she had told him excitedly. 

with jiseok entering grade school, and the twins being watched by his aunt during the day, she could afford to work longer days. when both parents began teaching again, they enrolled jiseok in a taekwondo class after school. he was good at it. he enjoyed the outlet from the noisiness that was a household that has two new twin babies living in it. he liked being at a place with faces he didn’t recognize from school. he was quite clumsy and rowdy in daily life growing up, spending many saturday evenings in the emergency room racking up bills for stitches and a cast on his arm after a nasty fall off of a slide. so he liked when he’d go to taekwondo and felt like he had control over his body and the way it moved, and what he could do with it. 

he was elegant, and quick in his movements, earning himself the nickname " kitty " from one of the instructional assistants at his taekwondo club.

now, he liked taekwondo just fine, but he found another love late into his elementary years. as his mom and dad would often work late nights at the school, his aunt jihyun would often pick him up after his post-school taekwondo lesson. she owned a dance studio just down the street and jiseok, kit, would go there to do homework so he didn’t have to spend all night alone. 

the nights he didn’t have much academia work, he would just watch the dancers. eventually, jihyun noticed the careful way he would watch them, and invited him to participate. one half of a dance class was all it took for kit to know that this is where is belonged. 

COLLEGE -- CURRENT ;

jiseok stayed in public school as he entered his high school years, which was frustrating as all of his dance team members began to join fine arts schools. it wasn’t in the cards for him, and he was okay with that. with him entering high school and the twins entering junior high, he knew there was no way his parents could afford private or specialized schools for one of them, let alone three of them. 

he focused on his studies intensely, knowing he had to score well on exit exams and classes if he wanted to be able to pursue a higher education, already stuck with a disadvantage just for attending public high school. he was dedicated and a perfectionist in all aspects of his life. his grades remained impeccable and he attended his dance classes every day after school. he lost sleep most nights in order to get both dance and school complete in a day. 

dancing competitively came shortly after high school began, finally old enough to travel on weekends with his team and compete. the fees were expensive and jiseok was able to fund them with scholarships and odd jobs he picked up here and there. the amount of work that went into it and the nights of sleep he lost didn’t matter to him. he loved dancing. he loved performing. 

it was on those long weekends away from home, tucked away in his own little world that he was a little different from other teammates (or so he thought, but much later in life would learn there were plenty of other people just like him). he had crushes growing up, but the first time he remembers feeling like he was in love –– as in love as he could be at sixteen –– was with a boy he met at a dance competition, who he blossomed a quiet, mostly secret relationship with.

he got outed for having a boyfriend relatively quickly after they began dating, and much to his luck, his parents, the twins, and all of his closest friends were more than supporitve. it didn't take away the sting when he'd get looks from other dancers at competitions, or teachers at school, or the elder's he'd pass on the streets, bravely walking hand in hand with his boyfriend.

now, as he’s studying dance in college and continuing to dance professionally, he still battles whether or not he will ever step foot into the idol-side of things. he likes his anonymity, mostly, and being able to return to normal life after doing backup-dance work for an awards show, or a concert, or an event. 

he’s pretty heavily involved in the queer space at his university and in the performance sphere, and knows that being an idol would mean giving that up, and he’s not sure he’s ready to do that now, or ever. 

LITTLE TIDBITS & TLDR ;

kit started dancing around age 11, the years before that spend in the taekwondo studio where he learned of his own grace and control despite being mostly clumsy and graceless in daily life.

he has two younger twin siblings that he loves like, seriously more than life. hyunsoo & seohyun are 5 years younger than him and have eagerly followed his footsteps in dancing. he's very protective of them.

his primary love is dancing, but has found a real passion for choreographing and teaching. in a dream world, one where he isn't a back-up dancer for idols, he would be a choreographer for some of the biggest names in the industry.

his favorite kind of dancing is contemporary, though it's easily his least practiced –– he just enjoys the vulnerability contemporary choreographies encapsulate.

he's quite the party guy, but mostly casually. it's fun for him on the weekends, especially to be involved in itaewon/the gay scene. he's very proud of himself and outspoken about his sexuality.

began dancing at the age of five, taking ballet classes at canada's national ballet school because his mom wanted all of her children to become professional ballet dancers like her. his dad was on the fence about it, not necessarily opposing the idea of him and his two sisters doing it but more open to supporting them if they decided they wanted to do something else in the future. his mom was less thrilled by the possibility but would eventually come around when all three of them chose to pursue different paths later in life.

one day when he was eleven he attended one of the open hip hop classes his older sister was taking, and immediately liked it better. the music was the main reason he wanted to continue taking classes but when he initially started, he felt challenged and ya boi likes a challenge. he still attended the ballet school, dedicated to becoming a professional ballet dancer like his mom wanted him to, but he knew deep down his interests were shifting and his older sister knew it too.

when he found out that new star entertainment wanted him to audition in person all the way in seoul, once the confusion subsided as to how they even knew about him ( his sister submitted an online audition in his stead ), he was more excited to audition than nervous despite not knowing much about the industry. he didn't know what he was getting into, but the idea of not becoming a ballet dancer was exciting — doors he didn't know existed were opening for him.

axel is nothing if not a hard worker. he is someone who doesn't like to disappoint, and especially since his parents had allowed him to completely switch gears and become a trainee with an undetermined future ( they didn't tell him that tho. they just let him think there was no way he wouldn't debut ).

he received a lot of criticism as a rookie for not being able to sing live very well. he put more power and energy into the choreography and didn't think he needed to be the greatest singer since the other members were hard-carrying. he did what he could to improve after ( what he considers to be ) the disaster of his debut, he attended more singing lessons and visited the practice rooms almost every single day to practice his live singing while dancing.

has been caught in several different dating rumors over the eight years he's spent as an idol. only one relationship was real ( they broke up almost immediately after ) but the others were either with his close friend or someone he didn't know that fans? connected out of pure coincidence.

he began an acting career three years ago, appearing in minor roles and supporting roles. he began taking acting lessons at the insistence of his company, wanting him to try something new and expand his skillset. although he knows he's not the best idol-actor the industry has to offer, he hopes that he could land a lead role in the near future to really test his abilities.

HUGE fan of star wars. he collects a lot of merch and ( unfortunately ) can talk for hours about anything related to it. he's too interested in the lore and has definitely talked about it on a livestream for hours. he used to receive a lot of star wars related gifts from fans prior to no longer accepting gifts from them, and he keeps it all either at his grandparents' house in seoul, or in his childhood bedroom in toronto. ( woozi talking for 6 hours about anime is literally axel talking about star wars )

also he's just a huge movie bro in general ?? he LOVES movies and sometimes it feels like he has seen every movie in existence. ( for legal reasons i'm joking but he does definitely have an extensive knowledge. ) he constantly invites friends out to see movies or goes by himself ... there's really no movie he wouldn't watch. his favorite movies include jurassic park, the host, spirited away, a silent voice, arrival, in the mood for love, and a more recent addition is godzilla minus one.

a little bit too active on his social media accounts. he's the most active on tiktok and instagram, and constantly overshares like he's on his private accounts and talking to his closest friends. he had always been social and active on indigo's official sns accounts, and it seemingly got worse when indigo as a group were allowed to have their own personal accounts. he's the type of idol who is never beating the 'in a parasocial relationship w fans' allegations.

he is known for being apparently passive about the criticisms that come his way every now and then, and he wants to believe that he isn't bothered at all by hate when in reality it eats away at him in an unhealthy way. during his rookie years where he spent his free time working hard on improving his skills, he had gotten sick more often than not by overworking his 17yo body more than it could handle. sometimes he falls back into his bad habits when he really lets himself be bothered, but he's also gotten better at pulling himself out of that state ( also the other members help out a lot too ).

he became a first-time cat dad in 2021 when he adopted his daughter as a kitten. her name is sun and she is a russian blue that he fostered for a while to trial animal therapy, but she ended up being a foster failure and he adopted her after a month. he is known for donating to local animal rescue centers and hopes to adopt a rescued feline in the near future.

axel can be best described as ... warm. warm in the sense that as a person, he feels like someone you've been friends with for years even if you've only known him for a month. he's typically easy-going and more-often-than-not a Yes Man. but he's also warm in the sense that he's a simmering pot that's one second away from reaching its boiling point should something stress him out. he wants to believe he's nonconfrontational but the truth is that he feels the need to fight should he feel wronged.

he's close with both of his sisters, and the three of them working in the entertainment industry has only made them closer. sometimes he appears on his younger sister's youtube videos or tiktoks when they're in seoul or if he's in los angeles. he sees them in-person at least four times a year, but they constantly facetime and do so once a week. he's also close with his parents, and much closer to his lax father despite being nearly a carbon copy of his mom in terms of personality.

he grew up in wealth, his dad being a defense attorney and his mom being an ex-professional ballet dancer turned ballet teacher in toronto's most prestigious ballet school. it's safe to say that he spends more than he should on a monthly basis buying things he doesn't necessarily need. while he doesn't go announcing his wealth to the world or even tries to show off in front of peers, he shows it silently in the way he constantly offers to pay for everything when out with friends or in the way he constantly buys gifts and lil trinkets for friends when he finds something that reminds him of them.

a child who has always loved to sing and dance. there’s even a video she has shared from when she was two — she was babbling and dancing to a song playing.

born & raised in new york. grew up in a very happy family of 6. 

he has two older sisters and one much younger sister, making him one of the middle children, but his mother made sure he never felt left out or forgotten. actually, since his sisters had such big personalities compared to him she probably showered him with a little more love to encourage him to come out of his shell. 

very bright kid. loved school especially reading & writing bc he liked the fantasy worlds he read about in books but what he really liked was to sing. he found it to be a fun outlet and often participated in school talent shows and school plays. he was always told he should pursue it but he thought people were just being kind. 

one summer he went on vacation to south korea to stay with his grandparents like they always did. during their stay their cousin planned to audition for an entertainment company. all his older sisters and him audition just so their cousin wouldn’t feel alone. it was all for funsies for them, not thinking anything would come of it......jooha was the only one who passed. 

jooha wanted to go back home. he didn’t think he’d be happy away from his family. after all, he was only 14 at the time, but his grandparents convinced him to stay. and in part he didn’t want to regret not seeing where this could lead.

PRE-DEBUT

Raised in Nami island.

His father bought land to build a small farm aside from their house when he was 3.

He raised chickens, cows, goats, cats, dogs, and even some ducks.

He started singing around the house when he was 5 and his parents urged him to participate in singing competitions as he grew up.

His family wasn’t wealthy by any means so he pushed himself to do well enough to win money during said competitions.

At the age of 11, he became interested in poetry and music and started piano lessons at the insistence of his mother.

By 14, he was known in Nami for his angelic voice and musical range.

Right before graduating high school, he promised himself (and his parents) that he’d go to college and worked hard to debut while still in his college studies.

DEBUT

He was scouted at a singing competition and appeared for an audition a week later at the age of 17.

He continued training up until he graduated high school and started taking some college courses online after debut.

Debuting at 18 was very labor intensive for June.

The dancer portion of idol life nearly killed him with it’s many late nights perfecting choreography and recording.

He had to put in more hours with choreography because he wasn’t very good at first.

The strict regiment for an idol was intimidating for him and he almost fell entirely behind.

It was hard for him to adjust to the other people of his group and constantly being in the spotlight (he only kinda likes the attention!!!)

Even though he is one of the youngest of his group, he still makes sure to look out for his members and uplift them.

He may look very low energy but when he’s feeling the vibe, he’s such a happy bouncy pill!
