As I was gling through my great grandparents photos, I found this one that only said Sid Chaplin on the back of it. I contacted someone that wrote a book about Charlie Chaplin's, half brother Sydney Chaplin. She confirmed that this is a picture of Charlie Chaplin's brother. She dates this about 1916. My great grandpa Ray Brown and his Wife would often go to visit Ray's brother, Alden Brown. I believe this house located on Crescent and Lafayette in Grand Rapids, MI is a plan by D.S.Hopkins. as you swipe you can see there have definitely been some changes and additions to this home but the main part of this house matches the design. In the Dec 1884 issue of the American Builder and Wood-Worker, it states that this home was being built in Grand Rapids.
