Lawn Care by Twinsimming 🍃
This mod spawns weeds on home lots for sims to tend.
This is a script mod that can be placed in your Packages folder. It was built and tested on 1.69 but should work fine on 1.67.
Requirements
This mod requires The Sims 3: Seasons and The Sims 3: University Life.
Overview

Weed Spawning
At 10:00am every day, there is a 10% chance that between 5 and 20 weeds will spawn on a sim’s home lot.
For each weed spawned, there is also a chance that common insects will spawn with them.
Sims will get the custom Overgrown moodlet if they go outside and there are weeds present on their lot. This moodlet will go away once all of the weeds are removed.
Neat, Snob, Perfectionist, and Hates the Outdoors sims will be more affected by weeds than other sims.
Slob and Loves the Outdoors sims will be less affected by weeds than other sims.
After 4 days, if there are more than 5 weeds on a home lot, the Neighborhood Homeowners Association will give your household a warning. If the weeds are not removed within 24 hours following the warning, the household will be fined §150 (tunable).
If there are more than 20 weeds on a lot at one time, additional weeds won’t spawn until some of the existing ones are removed.
Note: Weeds will not spawn on home lots with Public Room Markers (ex: high-rise apartments).
Weed Removal
There are two methods for getting rid of weeds: removing and spraying.
Remove Weeds
Weeds can be removed from a lot one at a time with the “Remove Weed” interaction.
Sims with the Loves the Outdoors, Green Thumb, Excitable, and Easily Impressed traits will get a custom Fresh Grass positive moodlet when removing weeds.
Sims at least Level 1 in the Gardening Skill will get a skill bump from removing weeds.
The “Tend Lawn” interaction on weeds queues a sim to remove all weeds present on a lot, similar to the "Tend Garden" interaction for plants.
However, removing weeds this way has a high chance of triggering a sim's allergies and giving them the Allergy Haze moodlet.
Spray Weeds
Alternatively, sims can use the “Spray Weeds” interaction to remove up to 10 weeds at a time.
This weed removal method has a 30% chance of turning your sim into a PlantSim, similar to The Sims 2: Seasons.
New Moodlets
Overgrown: Given when weeds spawn on a sim’s home lot, lasts until all weeds are removed from, -15 mood
Fresh Grass: Given when a sim with the Loves the Outdoors, Green Thumb, Excitable, or Easily Impressed trait removes a weed, lasts 1 hour, +10 mood
Tuning
All of the tunable values can be found on the mod download page under the header “Tuning.”
Conflicts & Known Issues
This is a new script mod so there shouldn’t be any conflicts.

Yay!!!
Let's Get Drunk - Mod Download
Introducing 3 different types of beverages: alcohol, non-alcoholic juice, and tap water!
Full documentation is included in the download!
Alcohol
Purchase from the grocery store, buy mode, or from Alcohol Racks on community lots. There are up to 7 different alcohol glasses that may be used depending on the setting/occasion. There's also a champagne bucket that only serves champagne!
By default: drinking nectar, from a professional bar, playing juice pong, and drinking from a juice keg also count as drinking alcohol. This is tuneable.
Most sims will become drunk after drinking around 4 cups, however this can fluctuate depending on if your sim is a lightweight (or an alcoholic), or if they are out clubbing.
Drunken Behaviour
There are 6 different types of drunks. Traits and buffs affect how sims will act when intoxicated. Whether it's picking fights, streaking, having giggle fits, or falling flat on their faces, there's something unique for everyone.
Drinking is social behaviour so most of the fun will be seen when drinking in groups.
Benefits:
Sims can be more successful at various social interactions
Non-violent drunks will be less angry
Drunk sims are less exhausted
Sims may lose all sense of embarrassment (and morals)
Drawbacks:
Excessive drinking increases the risk of addiction, poisoning, fainting and vomiting
Underage drinkers may be punished
Going to work or school drunk can lead to dire consequences
Drunk driving or travelling abroad while drunk may lead to fines, or a police visit
There are many other effects besides the few mentioned above.
Social Interactions:
There are 10 new unique social interactions, including: ramble incoherently, drunk tease, shove, spill soul, and show off guns. All with TS4 animations I converted!
Hangovers
Hangovers don't come on immediately after a sim finishes being drunk, and the intensity, length and symptom frequency depends on how well the sim looks after them self before and after. Things like napping, drinking water, and eating certain food will reduce hangover severity.
Addiction
A sim's propensity for addiction depends on how much they drink (a lot), their traits, and if there is a history of addiction in their family. Addiction has the ability to become fatal.
It can be disabled in the tuning.
Juice
Juice can likewise be purchased from the supermarket & buy mode. There are 3 different types of cups that may be used. Toddlers can also be given juice.
Benefits:
Blocks 'too spicy' buff
Increases children's party score
May increase the intensity of drunk buff
Drawbacks:
Can give sim's toothaches if they already have a sugar high
Water
Water can be drunk from the kitchen sink (any room with a fridge or stove)
Benefits:
May reduce hangover length
Reduces sims temperature

Compatibility
Made on version 1.67
Because there are new romantic interactions, Nraas woohooer may generate a script log when loading the game. It's not actually an error so can be discarded. (The documentation includes a way to stop this though)
All new objects are unique so shouldn't be conflicts.

A new mod by Eliss at MTS! I always appreciate any 'Children can...' mods to enable them to do a lot more things in this game! Riding horses especially! Thank you! - desiree-uk Eliss Mod notes:
This mod allows child Sims to ride horses just like adults, without the weird stretching! Children can now perform all horse-related actions with proper animations.
🔧 Note: The only time stretching still occurs is during mounting and dismounting, as those animations have not yet been converted. Everything else works smoothly and looks natural.
🔧 If you notice any unconverted or buggy animation, please let me know! There are a huge number of animations in the game, and I may have missed one by accident.
❗ Important: Place this mod into your Mods > Overrides folder.
❗ Important: If you are using Nona’s “Children Can Ride Horses” mod, please remove it before installing this mod to avoid file conflicts.

WIP - Alcohol Mod (+ mini Tillage Update!)
To make a long story short, I had to restart my current world, Tillage, because I was trying to uninstall a mod but it couldn't be done safely and was spurting out so many script errors and lagging my game etc etc. So, I have all new sims living in Tillage!
The last family in my rotation were who I made the taxes and benefits mod for, and this current family has sparked this new mod.
What's the point of having a liquor shelf, when the only liquor isn't even drinkable because it has the Hobo Script OBJK attached? I haven't had that mod installed for years!
Not only is there alcohol, complete with different glasses depending on the occasion...
There's also fruit juice, that even toddlers can enjoy...
And water, straight from the kitchen tap.
So there's something for everyone (except babies!).
Drunk sims may act differently depending on their current traits/buffs. Hangovers creep up on sims and the symptoms can be lessened/managed through certain activities. Binge drinking is a thing, and can have consequences.
I even made a custom commodity/motive so that sims may be pushed to do certain drunken activities autonomously.
This mod has been a bit difficult because I really hate working with props + converting animations means finding appropriate voice files, and making jazz scrips and whatnot.
This mod really isn't perfect however, I'm like 85% finished and it's finally completely stable!

Kitchen Tweaks
Happy 16th birthday to the Sims 3!! Here's yet another mod 😊 This is a simple mod that fixes sims washing dishes in bathroom sinks, makes it so you can stack plates and bowls together, and sims will wash their hands before preparing food now!

Description
Larger Patterns Panel increases the size of pattern thumbnails and the height of the patterns panel in Create a Style, Create a Sim, and Create a Bot. By default, the UI displays sixteen patterns at a time (four thumbnails x four rows). The mods enables the display of twenty-seven patterns at once (three thumbnails x nine rows).
Installation
Place mod into Mods/Packages folder.
To uninstall, remove mod from the Mods/Packages folder.
Requirements
A minimum screen resolution of 1920x1080 is strongly recommended. The bottom of the panel UI element will be off-screen at screen heights lesser than 1080px.
This mod was built and tested on patch 1.67.
Conflicts/Compatibility
The following resources are modified by Larger Patterns Panel. Mods doing likewise will cause a conflict.

Sometimes I hate to give my sims high autonomy. My boy Max was placed in another household with his mother, brother and stepfather due some reasons and when I get back he's graduated from school, just turned into young adult...and have a toddler DAUGHTER!!! Like -bro, you teenage dad?
Girl is cute, tho. I made him visit her, cuz she lives with her mom in another household.

Slower Friendship Mod V2.
This is an overhaul of my original “Slower Friendship Mod.” In the first version, I felt the values were a bit inconsistent, too tailored to my personal gameplay at the time, and somewhat unbalanced overall. In this version, I’ve streamlined things a bit better and have included various general improvements + additional features.
So, what does this mod actually do? In short, this is a tuning mod that makes it take longer to make friends in The Sims 3!
This mod slows down the rate at which Sims gain LTR (Long Term Relationship) points, and it also decreases the charisma bonuses so that friendships don’t form quite as quickly for charismatic sims.
This is especially useful if you play on longer lifespans, use NRaas Relativity to adjust how time passes in the game, or if you just want an extra challenge!
Changelog
March 30, 2025
Work tones are now affected by the mod. No more rapid best friends when working in rabbit holes!
Charisma bonus on LTR is now impacted.
The time required to become “Old Friends” or “Old Enemies” has been reverted to the default 14 days. The previous change felt too specific to my personal lifespan settings.
Social visit lengths have been restored to their default values, as modifying them felt arbitrary upon further review.
The mod now affects relationship decay.
The “Celebrity” achievement reward in charisma skill journal has been changed.
Slower Friendship Mod v.2 Details:
Flavors - There are 4 flavors available: 3x slower, 6x slower, 9x slower, and 12x slower.
LTR Gain - All positive social interactions yield 3x, 6x, 9x, or 12x less LTR gain, depending on the flavor selected. This means gaining relationship with another sim will take longer.
LTR Loss - All negative interactions result in 3x, 6x, 9x, or 12x less LTR loss, based on the chosen flavor.
Work Tones - LTR gains from work tones (hanging out with co-workers or sucking up to the boss while working in rabbit holes) are also reduced by 3x, 6x, 9x, or 12x.
Charisma - Charisma gained through socializing has been cut in half across all flavors. I might change this later on if people feel like charisma is still too easy. (I also recommend using NRaas Relativity to change skill gain factors).
Relationship Decay - The minimum time before relationship decay begins (default: 48 hours) is now multiplied by 3, 6, 9, or 12, depending on the flavor. In other words, it takes longer for relationships to begin to decay, scaled to each flavor of the mod.
Charisma multiplier - The charisma multiplier applied to LTR gains during social interactions has been scaled down by 3x, 6x, 9x, or 12x. This means that charismatic Sims should no longer experience such huge relationship jumps when socializing, so it should be more challenging to form relationships even with the charisma skill. They'll still have a bonus, it's just less drastic.
Skill journal - With the “Celebrity” charisma skill journal achievement, you only get a boost of 10 to LTR gain during social interactions instead of 25! Simply having a lot of acquaintances shouldn’t make you so instantly popular with everyone, in my personal opinion. Applies to all flavors.

This mod does not alter relationship scoring, so it’s fine to use it with other mods that do (such as Retuned Attraction System). 😊
Installation
Choose one flavor and place it in your Mods > Packages folder. Only one flavor can be used at a time—do not install multiple versions simultaneously!
Be sure to follow standard mod installation practices:
Back up your save files before making changes
Use Delphy’s Dashboard to check for conflicts
Monitor your game for any issues after installation
Made on game version 1.69. Should be base game compatible.
Uninstalling
This is a tuning mod, so it’s safe to remove at any time if it’s not to your liking.

Taxes & Benefits Mod + New Active Career - DOWNLOAD
One of my sims was earning a little too much money and somehow this spiralled into me developing this mod. Introducing a very configurable tax and benefit system alongside an all new active career!
The tax and benefit system is modelled after the system we have here in England. All tax and benefit options are configurable and sims will only be opted in if you want them to. See the included documentation for a proper feature breakdown.
There are three types of taxes:
Council Tax (a property tax)
Business Tax
National Insurance (an income tax)
Register sims for each type of tax through the city hall.
There are four types of benefits:
Universal Credit
Housing Benefit
Child Benefit
Job Seekers Allowance
Register sims online, through social interactions with the all new Civil Servant, or at a HSRC communications booth.
Civil Service Career
Work for the HSRC in this fully functional active career.
There are 36 jobs which can be completed: 27 are custom career opportunities (like in the private eye career), 9 of them are custom active jobs (like in the interior decorator or firefighter career).
Jobs include: checking benefit eligibility for sims around town, attending job fairs, auditing, community outreach, responding to council house repair requests, and things of that nature.
Communication Booth
Civil Servants are given communication booths which can be placed anywhere in the world. This object has 2 geostates and can be set up or packed down when not needed.
Council Houses
Properties that are not owned by a sim are council houses. There are some unique interactions for these homes. For one, they can be more susceptible to pests (if enabled in the tuning, that is).
Complain to the Council
Depending on the type of property the sim lives in, they can complain to the council about housing issues such as overcrowding, broken facilities, or vermin.

There are 12 new social interactions found under Friendly, Funny and Mean.

Some interactions are only visible after doing things such as paying taxes. Some interactions are specific to the Civil Service career.

You can use cheat ‘uninstallTaxesBenefits’ in order to remove all mod related objects and data before uninstalling.
