"A year feels so long..."

Vacation was already upon the students of Hogwarts and many were feeling the downsides. All seventh year students were to take their leave from Hogwarts after graduating and set off into the Wizarding World to find a career that would suit them best. For the Weasley's the summer was a time for celebrations and excitement. But one Weasley in particular just didn't have it in her to feel like celebrating just yet.

Rose Weasley sat outside The Burrow, the place she would call home for the summer, with a boy. Not any boy though, this boy, this man, was Mathius Finch. The one whom she held dear. They sat talking to each other about the smallest of things, anything to keep the one topic off their mind. 

"It really is going to really stink not having you around next year. I mean, how am I supposed to scare the first years with my ginger-ness without my partner-in-crime." She said looking up at him with a small smile.

"I'm sure you'll find a way. And you still have Lily to help you." He said. "And we have all summer together. James wont let Max and I leave." He joked.

"And owls. I'd love an owl every now and then." She said giving him a slight poke to the center of his chest with a small laugh. Rose gave in shortly after and held onto him tight. "I'll miss you. A year feels so long."
