this is a very good podcast, you should listen to it

If you want to understand what is going on with sex testing and boxing at the Olympics, boy do I have a podcast for you!

Have you been having tough, complicated, frustrating conversations about the inclusion of women in sports recently? Have friends or family who are repeating talking points about certain Olympic boxers having an "unfair advantage" over other women?

If you want to be able to have smarter, more nuanced and fact based conversations about this stuff, I really do think my most recent project will help.

I spent the last ten years researching sex testing, and all that work culminated into a podcast called TESTED. It's six episodes, and it takes you around the world and back in time to understand where sex testing comes from, how it has shifted over time, and why it won't go away.

I worked really hard on the project, and I really do think that listening will help people be smarter about sex, gender, sports and fairness.

i used to have a much easier time writing a video script. i think this is down to a couple of reasons.

a. i'm out of practice

b. search is so unbelievably bad i cannot find simple facts anymore. every stat i need to look up is a 20 minute diversion digging through AI-generated nonsense and irrelevant recent news stories.

c. being wrong on the internet has only become more terrifying.
