as to the original anon who started this whole thing, don't feel bad. i ALSO am not super into the idea of fat gabriel (but it may just be my own anorexia speaking, and i understand and can appreciate it in passing) but i recognize the importance of it and letting it exist, just as you probably do. this is a confession booth after all, not damning someone else's opinions!

lastly: since we all like ultrakill im assuming we're all at least a lil neurospicy and thus communicating intentions, esp anonymously, is hard. give everyone some slack. don't diss on a fetish if ya dont like it, and don't diss on someone for not liking your fetish. nobody probably meant harm by any of it.

Just realised that whenever I see the phrase "I wouldn't touch that with a ten foot pole" I automatically think of a ten metre pole. Like a comically long pole. A ten foot pole isn't all that long. That's slightly less than two of my body lengths. Not touching something with a ten foot pole still lets you get pretty close to it actually.

With the whole fat Gabe thing, people who look like bodybuilders or models or what-have-you usually get there by being very, very dehydrated. And by Not Fucking Eating Anything. Which is 1) bad for you, and 2) why they have no endurance whatsoever. Tactically, being conventionally "in shape" would make him worse at his job, not better.

Like, obviously, inagine him however you want. Bear or twink, skinny or fat, anything in between; do whatever strikes your fancy. He is polygons. But clamimg it would be unrealistic for him to be fat and athletic is both fatphobic and just straight up wrong.

Personally, I think in game, he is in unhealthy shape. Like nor drinking enough, not eating enough, and these bad habits are reinforced by receiving the "ideal angel body" in reward. Its partially why he is so angry and stressed out; all the shit he has to deal with is being exacerbated by being hungry. It ties into Ultrakills whole "need to consume" as well because he isn't, and therefore, his body is breaking itself apart. Just like a machine who needs fuel.

Being fat would make him healthier. More fuel for the fire.

to me the murderbot books and the tv show are still two separate things (which is good - the tv show is an adaptation, it doesn't have to recreate the books exactly nor should it) but I'm getting a kick out of how being able to SEE SecUnit's face recontextualizes things.

like. in the books the PresAux crew treats SecUnit like a person because they are A) nice in general and B) ethical
