The K bullet was an armor-piercing round that could penetrate up to 13 mm of armor. It was fairly effective against early tanks and destroyed many of them at the beginning of tank warfare.
The German Army captured more than 300 damaged enemy tanks. It salvaged and transported them behind frontlines, where engineers repaired the captured tanks and sent them back to the front.

The Zollverein was a German customs union officially established under Prussian leadership in 1834, after the Prussians had established an internal customs union throughout their state in 1818. It created a free-trade area throughout Germany with the exception of Austria. Moreover, it was an attempt of Prussia to win the struggle for control over the other states of the Confederation.
As a consequence of the trench warfare on the Western Front in World War One, military leaders had to find a way to break it.
The German Army deployed specialist soldiers that were trained to use infiltration tactics to break through the lines of the opposition.
