Searching for a "Why"

(Long post, buckle up!)

Ever since I was placed among humans, I've questioned one thing: "Why?"

Why was I, a full-fledged dragon, suddenly dropped into a human exterior? I am not human in any way, and never wished to be human in any way. I hate the thing that stares deep into my eyes when I look into a mirror.

I've considered past lives, but that feels... wrong. I never died, at least in my current memory. I never even came close to death. I am a dragon in this life. I was born a dragon and will die a dragon. My physical self, despite the human-looking shell, is a dragon. So past lives are off the table.. Back to the drawing board. I've considered something regarding my soul. Maybe I have the soul of a dragon. I entertained this idea for a good long while, but eventually discarded it... No, my physical form is also draconic, not just my soul, if I even have one. Maybe I was just born a human and my psychosis is simply playing tricks on me? That feels the most wrong of them all. I had these feelings, these sensations, these thoughts, these behaviors long before any type of psychosis set in. Whenever I see a dragon or even just feel the chill of the wind, it all feels real. Not even my strongest delusions or hallucinations have ever replicated that "realness". Even after both of these ideas, I was once again left confused. A "why" still felt so far away. ..Which brings me to my current idea. Humans. Humanity.

I've always had an aversion to humans, which becomes more obvious if you've read my other posts or spoken to me directly. I dislike other animals, sure, but my dislike of humans is stronger than any resentment I have for other animals. I am phobic of spiders, but spiders don't give me the sense of dread I feel when with humans. What if humanity did something to me?

As I get older it's starting to become more clear to me that the reason for my inprisonment within this form has something to due with humanity. These animals have always enjoyed playing "god", despite the fact they are no greater than other creatures in this universe, so it wouldn't be a shock to me if they've done something to me that I simply cannot remember all that well... ..But for now, the mystery of "why" continues.

I believe what they meant when saying this is that many therians are aware of their own humanity (not all ofc), and they're pointing this out as an argument for antis who think therianthropy is directly tied to delusions, make mentions of hunting season, litterboxes, ect. It's also probably a young therian that doesn't know about physical therians/ nonhumans. Not sure where the suicide mention is coming from though, in fact I've never seen bullying get much worse than tail pulling or hate comments. But still, I personally don't see this post as inherently bad. They are simply saying that they count as a person, and nowhere in this statement did they say that they or anyone else aren't an animal. They only stated that they are aware of their humanity as well, and live in a human society. Yes, not everyone feels that way, but again, this is probably a recently awakened young therian, or one who hasn't met the physical side of the community yet.

My apologies on this. Unfortunately I had some matters that needed attending to urgently however I haven’t forgotten and it will be out by the end of the week. I have listened to all the advice I got from those who commented on my previous post and I have been taking plenty of time to make sure that I have made it as inclusive as realistically possible.

I have of course listened and made sure it is inclusive of systems as best as I can too. I heard these concerns as several folk messaged me to check about this. My partner is a system and as such I do my best to make sure I am inclusive of systems in what work I do. I have checked with several sources and folk directly to make sure my language and questions are inclusive.

Please once it is released share it around as much as possible as I want to be able to get as many responses as possible for the widest demographic I can possibly reach!

Fighting the instinct to howl so I don't concern the neighbors

lately ive had such a strong urge to howl, especially at night, so I can find fellow wolves, find a pack, find some other creature out there. but it hurts that I cant, because even if I had a chance to, thered be no creature to return the call

I spent a year trying to figure out if I am a cacomistle or a palm civet.

THEY'RE BASICALLY THE SAME ANIMAL??

The only real visual difference is one has a striped tail while the other is generally darker in color. Also one lives in the forests of south america, and one lives in the forests of asia. Even the sounds are extremely similar ?? And no, they're not related. At all.

I think one of the hardest parts of discovering another 'type or kin is the fact that, especially with animals, there are simply species that look extremely similar or resemble each other. But wait! There's more! Within one species, there's an endless amount of breeds you never even knew about!

Now, sometimes differentiating between similar animals can be easy. For me, I immediately knew I was a hare, not a rabbit. Hare feels right, and while the two share SOME similar characteristics, I'm just pretty sure I'm not a rabbit at all.

But it took me so long to figure out I'm a dog when there's so many other canines that exist, and hell, I'm still not sure if I'm *just* a dog or a canine cladotherian because my identity seems to be pretty fluid, which, by the way, doesn't help the situation. If I feel like a dog one day and feel like a hare the next day, I start to question whether I was ever a dog in the first place, and when I begin feeling like a dog again, I begin questioning whether I'm a hare at all.

i hate that the most popular "therian creators" online are easily digestible for humans. i hate the "we dont REALLY believe we are animals..". fuck you. im a lot of things, but to summarize it all i am a beast. i am a force of nature. come over here where they keep All Us Freaks and see how youll be treated. i am not easily digestible. i will claw at your insides until you are a cavern of where your organs used to be.

Recently I had a similar experience with some people on a discord server that believed therio/kintypes to be sort of an alter ego, or a different identity entirely. It struck me as very strange, and I had to explain that saying I identify as other doesn't mean a separate "animalistic" personality. ??

"Tiktok therians" upset me

I just saw a TikTok with someone saying something like "Hot take, if you don't identify as an animal you aren't actually a therian" which makes sense and shouldn't really be a hot take as that's literally the definition, yet there were so many people in the comments getting upset and arguing about it, saying things like "I only identify as an animal a little bit, we all know we're human" and stuff like that. I swear so many people on TikTok don't even bother to even look up what things actually are. Because of them, more and more people see the stuff they say and learn things that aren't true, like being a therian is about quadrobics and masks for example. Obviously not all therians on TikTok are like this, but there's so many kids on there that are just believing every single thing they see and wont listen when anyone tries to explain things to them and its pissing me off.
