It was actually my first ever Niji ship!

I was immediately after I decided to go the Acechiji route in "Curly Waves" (marking my descent into Acechiji madness) and I turned to my sister like "I think Niji deserves a big bf that can pick him up by the scruff of his neck" and we settled on Yamato lmao

I think they would somehow balance each other and be entertaining

And, I think I've said this before but, Yamato does qualify in my only (and most important) requirement to ship a character with Niji: Must be physically capable and willing to beat Niji up

It's also very, Yamato and his rabid purse chihuahua bf Niji (which is now a category of Niji ships, pretty much all my Niji ships fall in that actually, but except Ratchet, Page 1 and Ulti, and sometimes Perona)

Headcannon: The Vinsmokes suck at flirting or when someone flirts with them.

Example: Ichiji tries to flirt with Ace but starts stumbling on his words and goes dead silent with embarrassment. Ace flirts with Ichiji but Ichiji takes a little time to understand it until he finally gets it and his face turns all red.

From best to worst flirt, we've got:

Reiju - if she takes the lead she'll get pretty much any woman she flirts with to follow her wherever, she might get a little shy when she's flirted with but it's cute and she handles it well enough

Niji - he's pretty good too, and in small dosis he can be quite charming, he takes being flirted with as a challenge so, despite the initial surprise, he manages to get his wits back relatively quickly

Ichiji - has he ever tried to start flirting? Yes, but people don't realise. Is it his expressions or his words? Yes. Depending on the setting in the mood he can handle being flirted with, for a little, eventually he just won't be able to take it anymore, that is if he realises he's being flirted with. He's good at witty conversations but those aren't always flirty, so the more bold and sincere, the less he can handle it (stuttering and blushing mess).

Yonji - Worst pick up lines, stutters, trips over his words, he might have a great opener sometimes but that's about it, he says ridiculous but they all end up making him look silly and cute, so it works in his favour, being sincere is his best weapon. He's like that whether he flirts or is being flirted with.

Sanji - I don't think I need to explain this one tbh

Good thing they all share the "ah, he's kinda cute when he's a lil pathetic" gene.

Now, for the little Acechiji scenario you mentioned 😈

Ace just sees Ichiji's reaction and, mentally, goes "aw shoot, he's actually cute, I wanna smother him with kisses or sth"

Ichiji might kinda want to jump out of a window out of embarrassment but, obv, he won't.

Yonji x Sabo (Yonbo/Yonsa) is one of my top 5 ships!

Along with Zosan

I enjoy some Judge X Ceasar too they're fun, both them together and just the idea of Ceasar as the Vinsibs step-parent

Sora with Zeff, ofc, tho I also like to put them as family, usually cousins or sth, depending on the au, also Belle-mère, Monet, etc

For Reiju and Niji, I enjoy a lot of ships

In no specific order of preference, I ship Reiju with Perona, Hancock, Tashigi, Isuka, Nojiko, Kiku

And Niji... Ratchet (which is my top choice), Usopp, Perona, Kiku, Yamato (sometimes both Kiku and Yamato at the same time), Page 1, Ulti, Kid and Killer (at the same time), Hawkins, Uta

I'm also pretty open to Reiju and Niji ships, they're the Vinsmoke casanovas

Same with Sora, tho I don't do much shipping with her, in general

This thought came to my brain when I was binge watching one piece dressrosa arc. What if... The maids knew what was going on with judge experimenting on his kids. Think about it some of the maids old and new were aware of what judge was doing, but keep their mouths shut about it because all of them have some sort of vendetta against the vinsmoke sibs because how mean ichiji, niji, and yonji was to them and they decided not to tell sanji because they think if he knew he would get them out of that situation, the maids want them to suffer for everything, reiju is nice to them but if they tell sanji about reiju's experimentation sanji would look deeper into what has been happening in germa 66.

The maids are known to be present during the vinsmoke sibs lives, also I think they would back talk about ichiji, niji, and yonji.

I think this would be kinda on purpose, I think if there was a servant that took pity or tried to be nice/bond with/whatever else with the siblings, Judge would get rid of them (I like to think that that's what happened with Epony, who, headcanon ofc, cared for the siblings and tried to care for them because of Sora, but the moment Sora died Judge got rid of her - killed? Fired? Who knows -). Judge's controlling ass can't keep people that could become positive influences to his lil toy soldiers around, that would be No Good™, so he gets rid of those and only keeps the one that keep to their businesses.

But I don't think that Reiju would be nice to the servants, she wouldn't be aggressive to them, but that's different from her being nice to them. A lot of people extrapolate her being kind and nice to Sanji to her being so to others, which is a fallacy, I she's mostly cold and maybe a little playful but in a underhanded mean kinda way. She's just not aggressive like we see Niji be.

And, same! I think Sanji would start investigating and maybe even trying to save his siblings if he knew the extend of everything Judge has done

Sabo was probably already aware to some extend due to being a revolutionary, but it's one thing to be aware of sth and another to be confronted by it, whether because a Vinsib tells him or he finds out on his own

Generally speaking, I don't think the Vinsibs ever disclose, of their own will, the true extend of the experiments

There's also a lot of "I'm sorry you went through that, I'll never allow anything like that to happen again"

Activate those protective instincts

Sabo would probably make Germa an active objective for the revs

Ace would probably leave Germa alone unless Germa tried to mess with them

As for Sanji, well, his hatred towards his siblings is lesser (or just different, as we see in canon - > he is capable of standing up against his siblings, he only really confronts Judge in the end, his siblings end up helping him. Although his siblings aren't innocent - including Reiju - but the True Blame™ falls squarely on Judge) to that towards Judge, who, he's pretty aware, is at fault for everything, they're will definitely be some level of pity for his siblings, while realising that he was The One Who Escaped™, his siblings might have been Judge's "treasure" but that means nothing, truly, what's an enemy compared to a "father" like that

He might even want to free them too. He's kind like that

Had a fun time laughing at this with my friends, kudos to being my first Anon Hate! We'll be throwing a party while talking about Ace and Ichiji having a romantic date under the moonlight and making out once they fall into bed together!

However, kudos once again for giving me the opportunity to rant about a pet peeve of mine, since you said I write them ooc, which, first of, factually incorrect, I develop them in ways that make sense for their characters and the situations they're in (it's all about character development baby!), but also, you know what's actually ooc? The popular headcanon that Ace is a slutty manwhore, nothing against the people who enjoy it, that's their perrogative and, at the ned of the day, what matters is that they're having fun, but let's not pretend that it's not ooc for Ace to be that. Sure, he looks like a fuckboy, doesn't mean he is tho. He may be friendly enough (something he learned and worked to be), but he's also a very guarded person; flirting and having sex with people requires a level of vulnerability that Ace doesn't really allow himself. He's confident, both in his looks and powers, his hang ups come from his lineage, from the fact that he knows that people learning who his bio-father is is an actual risk to his safety, he won't be telling people about that but he also won't it deny their connection if asked. He's someone who graves connection but he's also very clossed off and guarded, understandably so, him being friendly and well-mannered (and just in general a good person that helps those in need) doesn't change that, casual hook-ups would be terrible for his mental health, a form of self harm if you will. Given his circumstances in life, personality and life experiences, it doesn't make sense for him to be a fuckboy or manwhore or just someone who casually sleeps around in general. I do think he's naturally flirty, and by that I mostly mean that the way he interacts, expresses himself and presents his kindness can be easily read as flirting by some people, it doesn't mean that he's flirting tho.

I could go into a better, more detailed analysis as to why its ooc for Ace to be a manwhore/fuckboy, but I'll leave it at that.

Also, I'll never understand some of y'all's fixation with canonicity, that's, obviously, irrelevant to my ships. I just go with whatever I think would be most interesting/entertaining.

Of course, it will depend on the setting of the au but-

Generally speaking (aka the aus with more canon influence), the situations I tend to favour are the ones where they will be forced, in one way or another, to change something about themselves, each other and/or how they see/interact with the world, for example, whenever I have Ichiji beaten or just generally helpless and at Ace's mercy - and away from Germa - (I think Ichiji abandoning his "world" and finding a home in Ace's has become a bit of a staple in most of my aus lmao) and where Ace is forced to realize (to some extend) the positive influence he is to people and that even a (man-made) monster like Ichiji is capable and willing of loving him, and fighting his world to leave with Ace, so there's some level of forbiden love there, lmao.

There's also a bit of opposites attract going on with them (what can I say, I'm a sucker of Opposites Attract, and "B being forced to watch/being unable to save/protect A as A is tortured").

I'm also generally weak for classic romance tropes, such as sweet and shy characters, and slow-burning romances. Also, when it's them against the world (tho with the support of their friends and family lmao).

There's also something tasty about Ace showing Ichiji the world (street cat x house cat jajajjajaja).

Also, pining Ichiji, although it's usually Ace who realises his feelings first (he's more emotionally intelligent than Ichiji), to me, Ichiji is (pretty much) always the one who falls in love first, although it takes him a tad to realise.
