Dingy Derby

The Dingy Derby race is a two-man competition. One of the two people on the team are going to need to have the Love Boat toy in order to compete. Water-walking and swim speed are not permitted for this race for either team member. Contestants will start with one team member in the love boat and the other person in the water behind them. Once the Starter tells the teams to go, teams will follow the markers placed throughout the water and maneuver around ferries, bridges and other contestant vessels to make it to the end, upon the docks of the monastery. The first team to go on land at the end (your boat despawns**) is announced the winner!

Monkey in the Rigging

Monkey in the Rigging is a competition for single contestants. It will be done via ladder match. Contestants will come aboard the ship when their names are called, and take to the rigging. The first one to climb to the top and ring the bell is the winner. (2 point roll system)

Tow the Line

It is a race of strength and stamina, Tow the Line will feature contestants flexing their might. Contestants will be required to drag an anchor by rope, to the finish line. As if that wasn’t hard enough, contestants will be required to do so… uphill! (Roll-based)

Cannonball Run

It is a test of coordination, strength and speed. Team members will be working to efficiently get the cannonballs from point of origination to their destination. To do this, team members must get the ten 12lb cannonballs onto a square of canvas provided, and carry all ten cannonballs to the finish line. Be sure to watch your toes! (Roll-based)

The prizes for these games will be a total of 6 flat-shaded portraits by @the-zornbie-cat. Don’t miss your chance!

Arcane Theory: Transmutation

Who: Alliance event. All are welcome to attend - but more geared towards the scholarly mindset or simply the curious.

What: Public educational seminar on transmutation in its most basic. If you are curious about this school of magic, and what it takes to manipulate time and space - you are in for a treat! Friendly debate encouraged!

When: Friday - April, 20th at 7PM SERVER TIME

Where: Dalaran (Northrend) within the Beer Garden. Appetizers and beverage will be available upon arrival. Have a seat at one of the tables and enjoy what there is to offer.

OOC: For phasing reasons, we are choosing to host this educational seminar in Dalaran (Northrend) - and for the comfort of seating, the Beer Garden boasts a beautiful environment to hang around in.

Served at each table, our guests will find their fair helping of each lying in wait and ready to be dived into:

Appetizers: Spice Bread. Fruit and vegetable platter. Buzzard Bites. An assortment of cheese and crackers - including Dalaran Sharp and Dwarven Mild.

Beverages include: Dalaran Red. Dalaran White. Pale Ale. Moonberry Juice. Sparkling Water.

Mai'Kyl is Dead: A Conspiracy

Dear Royal Courier Team,

The band, Elite Tauren Chieftain, is well-regarded as one of the most revolutionary and famous bands of all time. Taking the world by storm around a decade ago, ETC’s hard symphonies displaying strength and rebellion shocked and enthralled many. Having recently finished their latest tour from Shattrah City to the Darkmoon Faire to the depths of Blackrock mountain, the band have since decided to take a holiday in the Blood Elven capital city of Silvermoon.

Though compromised solely of generally Horde-affiliated species, the band has many fans throughout all of Azeroth, a true testament to how music can bring people together. High Commander Goodchilde, current leader of the zealous Scarlet Crusade, can be quoted as remarking “The in-human dogs of the Horde ought to be slaughtered like the scum they are. The Scarlet Crusade shall never halt their endless quest to relinquish Azeroth of the Horde vermin. Oh, Elite Tauren Chieftain? I love those guys. ‘Terran Up the Night’ is my jam, man.”

That’s all irrelevant when you realize that the bassist, Mai'Kyl, is actually dead. Though the ETC’s band manager, Micheal Schwietzer, claims the famous Darkspear musician’s recent break from recording had been to deal with family matters, Mai'Kyl had, in actually, perished during the Legion’s initial attack on Tanaris, where he was visiting. The other members of the ETC were distraught, but decided to cover it up in order to continue their prosperity and popularity. Furthermore, it has also obvious that he had also not been replaced by a mere look-alike, but by a dastardly Dreadlord. The Legion now has their fel-covered foothold in the music business, though the other members of the ETC have kept quiet on such matters for their own safety.

As evidenced from the ETC’s first album after Mai'Kyl’s alleged break, Private Samuro’s Raging Hearts Club Clan, pictured above, Mai'Kyl is surely dead. The album was shot in the Tirisifal Glades, an area highly known for it’s association with death and, before the Battle of Undercity, Dreadlords. Furthermore, ghostly spirits mark the album’s cover, one on both lower corners. Strikingly, one phantom’s translucent claw lies upon Mai'Kyl’s bass guitar, symbolizing the troll’s death.

The Black Album, the ETC’s latest album, features all the members playing their instruments, each in their own respective white box, which appears quite striking against the aptly-named black cover. However, Mai'Kyl’s sole green background clashes with the rest of the band. This is obviously to further hint at Mai'Kyl’s replacement. The line “RwlRwlRwlRwl RwlRwlRwlRwl” in the ETC hit, “I am Murloc” translates to “Mai’Kyl is gone, Loa hold him tight” when spoken backwards in Nerglish. As of yet, no intelligent Murlocs, the only species capable of speaking said gutteral language, have commented or contested the claim, thus proving it to be real. The song, “All You Need is ‘Locks”, includes Samuro whispering “Dead Troll be Demon” during the ending segment of otherwise non-lyrical jamming and the sounds of Goblin-made explosives. However, Michael Schweitzer, have since cleared that up as “’De Troll be ‘da Mon” in reference to Mai’Kyl’s relaxed and friendly attitude and accent, though stubborn Conspirators believe this was merely a cover up. Now, you small-minded folks may ask yourselves, why would the ETC hint that their own band-member is a Dreadlord? Well, they can’t come out and say it, less they want their PR to plummet dramatically. Oh, and I suppose said Dreadlord take revenge upon them for revealing his secret. As such, they discreetly reveal it in their album covers and their songs. Dreadlords are not known for their perceptive abilities, and this is the only way they can reveal it to the general public. It’s almost a plea for help. It’s inevitable, Azeroth. People have to know. We have to take down the Dreadlord masquerading as Mai'Kyl, for the safety of Azeroth and for Rock lovers everywhere.

First to Your Aid Charity Event

House Addington and House Preston officially invite you to the docks of Stormwind to aid in the donating to Dalaran Infirmary, First to Your Aid, and in that aiding our troops who are fighting for all of us on the Broken Isles. There will be food and drink, the selling of medical supplies, a one time free infirmary, and vendors to sell balloons alongside note cards in which you will be able to pen your late loved one and release it into the high heavens for their receiving.
