hook is a man of both words and actions, though what he does depends on where he is and who he's around. if he's around the crew, he'll show that he loves basil through simple body gestures (brushing fingers together, looking longer than usual, looking with lidded eyes and a calmer expression).

if he and basil are alone in his cabin, than he expresses his love primarily through praise and physical touch. kisses, hugs, any sort of way that involves his getting his hand (and sometimes hook) on basil. he's a big fan of praise, both giving and receiving. he always wants basil to know that he loves them, no matter the way he goes through doing it
