there’s still so much i haven’t done, so much i don’t know how to do yet, but i often forget that the only reason i feel like i’m having a hard time is because i’m constantly growing. there’s still so much for me ahead, but this is where i am now:

1. I have found the love of my life and we’re getting married next year (i really see myself becoming a traditional wife and mother, and i’m so excited);

2. I am a practicing lawyer;

3. I am a college law professor;

4. I am an election lawyer;

5. I am a solo counsel for one of the parties in THAT one case everyone knows about (it rhymes with sogo);

6. I am unintentionally specializing in labor cases;

7. My business permit for my law office is approved; and

8. I’m going to start working with my fiancé.

i should be so proud of myself.

nothing hurts more (not really, but it hurts a lot) than having two cases of the same facts, same issues, same respondents, same evidence, but different complainants, docketed in two different court branches, and one of those cases being ruled in your favor while the other one is ruled against you. it's the fact that it was possible to win, with the arguments and the evidence that we had, because we DID win in the other case. now i have to meet with the ceo to explain and i fucking hate it. hayyy well, it is what it is. can't believe i'm saying that

honor pad x8a. don’t ask me about quality/specs because all i know is that it’s been working super well for me naman, but then again i just use it for notes, reading, and netflix pag di laptop/phone gamit ko or pag nasa kotse ako.

for reading i use moon + reader app. i feel like there’s so many other reader apps out there that are better, but i’ve always used this one so ‘to agad dinownload ko. may ads though kapag pupunta ka sa bookshelf mo. Ayun. Thank you!!

ano po meaning ng grandiose carnival in the sky? :o

phrase siya from a book written by one of my favorite authors, eve babitz.

she used “grandiose carnival in the sky” as a metaphor for the kind of love she wanted, but eventually stopped searching for and soon forgot about altogether.

she said that although she’s seen sunsets (or had beautiful relationships with men who were good to her and loved her right), she was sure that somewhere a grandiose carnival was going on in the sky and she was missing it.

it’s a metaphor for a love that’s grand, larger-than-life, passionate, and all-consuming. it’s a love so grand that it goes beyond what’s typically considered realistic or attainable. that even something as admired and beautiful as a sunset seems insignificant next to the magnitude of this love. it’s a love that surpasses everything we typically know as beautiful or extraordinary.

i use "my grandiose carnival in the sky" as a tag for my boyfriend kase in him, i found that kind of love, larger than life, beyond expectations, and grander than a beautiful sunset.

i don’t know if it’s bec i work on a lot of cases but not so much on my notarial services, but i swear i fucking enjoy (probably a little too much) making simple documents, printing them out, signing them, using my different stamps, putting them on record in my notarial book, and then using my seal on them. i feel like a little girl journaling or using her newly bought stickers.
