Finally
I finally finished my design work. In my interview, I have lots of favourite parts. I think these experiences are unforgettable. I am very grateful for all this, and I passed it too. The design of others, to learn a lot of experience, I want to learn from each other is very important, in all classroom lectures, we have learned a lot of design stylwaywn work is more affected by the fourth-week address. Finding a way to break through the ego in the traditional style is more precious to me.

WHAT THE ‘F’
Crafts, illustration, and textile design piece by graphic designer Claudia Aksha of Jakarta, Indonesia
“The name Girls Gone Wild is chosen for this zine because it resembles how radical feminists were in the past, which is out of the norm and have no fear. And this zine will fully talk about radical feminism and the impact of radical feminism in the 21st century. Girls Gone Wild Zine is a little bit different from other feminism zine because GGW Zine criticize feminism (not in a bad way). GGW Zine criticize what feminism or feminist today often to forget and missed in today’s context. GGW Zine is straightforward, sarcastic and out of the feminist norm. GGW Zine is still a feminist zine, just in a different way.
The materials chosen for this zine is very unconventional, it’s not like how zine is normally produced. The reason behind it is because I wanted to discusses radical feminism in a radical way which is going outside the norm of how a zine should be.”

Because of your article, I learn a lot about the Bauhaus.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
The Bauhaus movement gets its name from an institution, named the Bauhaus, founded in the city of Weimar by architect Walter Gropius in 1919. It was a school, a place where Gropius could train artists under his avant-garde concept of Gesamtkunstwerk. Roughly translating to “total art work”, the idea was that all the arts could be unified together. While first substantially supported as a way to unify visual arts, music, and dance by Richard Wagner, Gropius saw a similar unification of fine art and decorative crafts through architecture.
The Bauhaus was opened as something of a utopian crafts guild, where aspiring fine artists and architects were trained in decorative arts ranging from cabinetmaking to textiles to pottery. Metalworking, typography, and photography also found places within the Bauhaus movement. By learning to perfect these crafts, artists and architects found new ways to unify decorative and fine arts in their designs.

Even though we are not in the same class, but we all could design the fantastic alphabet by using cutting paper.

This is a very good conclusion for that week’s lecture.

# WEEK 7 Lecture
I think most of people have heard such slogan “ Less is more”
It is said by Mies and all his works have such style.
One of his classic work is German Pavilion.I really like this work!
The concept Mies was offered the commission of this building in 1928 after his successful administration of the 1927 Werkbund exhibition in Stuttgart. The German Republic entrusted Mies with the artistic management and erection of not only the Barcelona Pavilion, but for the buildings for all the German sections at the 1929 International Exhibition. However, Mies had severe time constraints—he had to design the Barcelona Pavilion in less than a year—and was also dealing with uncertain economic conditions. However, Mies still slayed all the dragons of architecture!
In the years following World War I, Germany started to turn around. The economy started to recover after the 1924 Dawes Plan. The pavilion for the International Exhibition was supposed to represent the new Weimar Germany: democratic, culturally progressive, prospering, and thoroughly pacifist; a self-portrait through architecture.[1] The Commissioner, Georg von Schnitzler said it should give “voice to the spirit of a new era”.[2] This concept was carried out with the realization of the “Free plan” and the “Floating roof”.
My Opinion
I like LESS IS MORE.Mies’s style is very simple and pure, and it is very suitable for material control. I think the best thing about him is the rational design of the space hierarchy. Although his architectural structure is very simple, he cleverly used different planes to cut and arrange the space to reproduce the definition. For example, the spatial classification of the German Pavilion is clear, each level is axisymmetric, and each of the furnishings in the German Pavilion is the terminal of the space level, so the tour route is actually certain, but gives a false image of the free plane.

week 10
I thought it would be fun to dive deep into the Guerilla Girls topic from the week 10′s lecture. Basically, they are feminist activists that use facts, humor and outrageous visuals to expose gender and ethnic bias in the public. Their works are ironic and funny, all focused on the feminism.
