so it is weird but until last week i did not feel old - definitely did not feel i got wiser or more mature.
last week i went to a funeral of my beloved uncle. and i saw how frail and sick my other uncles and aunts were, how grown up all of their kids were (all married with kids), and how grown up their kids’ kids were (many in high school or some even in college). i felt so sad and so much compassion for my cousins who lost their father and for my other cousins watching their parents’ life force fading.
and i suddenly felt so old like i aged 20 years.
i thought i had a better work - life balance than my parents but now i think i should really enjoy what life i still have. i am seriously thinking of retiring now even though i am still capable of doing my job well.
